This was exactly what I needed, removing it without removing a stopper, unstitching etc. Bought replacements that go on to a zip that it in place by clipping on, will see how they go.
Awesome. I just bought one to fix my favorite backpack. I had originally just lost the pull tab, so I designed a new one then the crown (tab holder) broke. I knew it would be too much effort to replace the entire zipper. I had trouble figuring out how to get rid of the previous. Tried your video method, but my previous zipper slider was a medium metal one and wouldn't snap. So I read your comment with the flat head screw driver to get the side, and it worked great. I would get that comment of yours on the website it was very helpful (If it was on website I didn't see it). Thanks~
Legit product, worked great. Used small wire cutters to snip off old zipper per the video. Fixnzip went right on just like the other videos and Voila! -- my favorite hoodie has new life.
Hi, thanks for the video. Unfortunately, I could not get the cutters to cut the nose of the zipper slider. The cutters were too weak. So, instead, I took a hacksaw with a metal blade and placed the saw on the top of the slider at a location adjacent the longitudinal edge of the nose and sawed (in the longitudinal direction) off the top portion of the slider that covered the teeth. You have to be careful to not damage the teeth, so it is a little risky, but it worked.

Thank you!!!
It worked!!
What is the cutter you used? Mine won't work!
Hi Karee, I don't have those anymore because that was about 10 years ago. Currently using Milwaukee Brand cutters. Part # 48-22-6108
How do you remove without wire cutters ? My zip is very hard to cut off. I saw someone mentioned with a flat head screw driver
How do you put a new slider on?
best vid ever
Might be an exaggeration, but we'll take it!
what if you don't have plyers can a knife work ?
Thanks for the video. Can you show another way of removing the slider? I’m having trouble cutting through mine.
In the end, I broke it apart with heavy duty pliers. 👍
The new fixnzip slider is working great too.
What if you want to remove it because it's zipped up and stuck. Does it still work
If you cut the zipper slider off, it won't be usable afterward. This is only in situations where you have a replacement slider ready to go.
Not helpful, my slider is strong but I can only fit a small cutter in there.
I ended up cutting it off with a tiny saw blade that I normally use to cut screws in half. Not many people will have those.
and how do i put a new one in?
Hi, if you check out our other videos we have videos covering installing a new one.
Now how do you put a new one in xD
Great question, if you check out our other videos we have a lot covering that.
What a guy 😝😹 ahahahaha
