I was telling my girl that I was praying they would play this song. When Aaron started telling his Underoath origin story, I turned to her and said "Wait... is HE here?!" I couldnt believe I not only finally got to hear this song live but the OG took the stage. SUCH A GOOD NIGHT!
I can't remember the exact year, but I saw them together at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa OK around 2006 - 2008... it was great! Crazy that was 15+ years ago😂😂😂
When he walked out I was speechless. I took my 18yr old daughter who's heard all these songs since birth in my truck & she immediately asked me if "I was ok"😅. F*cking Epic!!! Long Live Underoath ♥️♥️♥️
Actually crying. The Changing of Times was in my headphones constantly in high school. I felt so alienated, in contrast to how thriving I felt in middle school when everyone I knew it felt was bumping They're Only Chasing Safety and Define The Great Line. For Dallas to come out, and still be fighting despite his ATV accident years back, is nothing short of inspiring. Thank you Underoath and thank you OP for uploading this 🙏
The EMOtion in this footage is surreal. I’m in tears. My 12yo self would’ve shit himself if he knew he was gonna witness this someday at 33yo. Dang, been an UnderØath fan for a while now.
I saw Underoath in 2002 in Toronto at the Opera House opening for Terror, Eighteen Visions and Throwdown. I'd never heard of them but from that day I was hooked. They finished the set with Alone in December. The venue was half empty. I'm glad folks got to witness this moment!
...so, you can imagine my shock when Maybe four or five years later I saw them at one of the festivals and the New York New Jersey area only to discover that they had turned into a post hardcore band along the likes of Thursday and My Chemical Romance Etc

Fred joining Taking Back Sunday onstage and Dallas joining Oath onstage in the same week. 2024 has become 2004 again for one small moment in December and we're all here for it
@@dashoopss indeed, before their last song he mentioned the 4-wheeler accident and that he should not be alive rn, and that there is a God and He loves you; I myself am not religious but it truly is a miracle, glad he’s doing okay (Tbh I didn’t know about that at first and kinda assumed the eyepatch was for aesthetic purposes for some reason, lol…)
I swear I had a dream about something like this happening recently, but swore it never would for various reasons. I'm so glad it did, and Dallas sounds incredible. I saw them for the first time in 2002 on the Terror, Eighteen Visions, and Throwdown tour, I was only 18. I'll never forget how polite and welcoming he was to me, both he and Chris. The next time they came to my city, they were exactly the same. Except this time Dallas pointed me out from afar and as he claimed he remembered me. It tripped me out. So, it was hard to not want to support him and UO. When he was gone, it all changed for me. I dug Spencer as I used to love This Runs Through as well, but when Dallas left, so did my love for Underoath. I love that he went on to do Maylene as it was clearly something he loved. Even if it wasn't for me. He always seemed like such an incredible person. When he got in that accident I was crushed for him and his family. The fact that he recovered and overcame everything is nothing short of inspirational. Seeing this was emotional for me, for sure. Thank you so much for recording it.
Well said Miguel - seeing Spencer leave was heartbreaking, especially given the circumstances. And being a fan of This Runs Through too, it was weird to see the two worlds becoming one. Super happy for the guys' careers and that they've been able to do this for almost 30 years but I always wonder what uO would've been if Dallas stayed.
We had a venue in Douglasville called the Seven Venue that was owned by some of the Chariot and Dallas was a regular to shows there because he was living in Alabama, not far. And he was the kindest person at all times. Its a miracle he made it through that ATV accident and to be singing in a band again is true resilience.
In 2005 my friends and I were in a church band and had the opportunity to play some heavy songs one night at our church event. We performed this song and A Brushed Red. I did drums and screams, and my hest friend did lead guitar and clean vocals. This song holds a special place in my heart❤❤❤
Epic I was in Philadelphia at the show for what was Dallas’ last show with the band, of course unbeknownst to everyone in the crowd that day. Now 21 years later, it’s full circle and a beautiful thing to see; especially with all Dallas has had to overcome.
Everyone watching there was soo lucky they saw this live with dallas. I mean, i'm just watching this on YT and it brings me to tears. The nostalgia is just soo immense
My tears suddenly comming out and had a small flash back with all the feelings and memories, my friends used to repeat the music video for almost everyday.
I'm not sure how you can stay dry eyed knowing how hard life has been for Dallas Taylor since his crash. I am so happy that they did this and excited to see Dallas killing it again with Maylene!!
Crazy.. the first time i ever saw underoath was 2000. They had corpse paint on. Dallas was on vocals. Cries from the past was insane at the time. Was blown away. Ended up playing shows with them off and on in a band i was in. Became friends with dallas. Of course i moved away and just lost touch. Probably wouldnt even recognize me. But i heard what happened and him leaving the band. Bummed me out so bad. Seeing this is amazing. So glad this moment in time happened. Underoath was such an important part of my life in the early early 2000s. Love those dudes.
This brings my heart joy. Dallas is the man. I remember seeing this live when I was a teenager, and then I got to see him with Maylene a few years ago at Furnace Fest...and he killed it. His story is incredibly moving.
I was hoping for Cries of the Past but glad to see him back on stage. Only saw them once shortly after the changing of times came out but they still played a few COTP songs and a blended together Act of Depression song.
It's so weird; Define The Great Line was the first album I ever heard of Underoath back in middle school, but I ended up buying all of their albums I could find. Somehow, even though this album was probably the 3rd one I bought, it somehow gives me the most nostalgic feeling out of all of them.
The cowards of faith ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for teaching us to give up when the going gets tough and we are uncomfortable with truth. All of are nostalgic as you should be and as am I. The only lesson I get from this is a reminder to not put people on a pedestal
My heart feels so good seeing Dallas share that stage. Drastically different time in their musical endeavors but I thoroughly appreciate everything Underoath all the way back to Act of Depression
def would of been fucking cool to see life. just watching this i got chills. literally watched this music video 1000+ times my senior year of high school.
Pls stop crying about swear words 😂
I can't believe this is real...I'm in tears.
Yeah I straight up cried. Way harder than I was prepared for.
I was in the front. I cried as soon as I saw him on the side stage. This cured my depression last night
@ I feel you on every level and I wasn’t even there.
so cool!!
I'm crying just watching this video. Peace out zoloft, this is all I needed

ALL I NEED IS A CRIES OF THE PAST REUNION SET AND THATS IT
Those two metal albums were unreasonably good and still hold up
That's exactly what I've been craving since 2000. It'll never happen :(
Different guitarists. Although one is active in a band right now so it could happen just without Aaron.
And an Act of Depression reunion set too!
I witnessed this live this was gold. Never thought I’d see this. Dallas crushed it.
We need a underoath and maylene tour
I can't remember the exact year, but I saw them together at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa OK around 2006 - 2008... it was great! Crazy that was 15+ years ago😂😂😂

@@sethschuhmacher4399That was in 2007 with Poison the Well and ETID. Still hands down the best show I've been to 🙌

Wow… that would have been terrors first tour!
2000? I figured they were still Black Metal at that the time. Either way that's awesome! What band was your uncle in?

This is actually insane. So cool of them to do this, and to hear from Aaron's perspective as well.
