I can’t believe you did not include Nudiflorum in this video. I love all perfumes in the Nasomatto line. But Fantomas is my favorite and Nudiflorum is a close second. Both are big compliment pullers (people ask me all the time what I am wearing when I wear those fragrances (they are very intriguing and unusual) Truly Niche Material

How funny that you've actually created another category "Villains" 👹 and yes Nudiflorum is in that category for me😱 I need to revisit this fragrance as there's been a lot of love expressed in the comments here...but oh my, I wanted to love this perfume ages ago, but just couldn't (what a weird and crazy combination🤢)....but as mentioned, going to try again and see how this plays out for me. If you're drinking coffee for the buzz, Maté actually has better sustained energy release....just saying🧉😬
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector, I tried Nudiflorum just one time...I will never try again. The fragrance wore me, not the other way around. It felt like the evil Riot symbiot from the Marvel movie "Venom" haha. I was trying very hard to wash it off - unsuccessfully. My girl could sense the smell of it on me for days after I wore it. As for the mate - I really like it, but there is one BIG "but". The energy hit I get from it is insane..I turn into the tasmanian devil. With coffee I always have the option to go for decaf. In Europe we have a soft drink called "Club Mate" with mate extract - huge fan of it and I drink it regularly

Water here. I pretty much only drink water, and have done for most of my life. I love the stuff. Big fan of the Nasomatto house from what I’ve tried so far. Baraonda is a personal favourite, Pardon is nice too but a tad too animalic for me. You’ve really spurred my interest in Orto Parisi so I look forward to trying some of them at some point. Keep up the good work man, I really enjoy your content. Very classy, well thought out and presented stuff. I know it doesn’t appeal as much to the algorithm as TOP 10 COMPLIMENT BEAST videos, but I’m glad there is fragrance content like this still on UA-cam. 😆🙌🏻
Yes, the entire Nasomatto range is exceptional and I love that you find Pardon animalic, I don't find that for me but I'm going to say that you're right. The fact that it creates 'lustful' desires in those that come in contact with the wearer (I thought it was only me, but have discovered (and in particular recently with my friend) that others feel the same way about the fragrance) because 'musks' have always been seen as sexual lures....so yes, there must be some musks in here (I love that Alessandro doesn't disclose notes; genius) Appreciate the support @sirsillagesniffington5064 🧡👊🏽💫 It is tough when I know the answer to big subscriber numbers is more of the "Top 10" etc type of productions but I'm interested in the artistry of perfumery, I know that this takes me to other brands that don't have the big following (yet). I am making sure to find the balance with it all. One for the Algorithm, 2 for me😬
cool fellow celo! Hope all is well brother. As you know I recently purchased Tony Iommi. Ive had an 8ml decant of Herod even months before the Tony. So Ive spent some time with it. I have to agree. Completely different scents. Lets just say I blind bought Tony and will be getting a back up bottle. I have the decant of Herod, and it will still be around when I get to my 3rd Tony. The ONLY tobacco fragrance Ive smelled that comes close to captivating my attention the way Tony Iommi does is Amouage Royal Tobacco. THAT is a battle I'd have some trouble with.

Nice format and review! Thanks for the effort. I really like the Xerjoff TI. I don’t get a strong similarity with Herod, but straight away I thought of Initio Blessed Baraka. Nasomatto is an interesting house. I willl buy black afgano and can see myself getting a bottle of silver musk if I find a good price. Others I’m still exploring. My current impressions. Silver musk - very wearable and perfect for summer / spring. Nice performance, easy reach but not generic. Baraonda - photorealistic whisky note. Good longevity and unique. I don’t mind florals but just wish this composition didn’t pull so much roses as I don’t associate the notes together, but maybe that’s the point. Signature worthy for someone for sure. Black afgano - perfect scent for getting dressed up. Oozes sophisticated style and seriousness. Pardon - bitter sour patchouli dark chocolate. Ive worn it a lot and still sway with my opinion. Maybe this is exclusive to very cool weather for me. Duro - masculine woody with a touch of smoke and spice. I am sensitive to leather, so fortunately I don’t get too much. Not my regular style of fragrance, but it makes a nice impression. Absinthe - nice green herbal, but I was expecting more anis vibe, so maybe that disappoints me. I didn’t get much performance either. Fantomas - I get a big wack of melon-plastic with a lick of rubber. Feels like an extroverted fragrance, which I don’t mind if it gives with me, but I’ll have to give it much more time. Nudiflorum - Super funk on my skin. Might just be my, but it’s what I’d wear as a zookeeper if I wanted to impress the baboons. I didn’t give narcotic Venus much of a chance as it popped way too tuberose for me. Balamage wasn’t my cup of tea from the leather. I dismissed china white a bit too quickly off the first spray, but I will give it another chance, especially considering it’s being discontinued, I better check out if it’s for me or not.

I am yet to convert over to this fragrance, it’s not currently in my collection I get an extreme, bitter floral note, mixed in with an animalic somethings something that just blows my brain🤯 I know that I need to revisit this Fragrance, it’s been about a year since I last tested. Maybe this Time around I’m ready for it….or maybe not 😳 I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts upon further testing that you might do👊🏽
Great Maté Talk, perfect length! And I'm drinking [water] I've looked into going to Milan for the Fueguia meetup, I got free from work, so count me in! Going to order plane tickets tomorrow, very excited. Love that you are talking about the Nasomatto's again, although I don't agree with your ranking system. Blamage and Fantomas in 🎖5-star-Generals? Those are two of the scents I love the most from Nasomatto so far, and I don't see myself as a general, but still a rookie. 🙃 Blamage, on fragrantica rated as a Leathery, woody and smoky scent... I find it a sweet scent and love it, very pleasing to my nose, unlike Duro. I also like Duro, it excites me, but I find it heavy and very very masculine. Then Fantomas, you described it as smelling as a black tire and on fragrantica listed as plastic and rubber. I kind of didn't want to like it because I thought, I like natural and organic materials. But I love it, wearing it to work tomorrow haha. I find it amazing how this line of perfumes, which you advised me to wait a year before smelling them, are almost all winners for me while having smelled most perfumes of Creed, Amouage and Parfums de Marly but didn't enjoy them, maybe Aventus Cologne in the summer. From Amouage I like Reflection and Epic man, but most of the 30 smelled fragrances were not for me. It's a shame that decants of Nasomatto and Orto Parisi are hard to come by here, but when I go to Milan I plan to visit a retailer. But I don't think I have much budget left after getting some Fueguia's. 😮💨

I just received Island Lush by Goldfield & Banks today. It is really good. At first I literally felt like I was on a tropical beach next to a lush tropical forest. It is amazing how they created that experience. Then, it gets that play dough smell that you get with scents like Le Lion, in a good way and with a tropical twist. Then the tropical fruit smells come out after a few hours, but are subtle. This is not a boring scent. It is really beautiful. Get your nose on it.

Talking about HEROD. May I suggest? Just try, test, TOBACCO MANIAC from Theodoros Kalotinis! It's PERFECTION. If you like the honey vibe from Naxos AND the tobacco from HEROD, then you will love Tobacco Maniac. A beautiful mix of realistic tobacco cigar. In the dry down, it becomes a beautiful tobacco-spicy blend with a noticeable honey vanilla in the background. A seductive and very well-blended scent.
Hi Marcelo, Congrats on 2 years. What I'm drinking depends on what time I catch the episode but today its Chocolate Orange flavoured coffee. Glad you said Tony wasn't too similar to Herod because I didn't dislike Herod but it seemed like a let down after all the UA-cam hype it gets (I blame Demi Rawling). I'll have to give some Nasomato ones a try. I've only tried Black Afgano and I agree it wasn't the best place to start, so I'll try starting with silver musk as you suggest.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Carbonara by Lorenzo Pazzaglia has about the same ‘heft’ as MDCI’s Chypre Palatin. If you can handle that and use the same conservative spraying with Carbonara, you’re in for a similar scent journey. Both last for the rest of the day, so no picking a refresh o’somethin’ else at 5pm…
I tend to drink either tea or coffee (tea at this very moment). I like, and drink, both equally. I do drink chai (tea) frequently during the cooler months. I'm a big fan of cloves and spices. My scents of the day are the Aaron Terence Hughes 2023 versions of Slut and Legend (I'm testing both for the 1st time today). I picked up his Discovery Set consisting of 8×10mls of his 2023 fragrances (mostly reformulated although Hard Candy Elixir is new) with the Set arriving a few hours ago. So far I'm extremely impressed. Slut and Legend are quite the departure from the previous versions, which were good in their own right, however the new versions are even better. I also received 3 samples today from Boadicea The Victorious, namely Ardent, Iceni and Imperial. On days like this I wish I had more than 2 arms (and no, I'm not spraying them on my legs). 😂

(I know when I'm doing Zoom Masterclasses and we have over 10 fragrance's to smell, you better believe that pants are off😬) Really good to hear that the new formulations on ATH are bigger hitters (had a feeling that they would be). @@TheNicheFragranceCollector lol Marcelo. I'll wear a pair of shorts to preserve my dignity. 😂 My SOTD is ATH Tabac, a stunning fragrance, slightly smokey with enormous projection and longevity . I'm also comparing a sample of PdM Greenley with Brioni EDP Intense. Both contain a green apple note. Greenley is clearly much brighter and fresher with the Brioni scent much darker and more complex with added patchouli, vanilla and oud. I'll be purchasing Greenley over the next few months having initially dismissed it several months ago as being rather basic. I'm still not fully on board with Megamare but there's still time lol. I have warmed to it. Bergamask has been less successful, it still smells pissy to me. 😬 Hope you are keeping well. 👍

I dont really see Baraonda for the rookies, its so special and daring, deffinatly no blind buy, but all the fragrances by gualtierie should be tried before, I think. I missed Nudiflorum in this ranking a bit, I think it should be in the same categorie as Fantomas, dont you think so? By the way, there is one more fragrance thats sadly dicontinued: Hindu grass! @@TheNicheFragranceCollector It is unique, I tried other fragrances it is compared to but none come near to it, in my opinion. On me it is mossy and sweetly animalistic and rhubarb is very prominent. But I don't have enough knowledge to say if this are correct notes. It is sexy, not Narcotic V sexy.,very primal and has a little bit vintage vibe. I think it really can be too much in hot and humid weather, but so far I only wore it in cold. I can't wait for you review! Thank you for kind words, best regards!

Great to connect with you Glenn👊🏽 In my opinion the Nasomatto's are not designed for really warm days (well at least I don't use them like this...because there's a lot more kick to them, I personally prefer a more aromatic/citrus fragrance on warm/hot days)....however on a warmer spring day, nothing is more glorious than Silver Musk; it's almost 'refreshing' in it's scent profile. However on a warm/hot evening in the middle of summer Baraonda is magical (but not during the day, I prefer the evening better) Hope that helps Glenn...good luck my friend👊🏽 Thank you for your support and positive energy💫

This is not a brand that I am in yet. May eventually get samples, but trying to finish off my Fragrance du Bois' currently (which have been absolutely horrendous - bad performance with high prices, unoriginal profiles with that sweet-jammy rose basically in every 3rd fragrance, the €700 price tier scents are all an absolute tragedy performance/profile wise). Thinking about adding 2 Xerjoffs currently with the 15% promo, likely doing T22 with something, not sure yet with what.
I have two questions. A) Do you have a section like you did on these Nasomattos but with Orto Parisi stuff also? B) I was waiting for you to mention Nudiflorum - an indolic, slightly funky, green scent that is very challenging - would this have been a 5 star general?
I never got the chance to test out Nuda....I did hear that it was a very intense Jasmin/white floral but only from things that I read (did you get the chance?) Drinking La Via del Te from Florence, my favorite is the Rooibos Vanilla Cream. These aren't ones that you can pick up and instantly go "yep, totally love it"....well at least that wasn't the case for me. Both nasomatto n orto paradi are great fragrances houses. Nadomatto black afgano baronda ultimate. Nasomatto megamare , terroni, n begamask beast mode perfumes. Viride n all r not so good.

I can’t believe you did not include Nudiflorum in this video. I love all perfumes in the Nasomatto line. But Fantomas is my favorite and Nudiflorum is a close second. Both are big compliment pullers (people ask me all the time what I am wearing when I wear those fragrances (they are very intriguing and unusual) Truly Niche Material

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector, I tried Nudiflorum just one time...I will never try again. The fragrance wore me, not the other way around. It felt like the evil Riot symbiot from the Marvel movie "Venom" haha. I was trying very hard to wash it off - unsuccessfully. My girl could sense the smell of it on me for days after I wore it.
As for the mate - I really like it, but there is one BIG "but". The energy hit I get from it is insane..I turn into the tasmanian devil. With coffee I always have the option to go for decaf. In Europe we have a soft drink called "Club Mate" with mate extract - huge fan of it and I drink it regularly

Water here. I pretty much only drink water, and have done for most of my life. I love the stuff.
Big fan of the Nasomatto house from what I’ve tried so far. Baraonda is a personal favourite, Pardon is nice too but a tad too animalic for me. You’ve really spurred my interest in Orto Parisi so I look forward to trying some of them at some point.

Yes, the entire Nasomatto range is exceptional and I love that you find Pardon animalic, I don't find that for me but I'm going to say that you're right.
The fact that it creates 'lustful' desires in those that come in contact with the wearer (I thought it was only me, but have discovered (and in particular recently with my friend) that others feel the same way about the fragrance) because 'musks' have always been seen as sexual lures....so yes, there must be some musks in here (I love that Alessandro doesn't disclose notes; genius)

Hope all is well brother. As you know I recently purchased Tony Iommi. Ive had an 8ml decant of Herod even months before the Tony. So Ive spent some time with it. I have to agree. Completely different scents. Lets just say I blind bought Tony and will be getting a back up bottle. I have the decant of Herod, and it will still be around when I get to my 3rd Tony. The ONLY tobacco fragrance Ive smelled that comes close to captivating my attention the way Tony Iommi does is Amouage Royal Tobacco. THAT is a battle I'd have some trouble with.
I love the opening rhyme on the name, Shawn😎 and yes, totally agree with your comments on Tony. I have a feeling that I may be sporting a third bottle in the future too🤟🏽… especially at the rate that I’m spraying this baby♥️🔥

I really like the Xerjoff TI. I don’t get a strong similarity with Herod, but straight away I thought of Initio Blessed Baraka.
Nasomatto is an interesting house. I willl buy black afgano and can see myself getting a bottle of silver musk if I find a good price. Others I’m still exploring. My current impressions.
Silver musk - very wearable and perfect for summer / spring. Nice performance, easy reach but not generic.
Baraonda - photorealistic whisky note. Good longevity and unique. I don’t mind florals but just wish this composition didn’t pull so much roses as I don’t associate the notes together, but maybe that’s the point. Signature worthy for someone for sure.
Black afgano - perfect scent for getting dressed up. Oozes sophisticated style and seriousness.
Pardon - bitter sour patchouli dark chocolate. Ive worn it a lot and still sway with my opinion. Maybe this is exclusive to very cool weather for me.
Duro - masculine woody with a touch of smoke and spice. I am sensitive to leather, so fortunately I don’t get too much. Not my regular style of fragrance, but it makes a nice impression.
Absinthe - nice green herbal, but I was expecting more anis vibe, so maybe that disappoints me. I didn’t get much performance either.
Fantomas - I get a big wack of melon-plastic with a lick of rubber. Feels like an extroverted fragrance, which I don’t mind if it gives with me, but I’ll have to give it much more time.
Nudiflorum - Super funk on my skin. Might just be my, but it’s what I’d wear as a zookeeper if I wanted to impress the baboons.
I didn’t give narcotic Venus much of a chance as it popped way too tuberose for me. Balamage wasn’t my cup of tea from the leather.
I dismissed china white a bit too quickly off the first spray, but I will give it another chance, especially considering it’s being discontinued, I better check out if it’s for me or not.
It’s 1pm and I’m downing a rootbeer float 😅 taking advantage of this high metabolism as long as it’ll last!

Coffee guy here! I really don’t see the comparison between Herod and Tony Iommi. Herod is a sweet tobacco and vanilla fragrance, Tony is fruity and boozy.
I wouldn’t compare them AT ALL. Herod is a cherry tobacco some say like medicinal . Tony Iommi is a green, passion fruit caramel love.
Yep, totally agree. Herod and Tony = 2 different fragrance's which you can comfortably own both.

I’m 7 months late, but have you tried Nudiflorum ? I’m really curious about your pov. This fragrance is so… I think my nose is not ready yet… but I’d like to understand and enjoy it ! 😅 For now, all I can smell is tar applied on the road on a hot summer day. And I’m not a huge fan… How can I evolve to smell at least something else ? 😬

Those are two of the scents I love the most from Nasomatto so far, and I don't see myself as a general, but still a rookie. 🙃
Blamage, on fragrantica rated as a Leathery, woody and smoky scent... I find it a sweet scent and love it, very pleasing to my nose, unlike Duro.
I also like Duro, it excites me, but I find it heavy and very very masculine. Then Fantomas, you described it as smelling as a black tire and on fragrantica listed as plastic and rubber. I kind of didn't want to like it because I thought, I like natural and organic materials. But I love it, wearing it to work tomorrow haha.
I find it amazing how this line of perfumes, which you advised me to wait a year before smelling them, are almost all winners for me while having smelled most perfumes of Creed, Amouage and Parfums de Marly but didn't enjoy them, maybe Aventus Cologne in the summer. From Amouage I like Reflection and Epic man, but most of the 30 smelled fragrances were not for me.
It's a shame that decants of Nasomatto and Orto Parisi are hard to come by here, but when I go to Milan I plan to visit a retailer. But I don't think I have much budget left after getting some Fueguia's. 😮💨
Update. Pardon is amazing. After sampling, Duro, Barunda, and Black Afgano come in Friday. I am excited. Love this house.

I just received Island Lush by Goldfield & Banks today. It is really good. At first I literally felt like I was on a tropical beach next to a lush tropical forest. It is amazing how they created that experience. Then, it gets that play dough smell that you get with scents like Le Lion, in a good way and with a tropical twist. Then the tropical fruit smells come out after a few hours, but are subtle. This is not a boring scent. It is really beautiful. Get your nose on it.
Nice choices. I own Pardon and Silver musk (this one was my first Nasomatto and boy is it perfect).
Your video comes out quite late for me, so no maté, no coffee, but red wine 🍷 And tonight, it was Italian to prepare myself to the trip ;)

Talking about HEROD. May I suggest? Just try, test, TOBACCO MANIAC from Theodoros Kalotinis! It's PERFECTION. If you like the honey vibe from Naxos AND the tobacco from HEROD, then you will love Tobacco Maniac.
A beautiful mix of realistic tobacco cigar. In the dry down, it becomes a beautiful tobacco-spicy blend with a noticeable honey vanilla in the background. A seductive and very well-blended scent.

Hi Marcelo, Congrats on 2 years. What I'm drinking depends on what time I catch the episode but today its Chocolate Orange flavoured coffee. Glad you said Tony wasn't too similar to Herod because I didn't dislike Herod but it seemed like a let down after all the UA-cam hype it gets (I blame Demi Rawling). I'll have to give some Nasomato ones a try. I've only tried Black Afgano and I agree it wasn't the best place to start, so I'll try starting with silver musk as you suggest.

Comfortably, Herod is nothing like Iommi. I'm yet to convert over to Herod (I have a number of really good tobacco fragrance's, so it's up against some tough competition), but I do know that a lot people love this perfume.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Carbonara by Lorenzo Pazzaglia has about the same ‘heft’ as MDCI’s Chypre Palatin. If you can handle that and use the same conservative spraying with Carbonara, you’re in for a similar scent journey. Both last for the rest of the day, so no picking a refresh o’somethin’ else at 5pm…
I tend to drink either tea or coffee (tea at this very moment). I like, and drink, both equally. I do drink chai (tea) frequently during the cooler months. I'm a big fan of cloves and spices.
My scents of the day are the Aaron Terence Hughes 2023 versions of Slut and Legend (I'm testing both for the 1st time today). I picked up his Discovery Set consisting of 8×10mls of his 2023 fragrances (mostly reformulated although Hard Candy Elixir is new) with the Set arriving a few hours ago. So far I'm extremely impressed. Slut and Legend are quite the departure from the previous versions, which were good in their own right, however the new versions are even better.
I also received 3 samples today from Boadicea The Victorious, namely Ardent, Iceni and Imperial. On days like this I wish I had more than 2 arms (and no, I'm not spraying them on my legs). 😂
Funny, as I'm reading your comments, my brain went "spray on your legs"😂 Naturally I wouldn't suggest you do this in store but hey, in your home...do it baby!! (I know when I'm doing Zoom Masterclasses and we have over 10 fragrance's to smell, you better believe that pants are off😬)
Really good to hear that the new formulations on ATH are bigger hitters (had a feeling that they would be). I'm looking forward to hunting these down when I'm in Italy and see if I can test these out in store (pants up on these tests, FYI)

I'm also comparing a sample of PdM Greenley with Brioni EDP Intense. Both contain a green apple note. Greenley is clearly much brighter and fresher with the Brioni scent much darker and more complex with added patchouli, vanilla and oud. I'll be purchasing Greenley over the next few months having initially dismissed it several months ago as being rather basic. I'm still not fully on board with Megamare but there's still time lol. I have warmed to it. Bergamask has been less successful, it still smells pissy to me. 😬 Hope you are keeping well. 👍

Funny this was a stroke of genius in doing the ranking (if I'm allowed to give my self a pat on the back😂). It was a great success with the Xerjoff line up that I did and I really enjoyed the conversation that it created, that one lunch break as I saw the Nasomatto's all looking at me, I came up with the idea to do it with these guys💫
I always keep my spraying to the same routine (solar plex, stomach and arm), I just don't do the full push all the way down on these ones (BTW the sprayer on the Nasomatto's are incredible, you can regulate the amount that you want, plus it has an awesome spread)

I dont really see Baraonda for the rookies, its so special and daring, deffinatly no blind buy, but all the fragrances by gualtierie should be tried before, I think. I missed Nudiflorum in this ranking a bit, I think it should be in the same categorie as Fantomas, dont you think so? By the way, there is one more fragrance thats sadly dicontinued: Hindu grass! Its my absolutly Patchouli-Love, and I would put it to the semi-pro! Thanks again for sharing all your thoughts with us!!!!

For me, this fragrance is so incredibly unusual that I haven’t quite converted over to it. There has been a number of people mentioning this in the comments on how much they love it so it’s clear that I need to revisit it. 💪🏽
Hindu grass was one that I never had the opportunity to test, and like you I think I would have been in total love with it… Maybe one day I’ll find this somewhere 💫

It is unique, I tried other fragrances it is compared to but none come near to it, in my opinion. On me it is mossy and sweetly animalistic and rhubarb is very prominent. But I don't have enough knowledge to say if this are correct notes.
It is sexy, not Narcotic V sexy.,very primal and has a little bit vintage vibe.
I think it really can be too much in hot and humid weather, but so far I only wore it in cold.

Great to connect with you Glenn👊🏽 In my opinion the Nasomatto's are not designed for really warm days (well at least I don't use them like this...because there's a lot more kick to them, I personally prefer a more aromatic/citrus fragrance on warm/hot days)....however on a warmer spring day, nothing is more glorious than Silver Musk; it's almost 'refreshing' in it's scent profile.
However on a warm/hot evening in the middle of summer Baraonda is magical (but not during the day, I prefer the evening better)

This is not a brand that I am in yet. May eventually get samples, but trying to finish off my Fragrance du Bois' currently (which have been absolutely horrendous - bad performance with high prices, unoriginal profiles with that sweet-jammy rose basically in every 3rd fragrance, the €700 price tier scents are all an absolute tragedy performance/profile wise).
Thinking about adding 2 Xerjoffs currently with the 15% promo, likely doing T22 with something, not sure yet with what.
I have two questions. A) Do you have a section like you did on these Nasomattos but with Orto Parisi stuff also? B) I was waiting for you to mention Nudiflorum - an indolic, slightly funky, green scent that is very challenging - would this have been a 5 star general?

How is silver musk in performance? Never tried
For me very strong and long lasting scent. On clothes lasts like more than 3days and skin lasts a normal busy day

I have to agree that all of Alessandro's fragrance's have a 'sweet' note in there...some more obvious than others. Have you tried any others from his range? Any that you might like?

Both nasomatto n orto paradi are great fragrances houses. Nadomatto black afgano baronda ultimate. Nasomatto megamare , terroni, n begamask beast mode perfumes. Viride n all r not so good.
Interesting that you're not a fan of Viride...this is in my top 5 within Orto Parisi.
But yes, all the others that you listed are perfect and massive love for each of them.
