    Kind of ironic that the punisher wanted to stand against the police during the George Floyd thing since every police officer and military service member has a punisher patch😂

    • @jlcrimm1
      @jlcrimm1 Рік тому

      No, what's ironic is that cops and the military adopted the punisher symbol when The Punisher, Frank Castle, was adamantly anti-cop and anti-military. The creator of The Punisher was quoted as saying, "The vigilante anti-hero is fundamentally a critique of the justice system, an example of social failure, so when cops put Punisher skulls on their cars or members of the military wear Punisher skull patches, they’re basically [siding] with an enemy of the system. They are embracing an outlaw mentality. Whether you think the Punisher is justified or not, whether you admire his code of ethics, he is an outlaw. He is a criminal. Police should not be embracing a criminal as their symbol.”

    When two sides hold each other in contempt there is no longer any chance for discourse. We need to find a way to respect the position of others ... we don't have to agree, just not think them less than.

    • @Nightbringer2000

      Kind of difficult when one side is literally calling the other side a secret cabal of devil worshipping pedophiles who want to take your rights away and take over the world and that same side refuses to even do simple things, like wear a mask during a pandemic, something that would protect themselves, their loved ones and their community. No person and no point on the political spectrum is perfect or ever will be, we all have flaws and weaknesses, but this whole "both sides are the same" sentiment doesn't hold water.

    The reforms introduced by Sir Robert Peel and the first Police Commissioners were based on a philosophy that the power of the police comes from the common consent of the public, as opposed to the power of the state.
    The nine principles that underpin this philosophy were set out in the ‘General Instructions’ issued to every new police officer from 1829 onwards. The principles are still valid today and have shaped the approach that HMIC takes when assessing how well police forces are working for the public.
    These principles are:
    The basic mission for which the police exist is to prevent crime and disorder
    The ability of the police to perform their duties is dependent upon public approval of police actions
    Police must secure the willing co-operation of the public in voluntary observance of the law to be able to secure and maintain the respect of the public
    The degree of co-operation of the public that can be secured diminishes proportionately to the necessity of the use of physical force
    Police seek and preserve public favour not by pandering to public opinion but by constantly demonstrating absolute impartial service to the law
    Police use physical force to the extent necessary to secure observance of the law or to restore order only when the exercise of persuasion, advice and warning is found to be insufficient
    Police, at all times, should maintain a relationship with the public that gives reality to the historic tradition that the police are the public and the public are the police; the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence
    Police should always direct their action strictly towards their functions and never appear to usurp the powers of the judiciary
    The test of police efficiency is the absence of crime and disorder not the visible evidence of police action in dealing with it

    I was just thinking what a Walkashame it must’ve been for my neurologist who was trying to treat my migraines that were just caused by improperly administered mental health medication. He was prescribing me like thousands of dollars worth of migraine medication’s a month that none of it helped or even should have been necessary. The healthcare field of Arizona must’ve felt like half his patients were going to murder the hospital if they didn’t legalize weed like immediately. Lol This is kind of random but I remember the migraine doctor the last time I met with him and I told him I found medical marijuana solves all my problems, so now he’s a worthless piece of ship. And he randomly mumbled the words gunpowder under his breath I didn’t think to ask him why he said gunpowder but that’s just what he said for no reason kind of like how I had to visit with him for no reason until they legalized weed.
