WOW. Just bought Rando. Professional music producer of 20+ years, and this is simply game-changing for my workflow. I was hitting one of those very low stages, and feeling uninspired, with thoughts of quitting. No joke, after playing with Rando for an hour and seeing what it’s capable of, I was jumping around, thanking god for this gift 😂. Absolute game-changer for me! THANK YOU 🙏🏼 I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars on software over the years, not to use most of it. I can already tell that I’ll be using Rando in every session from now on, it’s exactly what I was looking for and more. Much respect. 💎

One of the best VST I’ve seen in decades, No 🧢. I bought and tested it since 2 days and I find it incredibly effective & intelligent. The algorithmic for the bpm sync/stretching concerning the loops is also quite impressive.

I’ve been a huge proponent of building your own massive sample library on a multi-terabyte drive, effectively creating your own version of Splice. With all the sample pack bundle deals and free samples out there plus making your own, it’s very attainable to do. This Rando plugin fantastically fits that ideology.

Friendly greetings again! I appreciate your quick support reply, which encouraged me to buy Rando, because you have a fair refund policy. I'm really impressed by your smart implementation of the most useful features in a clean layout, including the ⚡ LIFE control and the easy Chromatic mode switch, which is something a lot of samplers lack to "focus in" - just now, I wanted to isolate an 808 Bass from the whole "kit" and just play it up and down the keys, and voila! I like the sensible things that fold multiple steps into one, like the pitch detection... are you using some kinda AI tech for the sound type recognition? I'm going to find out how it handles under load with dozens of instances. I enjoy tools that help me discover treasures laying around on my SSDs and spark hidden connections between them. THANK YOU FOR RANDO and I hope you keep iterating it over the long-run!

Looks interesting! Just wondering.. a) when you’re searching for loops inside this is with BPM sync selected is it 1.finding those loops by BPM in the name 2.searching for loops by analysing the loops themselves independent of title, or 3. is it automatically quantising the loops found. B)same thing I’m wondering for sample pitch when searching - is it transposing the sounds to match the specific key/note or is it finding samples that are in that key already (from title). If the plugin is capable of analysing the BPM of all folders of loops without having them to be labelled that’s very handy!

I can't get it to populate more than 4 keys of 88 keys even when I've told it the key range and did a reinstall. Any ideas?

It’s is WILD to me that this isn’t being talked about more. Just installed and I can’t pull myself away from my computer. The ideas you’re going to have are endless and it’s so seamlessl, well designed, robust, AND incredibly inexpensive. I would’ve paid 300 for this. Call me interested. Is there a way to drag and drop samples from Rando into my DAW? One future suggestion I have is making the loop points snap into grid so that we can hold down a note and have the looping part be exactly on time. Like when I want to fill a section with a time stretched sample that's 8 beats but I only want to use the first half as is and then loop the next part 4 times over by snapping the looping points to the 5th beat and holding down the key.
Hi, if you hold down the mouse over the waveform you can drag your sample into your DAW. Regarding your comment: great suggestion!! Will add that to our list! 🙏🏻

We will have an update next week so you can pick smaller keyboards as well, but the more keys the more fun! 😃
Love it! Can you select a folder of specific samples (ex: a set of drum kit one shots) to assign to part of the keyboard?
Yes you can! There is an import function in the top right that let’s you bulk import your samples! ❤️

Is there a way to switch out samples on individual keys? Also, crossfade on looping would be an awesome feature.
Yes, you can swap existing notes, import samples. Crossfade on looping will be implemented next week!

Hey! Love the plug in. One issue im having is if my one shots are overlapping. 808s for example. I cant seem to find a way to make the synth mono/legato? Is this an option and am I just being dumb? haha.

@@monkeyc_audio I've been experimenting Rando for long time and I love it! Definitely Rando is a keeper for me. I'm having lots of fun from sequence mode as well!
In next update though, it'd be awesome if I can have sustain note option on sequence mode and panning on each single sample (or at the sequence).

Can you set certain keys to receive certain types of samples? For instance starting at C1 it searches for nothing but percussion samples and and C2 it searches for nothing but loops.
This is on our roadmap!
Is it multitimbral?
In normal mode Rando has a keyboard full of different sounds that can be played simultaneously. In chromatic mode you have one sound spread across the keyboard. Rando has multi out so in normal mode you can route different sounds to different outputs!

This is great, but I'm confused as to why you have the BPM and key hidden in the UI until you hover over it? It doesn't seem like that serves much of a purpose, and you could argue that it's actually bad UX. It took me a while to figure out where to change the BPM.
hi! We wanted to keep the design clean from buttons you don't use often! But we will change how these button are displayed in the beginning, so you know where they are! ❤️
@@monkeyc_audio I can appreciate that, but I don't think that having those two options will clutter up the interface, especially with all the controls down at the bottom that are on two lines. I would suggest you could even remove the icons to the left of the dropdown menus and just make them the default option in the menu itself to simplify it a bit yet keep them visible. Anyway, thanks for the response!

Evolution was made by out of the box thinking, so put your head out of it :))) ps: if you read carefully my comment, this can be done JUST with access just from the owner of the folders (if that is your concern). Personally I will agree to share my sample folders if I know I will have access to exponentially more from other users. It is very very inspiring when you go through other producers sample selections

A really great to the point overview of Rando 👍👍👏👏👏👏 BUT what I can’t understand is WHY these developers don’t put a dedicated filter with its own ADSR envelope on these plugins……..it’s essential to shaping sounds 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ hopefully in an update 🙏🙏🙏

we extract features from the filename (like type, key and bpm), we are working on sample classification based on the audio
