This was a fantastic watch - the time flew by! You guys have a real great vibe (Kevin’s positive energy is absolutely infectious!), and the production on this was top class. Rapidly becoming one of my favourite channels. 🙌🏻
Wow that was my Wedding scent, Spirit Of Dubai Baz it's a Masterpiece! My favorite scent in my collection, Opulent, Classy, Complex, Sophisticated, Definitely only for connoisseurs in the perfumery, i call the Oriental Diaghilev, Less Animalic than Diaghilev but more complex and Enjoyable Scent, its Hard to describe all the nuances that you got when you are wearing the scent, because all the notes, but I would have to describe this scent from my personal experience and every time I've put it on, It would be like wearing a leather cape with a bright, clean animal background and the oud is located at the bottom of the composition supporting the weight of all the evolutions of the perfume but always having the dark background only reserved for the oud that gives it strength. After 40 minutes i feel a smoky olibanum incense rises along with some fruity/honey notes that naturally gives the fragrance another meaning but feels so different from what one is used to smelling certainly, and when I mention it with diaghilev it is because both fragrances go in the same direction but they are not the same and neither is inspired by the other, they are simply there sharing nuances, but if I had to stay with only one fragrance in my life, with a fragrance that makes me feel the classiest man in my life having tried things like ALD, EO BORTKNIKOFF, and many other things (you know where my olfactory experience goes) without a doubt Baz would be above everything I've tried but it's because of how this one makes me feel fragrance.
Great production. Always great to see the dynamic duo and always good to have a video to go back to for the next time one of my friends fancies trying marriage again.
Great to hear from you Lee and yes, was fun being back with Kevin in the store. These productions are always so much fun to bring together. I can't believe that in Season 1 we were only doing about 3-4 perfumes (pft, what lightweights!) So much better with these big line ups....we cover a lot more ground, plus as you mentioned it can become a bit of a reference video for that special occasion (mind you, you don't need to be going to a wedding or getting married to wear these beauties😍) Thanks for reaching out mate, always good to hear from you👊🏽
I absolutely enjoy watching videos of you both gentelmen together! Great energy! Beautiful perfumes! Quality video production, as always! :) Love your channel ❤
Finally a review on Baz! I fell in love with it last November after trying it and finally broke down and bought it in January. I never looked at the notes but it certainly is a special one. I didnt even think about it being an occasion fragrance and wear it more often than I had imagined. It isnt one that overwhelms and it comforts me in spite of its longevity (not one of those you need to kinda brace yourself for when thinking about wearing it for the day). I like it even more the following day even.... it is super yummy and just gets better and better throughout the day, night and next day :).
My congratulations Mercedes that you have Baz in your collection. We kept speaking about this fragrance being a perfect fragrance for a man, but so happy to hear that it works perfectly on a woman! The way you described it and the way it performs is what I experienced. It was incredible to find that it had awesome staying and projecting power but wasn't overwhelming....it has this wonderful subtle strength to it. My congrats again Mercedes, wonderful to hear from you💫
Totally agree with you that flower notes are the best for wedding day. If I marry, I definitely choose something that has Iris as the main or supportive note. Iris Malikhân, Trimerous, Un Air D'apogee, or Dior homme Intense are in my list.
I got Baz a few months ago and I 100% agree with your impression. Its rich, and complex and deep but at the same time, its also a leather that has been tamed to the point that it feels supple. Like Alcantara on a sports car steering wheel. I think however that the presentation case used was the one from Meydan, another of SOD's popular fragrances. Unfortunately, SOD redesigned the cases last year and are a bit more "toned-down" compared to those beautiful altars they had until last year.
Great to hear from Rey, it was nice to see your handle pop up. And yes, Baz is definitely a winner. I love the way that you defined it...it is exactly that. It has the ability to be strong yet supple at the same time (incredible creation) I haven't seen the new presentation boxes. But I do love the 'altars' that are still available in the Oligarch store 🥰 Thanks again for reaching out, great to hear from you buddy
What an awesome comment to read! Thank you @kristinabrendel7425, so glad that you enjoyed this episode. Not sure if you saw this one that Kevin and I did together: ua-cam.com/video/6PUph2oLTz8/v-deo.html This is now 6 Boadicea that we're discussing! Thanks again @kristinabrendel7425 💫
What an awesome video Marcelo & Kevin. Keep up the good work! Looking forward for the future series. Can't wait. Great to see you both in person. Nice meeting you too Sandra 😁
Two three-piece gangsters! You guys are sharp as tacks....great review and balanced viewpoint. You've made me reconsider floral informed fragrance for men. I do have Creed's Royal Mayfair waiting in the wings for warmer weather. 😎
Hi Fred! Man I really loved that Marcelo told us he wear Florals at weddings. It's so true that you'll stand out, having a more unique scent in a crowd of guys wearing "freshies". Big fan of Royal Mayfair too!
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector oh wow that would be amazing! Though I should probably go with a set amount of cash & leave my card at home if I'm to have you & Kevin be stereo devils on my shoulder! =P
Awesome vid guys, love the idea of the Olfactive memory! I had to laugh though - my wife's first comment was about how the pillows on the couch should have been arranged better 🤣. Take note my single guys - the smallest of details count in marriage!!
The intro reminded me of Men in Black 🤣👌 Love Sora Dora. Still haven't bought my first Boadicea fragrance but leaning towards Imperial. I finally have my bottle of Amouroud Silver Birch though.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the intro😂 This was complete improv. The idea came to me just as we were about to start....I was trying to channel something out of Kingsmen😎 Love all the fragrance's that you mentioned Sandy...but need to point out Silver Birch! How awesome is this perfume. Underrated in my opinion. Exceptional perfume Great to hear from you mate👊🏽
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Thanks Marcelo. I hope you are doing well. I did think of The Kingsmen too. 👍 I went with Silver Birch based on your recommendation. I've only had my bottle a few days but its a wonderful fragrance. I have nothing like it in my collection which is an added bonus. I've also started wearing Torino 21 and Torino 22 this past week with the former primarily for day time use and the latter for the evening, often spraying Torino 22 at night on top of Torino 21. In that context, they work perfectly.
Thank you Cyril🙏🏼 We wanted to dress up for this episode....plus it's the first one in the new Series (we wanted to me a good impression 😉) Thanks for reaching out my friend
Marcelo, that was a baller video, indeed. Fugedaboutit. I think it's proper to call you both the Dynamic Duo. Great video. Always look forward to your videos. Top notch. Cuidate, Marcelo.
Thanks Tony I’m so happy that you enjoyed this episode!💫 it always feels good to be filming alongside Kevin😎🔥 By the way, your parcel with those samples have landed in the US so I’m guessing you’ll be getting those very soon 👍🏽
When I bought Astrea from Oligarch store a couple months ago I'm proud to say I'm the first one to own it in Australia. It smells like Angels roaming around the astral universe. One my best purchase so far😁
You my friend, are ahead of the curve! What an incredible fragrance. That was my first time experiencing this masterpiece; congrats to you for owing this @Yash👊🏽
Yasdi my man! Congrats on the purchase and hoping you've been getting lots of wear out of Astrea. DOn't forget to pop by the Oligarch store to hang out with Marcelo and I on Saturday (tomorrow @ 2pm) See you there!
I still can't get over that rich, luxurious, stately Chesterfield-style, royal berry colored tufted leather furniture you two are sitting in. It would be a worthwhile video discussing what fragrance would best pair with that furniture piece. I've always considered Creed Royal Oud my "fit for a King's coronation", or "most exalted occasion" fragrance. So would it be suited to a wedding for the groom? I have a decant of Spirit of Dubai Turath, which I'm wearing today. I haven't tried Baz yet but am looking forward to it. I don't have a full bottle from the house yet, but that Baz bottle has me hoping.
For me sitting on this leather couch alongside Kevin is "my Oligarch Experience"....I love the way you've described this piece of furniture because you are totally on point. It is actually the 3 member in these episodes; it exudes it's own presence. And yes Royal Oud would be awesome as a Groom Wedding scent....but before you make the final call😉 you need to test out Baz!⚡️ This is incredible, memorable and also fit for a King👑 Thanks for jumping into the conversation @JT, awesome to hear from you👊🏽
Awesome choice! This is another powerhouse fragrance that exudes confident, opulence, with an incredible scent trail....I'm sure that memories flood back when you wear this again🧡 Wonderful to hear from you @m.c.5011, thanks for jumping into the conversation
I have 1.2ml (more than enough haha) sample bottle of Frederic Malle “Promise” from their “Desert Gems” collection and I’m gonna rock that for a wedding (not mine) in May of this year. Would love to try “The Spirit of Dubai” frags in general but for now they are a bit above my spending limit.
I'm yet to experience any of the Desert Gems from Frederic Malle but have heard that each one is exceptional (good luck at the wedding😎) And yes, the Spirit of Dubai fragrances have a 'healthy' price tag on them but they're also really impressive divine fragrances.....you should go in and test Baz (Heavenly!🧡) Thanks for reaching out Bartol, great to hear from you👊🏽
Cavort gives me vibes of Initio's Side Effect, less the hedione/bitterness. I still prefer Secret Tryst from those new releases, but that's obviously not a wedding day fragrance. Astrea appears to be a Delina Exclusif dupe/take, just sweeter. Haven't smelled any of the other ones, but I know I'll eventually get around to the SHL and the Spirit of Dubai.

Spirit of Dubai is a brand I want to try. For the price tag, However could I wear it on a daily basis or even weekly basis? Just like Amouage, could I wear Jubilation XXV on a daily or weekly basis? I love this type of content. Please keep it coming.
My short answer is 100% yes! The one magic about these 'rich' fragrance's is that they are incredibly strong, so you don't need to be heavy handed with the spraying. It will last and project like a beast. I find that this is the case for me with the more bougie fragrance's in my collection; a little goes a long way. Great to hear from you Clarence👊🏽
Baz is something else My top 3 from the line are Baz Abjar and Durrah these frags are soo complex yet so mass pleasing I used to say to my friend it looks like the spirit of dubai hired Dominique Ropion for the compsition and Roja Dove for blending 🙂as they don't reaveal the perfumers.
I love your idea of both Dominique and Roja working together on Baz....this is could totally the case! I know that Roja has some big contacts in Dubai (interesting, interesting 🤔) But the bottomline is that Baz is exceptional.
