Our only hope is The League of Legends MMORPG and Guild Wars 3...literally none of these on the list are THAT fun....those two games might be the last champions as a last ditch effort to save this genre of gaming. MMORPG's been dying. No developer can get it right, new gamers don't love it as much as we did back in the 2000s, new games just aren't that fun. Because of this, devs only target niche audiences who want a very particular MMORPG. gone are the days where one big MMO RPGs gets everyone involved as if its a cultural phenomenon where you and all you're friends are down to play. Nowadays even fun ones are clearly targeting a niche playstyle or a quirk.
WoW was successful regardless of how much it ruined the concept of MMORPGs. Which caused MMORPGs to be created with that template in the definition of what it means to be a MMORPG. Final Fantasy 14 was supposed to be the game which saved the genre. It failed. I just gave you the short version from the perspective of someone who was there when MMORPGs started.
hope soulframe, archeage and aion turn out alright, or at least one of these three, rest look / play a bit junk (some have been released... new world straight up got DOWNGRADED).
Throne and liberty is boring asf, the trading system is basically non-existent and so many game design decisions don't really make sense. I wouldn't be surprised Aion 2 is going to be a flop for NCSoft either with the direction they're going for. There's a large playerbase from Aion dedicated to the IP and they're basically spitting on us with the shift of the Aion's main focus which has always been PvP. I guess NCSoft needs to go down like Ubisoft for them to learn anything
None of those appeal to me and I used to love mmorpgs... have my tastes changed that much, or am I simply not the target audience for any of these games? Stars Reach just looks like a 10x worse Wildstar. As for the bonuses, I doubt I'd enjoy New World any more than I previously did and weapon-based skills haven't been a new thing for years.

i just want a traditional fantasy mmo.. no extra bs.. its like there trying to hard to please casuals an ruining a good traditional fantasy mmo...
Its not like Ashes is going to come out in 2025
Ashes of creation won't be 2025. Still have texting to do. I'd say 2027
If you want a game that feels like a job play Throne and Liberty 😂
Why nothing about Monster Hunter Wilds?
Not really mmo
so basically nothing until 2025
Survival game (aka PvP).
Come play EQ2 origins with me folks
what is with wow and ffxiv??
WoW was successful regardless of how much it ruined the concept of MMORPGs. Which caused MMORPGs to be created with that template in the definition of what it means to be a MMORPG. Final Fantasy 14 was supposed to be the game which saved the genre. It failed. I just gave you the short version from the perspective of someone who was there when MMORPGs started.
Why is no one talking about Evercraft. Hellooo
hope soulframe, archeage and aion turn out alright, or at least one of these three, rest look / play a bit junk (some have been released... new world straight up got DOWNGRADED).
New World is fun
Throne and liberty is boring asf, the trading system is basically non-existent and so many game design decisions don't really make sense. I wouldn't be surprised Aion 2 is going to be a flop for NCSoft either with the direction they're going for. There's a large playerbase from Aion dedicated to the IP and they're basically spitting on us with the shift of the Aion's main focus which has always been PvP. I guess NCSoft needs to go down like Ubisoft for them to learn anything
Which of these games are non P2W game?
New world
Ashes of creation as well. 0 p2w.
@@Adam0193Official will it be available in Asia or SEA region?
Who else still waiting for blue protocol
It’s cancelled is t it?
@ not really sure anymore
throne is 1 of d s game i ever see p2w nothing more and no craft u can find any item from normal mobs
never was a fan of warframe.. so is solframe is like it, I don't/won't like it already
Wish more MMOs had better sound design. Most mmo sound design sucks imo.
Free aim was the only good thing about new world😂
