, actually, the dark saber is not for the ruler of mandalore... listen to words of Darth Maul when he takes the dark saber in possession.. it's for the rightful ruler of deathwatch.. says it him self.. also the dark saber was handed over by her to Gideon to save her people right there once they get it back, it goes back to her.. if you're going by these other rules ...Darth Sidious beat Darth Maul, then, when he got back into power after he was rescued, he was handed the dark saber... so what about that? The only theory that makes sense is this one.. she gave the saber up to save her people, when the saber gets back in her peoples possession, it goes back to her , just like Darth Maul, got it back when he was rescued after Sidious beat him...people seem to forget things when it's involving a female character... even the show didn't have to go that way. It's pretty simple. Also, the dark saber shouldn't be so easily destroyed because the hilt is made out of beskar.. I'm sure they're going to repurpose it because the crystal can't be destroyed. There's no explosion..

I guess you forgot to mention that Sabine willingly gave the Darksaber to Bo, even though it was "against the culture".
