I was looking for a laser printer and thanks to your video I decided to buy the model you presented. Thanks.
Probably the best review ever watched. Answered all my questions
The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
It's like literally a really huge plus!
Thank you this is really helpful
Can I scan through the cable? can you show us how to set it up? and thank you for the review
Have the same printer and it's so good. She's nice too.
Would have liked to have seen a more detailed color photo/document print results. Also would have like to see the auto scan feed in operation. You didn't mention if it's duplex and can print on both sides at the same time.
For the record, it does have duplex printing. that is what the d designation is for within the model number.
thought you would show how to print labels on it
Fantastic Review 😀
My next printer for sure. Just not keen on giving HP my money for their ink but there are workarounds with their factory cartridges
For the price it looks like it has corp office level copier features. Nice video
good review thanks
Thanks!
Can you scan and copy 2sided to 2 sided paper? I can only do 1 sideed document.
I really like this printer however having a hard time printing envelopes
Thanks
My question is, can I print card stock different weights ?
Do you know how to reset to Factory reset? Ater a while this is saying the password or username are incorrect. I would like to factory reset and start over. Please help
I hope I don't regret buying it, thank you for the review
Could someone please tell me hows the black color quality comparing to different brands? thank you.
Do u regret it?
@@gurleensodhi9810 no way! I literally loved it
this print have both copy?
Is it available in India ? If yes then what's the price ?
Does it automatically print and copy both sides?
Thanks for your review, I know this prints double sided, but does it also copy and scan double sided?
i have the same question as well :)
Can that single paper slot take an 11.5x4 business check?
Thank you for the review. I believe you are somewhere in the Middle East 😎 right?... how much did it cost, please?
Does it have a manual feed area? You did really good at explaining it. (Even though I look at a laser as a "regular printer".)
Yes it does
How well does it take very heavy weight cover paper, (i.e. 65# cover) fed through the manual feed?
@@gizzymuff I haven't had any issues with it printing on some 65 lb ultrasmooth card stock I use for cardmaking. We've had ours for a year now and have been very happy with it.
Am I able to hook up this printer to my computer with just Wi-Fi? Or do I need the USB cable it comes with ?
Better attach it first to your computer through the USB cable so your PC can download it's driver. Still, you can use it directly by searching for it with WIFI.
According to HP, it is also supported by hp-lip 3.19.12+ (Linux driver), which means it should work on both Linux and FreeBSD.
Who in the world in 2023 uses Linux?
@@elmedia1532 Not me. I use FreeBSD on my desktop and laptop. It is the best operating system I have ever used.
Does this print 11x17 paper?
Hi I love your way of presentation! Mine arrived Yesterday and I am so happy with it! especially the function that you can email scans, and save the scans directly to a network folder or google drive, and from google drive! Soon I am going to buy glossy paper for HP Laserjets... Update: I brought it back to the store.
lol what happened with it?
Can this printer do borderless printing? If yes HOW?
Honestly can tell this review is not professional thanks for your help btw HP LaserJet Pro is not just the full name you have to add the m283 and fdw part there are a million HP LaserJet Pro's
How much to buy toner? Black and color
Does it work with Amazon Alexa?
Cut the music out so you can be heard better and it would have been nice to see a color photo.
question; how many prints can you make with the toners that are inside when you buy it new?
We use this for at least 30 prints a week and its now time for new toner- it's been a year and a half of consistent use- hope that helps!!
30 prints x 18 months = 540 (minimum) printouts and the toner cost $189.00?? = $200.00 with tax. $200.00/500 = 40 cents per page ?????
@@stephenfiore9960 Your math is all wrong. She said 30 prints a week for 1.5 years. 1.5 years = 78 weeks x 30 prints per week = 2340 prints. The high yield HP 206X cartridges are $100 per cartridge so if you had to replace all 4, that's $400/2340 prints = $0.17 cents per page
@@1swttl thanks. Your number makes more sense. 17 cents Still seems higher than what I would like to pay
@@stephenfiore9960 it's 35 cents per color page....so 17 cents is half price...not bad as long as the printer doesn't break.
Just don't buy an Epson printer like this one "Epson EcoTank ET-2711 AIO" because there is a lot of software and hardware issue to deal with. Epson printer is very slow. HP of what I have seen has a lot of advantages as rather to disadvantages as she says and other reviewers. Based on my research on the internet (video reviews), this hp printer will beat every expectation I hope!;)
It can print double-sided but it can't scan double-sided. That means you can't reproduce from double-sided originals, whether they are to be scanned or copied.
This is not a good choice for a duplex printing device. You need a duplex document feeder to compliment it. When you buy a multifunction device like this, please make sure the document feeder can handle double-sided originals as well as a duplex printing capability.
@WoW Mouse Bug Report You sound like a typical salesperson who doesn't have a product which I want, and trying to sell me what you have.
Do you know what is the purpose of a duplex document feeder complimenting a duplex printer? It is for the purpose of bypassing and doing away a second device, without the need of scanning to another client like a computer, not even to mention a publishing software. Why do I want to do an extra step with an extra device if I can have the double-sided originals printed into double-sided copies there and then? Come on! This is totally unnecessary. Don't sell me something which I want but you don't have. Just admit it. The same goes to direct scan to USB function. I can scan documents directly to a USB thumb drive by plugging it into the printer. Are you going to tell me to scan the documents to a computer, then save them into the thumb drive?
I have and am using a multifunction printer which has all these capabilities, so don't try to introduce a longer route to get a simple thing done.
@@jamess8175 What MFP are you using and what laser printer can you recommend that has duplex color printing but also functions as an all-in-one at a reasonable/not "break the bank" price?
@@sonickchri I am using Brother MFC-L8690CDW. But you may opt for MFC-L3770CDW as it's a lower end one, slightly slower speed, yet retains the exact same capability. Of course it doesn't break your bank balance. Go get it. But I understand that stocks are frequently unavailable. Just grab it if you get your hands on one.
@@jamess8175 how is the 8690 going ? Seems better value than the hp ?
@David Ashley Definitely! I am still using this model. Better value for money as it comes fully equipped.
Can this printer support automatic two side scanning ?
No
@@Diynobs HP says it can. the "d" in fdw stands for duplex.
@@Banquo33708 you can print double side but not scan. I have one, you can also see that on Best Buy website under specifications
Starink toner cartridges-Start Different.
TAKE MY MONEY!!!!
…HP would love to, and they do. Are you ready to mortgage your house? Some HP printers cost more than my mobile home
How does remote printing (AirPrint) work when the printer is in sleep mode?
my printer goes into sleep mode after being left alone and when i print something remotely it automatically wakes up and prints- hope that helps!

@@KGSimpleReviews thanks so much. Looking to get this for my iMac this week.
Avoid carpet rash just buy a cable and forget wi fi. Great review btw.
the google print has arabic , are you in one of the GCC countries
Is this available in Pakistan
how many full-color prints can you get out of this before you have to get new toner?
average of 550
Can I use Amazon brand replacement toners??? Will it damage the printer?
it will for shure damage your printer-
i have! this case right now
80 pages perfect quality,
then error in display,
after 3 test-pages in full-green!
i opened the printer-
all inside full of green and colored powder!
these replacement toners ruined my Pro MFP M479fdw
the hundreds positive rezensions are Bots for shure.
The what?? Rezensions??
does this do duplex scanning?
from what I've read, no. only duplex printing.
the scan function is fucking unreliable. unstable software you have to reinstall every two weeks.
Choose color laser printer is wise choice ! I just throwed an inkjet printer !
how and where to install cartridges ?
This is a laser printer, so it only needs toner- not ink! hope that helps!
Appreciate the review but you haven't really mentioned any of the features, it's more of an unboxing video.
Yes but where are the instructions for finding your way around the bloody thing
We bought one and no color. No what we do no color. Taking it back.
This thing is terrible at wireless connectivity
I love the HP laserjets, especially the color ones like this. BUT, paying $189 for a supposed "1,500 pages of ink" cartridge is RIDICULOUS!!!! And you normally get 1/4 to 1/2 the number of actual printed pages out of the "rated" # of pages. I'm sooooooo tired of being RIPPED OFF by HP for cartridges. My MF477 is going in the garbage today, it's 4 years old, printed about 200 pages a month, and is now broken. Not buying another one until HP gets real with ink supplies and stops ripping us off.
…Thank you. Just like car tires, only get about 1/2 the mileage rating
@@stephenfiore9960 Actually, decent brand name car tires nowadays get better than rated mileage. In the old days you were right, an if you buy cheap tire that still hods, but good brand name tires now do better than rated most of the time. BF’s on my truck have 65k, they were rated for 50k, and I have 10k minimum left. Perrelli’s on my x5 bmw have 38k on them, they were rated for 30k, and they don’t even show any where at all really.
As for HP printers and the absolute BS RIPOFF and waste of plastic materials…for their 1/4 full laster toner cartridges, there should be a class action lawsuit over it! I’m shocked it hasn’t occurred already. I’m by no means a tree hugger, but the environmental issues these this cause is a disgrace really. No excuse for HP which used to be a good company. Sad really. Whn I walked in Staples to replace my HP laser, the guy/kid said immediately the Brother machines are much better. Almost 1/2 the price for toner, they are rated and last almost twice as long, and people say they are easier (better software) to use. I am, or should now say WAS an exclusive HP “house”, servers, laptops, monitors, printer. Not anymore!
HP makes money off of ink, not it’s printers. Shop local for ink and save $$$ they reuse the HP chip and remember to not do firmware updates.
@@casheighty8 I have NEVER purchased a cartridge from HP directly, they charge 20 to 40% more than their dealers charge for the same cartridges. But even still, their cartridges are an absolute RIPP-Off, period. Using the 3rd party cartridges, refills… are much cheaper, but unfortunately they have ruined printers more than once, and also last about 25% of their page rating most of the time. So they end up being no bargain either. Lets face it, HP and the other brands, are ALL ripping us off. It’s freud really, not just an over priced product, it is FREUD. They are knowingly lying and mis-representing their product. I’m shocked there has not been a class action lawsuit on it already.
the printer are well priced, but the ink? that's a scam
…guy earlier said $189.00 for less than 1,500 copies. $200.00 with tax. $200.00/1500 = 13 cents per page. He says you often get only 1/4 to 1/2 of 1500 count
Why is such a complicated name cod, printers are soooo complicated
Ditch the distracting music
LIke all manufacturers, HP has lost their mind and buying toner costs as much as buying a new printer. Do you use 3rd party toner?
No, I bought the HP Toner it calls for and it was pricey- BUT for reference- i use this printer for about 30 sheets printed a week and I JUST replaced the toner for the first time last month. It lasted 2 years! Hope that helps a little!
If you hurry, you buy get my hp color laserjet pro mfp m281fdw before I throw it in the trash.
HP sells its printer cheaply, by using DRM & its monopoly power to control the toner market.
HP toners are twice as expensive as "competitors", & more expensive than the printer itself
However, you can also double your costs by paying for customer service, although I cannot say that even that works. HP once made the greatest printers. Now, they are good for 1 ream of paper. Also, don't upgrade the firmware! Your printer will remain a security risk, but you may not be able to downgrade to working firmware.
I don't recommend this, I've had one for some years now and it has always been a hassle, mostly derived from trying to use it wirelessly. I end up reinstalling the drivers and software and it works for some time but then it stops, that was on windows 7. Now in windows 10, you need to use HP Easy Start or HP Smart or the software of the printer, but none of them work correctly even though it is connected through usb because the software only works through wifi. AVOID IT, not worth the money and the headaches it will produce you
Isn't a ease just to use the provided USB cord??? Hp isn't the best printer manufacturer and don't start speaking of Canon.
@@Angel-mp6xu the printer is not consistent, it may work fine for a while through wifi or usb but it will eventually start failing.
