I've been hitchhiking around the US for almost 10 years. Needless to say I don't have a computer or laptop so I cannot play OpenRCT2. However, I love watching your videos as well as some other content creators. The Himalaya (Him-uh-lay-uh) was my mother's favorite flat ride. So cool to see this! Just wish OpenRCT2 worked on Android. Thanks so much D!
I love when the supporters on patreon are hanging from the supports. Literally supported by the supports! Great tutorial as well. One of these days I'll start making OpenRCT2 parks, but today is not that day.
The one at Waldameer is so fun but it has a chronic issue of guests not listening to the pre-cycle announcement (Namely the "Only hold on to the bar in the front not the side or back bar" but there were a few issues with phones)
How do people find out stuff like this works, chopped in pieces its logical, but from scratch... wow, like ow we put this here, this on top, this setting, this high, this low tada shoestring.. so impressive
Honestly, the bigger layout is better, more pleasant on the aesthetics. Also, after learning shoestring, I always look at some real World rides and go thinking: how would i recreate this on openRCT2? 😂
Can you show how to make a "waltzer" ride, its kind of similar to this, but much more compact and has spinning wild mouse type cars. Also have you ever seen a Jetstar rollercoaster by Schwarzkopf?
If the ride is made more compact it will be difficult to have any undulation in the track. Your best bet is probably to just make the same ride layout but use spinning wild mouse or virginia reel vehicles. Or you could just make a compact flat circular track and put the vehicles on there. The control track could be the same as in this tutorial.
To make the effect of the brakes stronger. If you have just 1 the vehicle will make a very abrupt stop at the points where it reverses and at the station
You over complicated the ride a bit- the shoestring becomes much simpler if you make the underground station and access part of the vehicle ride- look at the shoestring rides i made in my ork park because i made each one with like 1-2 ride slots each
You can definitely make everything 1 ride, but this setup allows me to change the control track while the ride is running (which I used to add the brakes that I forgot without having to respawn the vehicles) Another good thing about having 3 rides is that it is easy to make the tracks you don't want the viewer to see invisible.

Ugh, my sides are hurting from just watching this tutorial. 😆I've definitely passed the point of really enjoying these things. Great video again!
Been making these for a while, now, but a nice tutorial always hits the spot! Very clean!
oh, i see powered rides in both directions are done quite simple and elegant, nice trick, thx dude :)
Love a good Himalaria! 19:31
These are such a fun ride, as the heavier passenger you get to crush the other one.
Always sit on the inside lol!
The latest tutorials have slowly started to inspire me to attempt a build over a longer period of time :)
That's nice to hear! Maybe you should join one of our Park Creation Contests, those take 6 months!
Loved these when I was a kid
Thank you for this series, I am currently working on a park and these are helping so much.
You're welcome! It's always nice to see parks with a large variety of rides!
Love those Himalaya rides

Spoiler: the roof will be mostly square
Why did you do 2 vehicles on the control track instead of 1 exactly? I feel like im missing something here

@@Deurklink I had the exact same question. Glad I read the comments before asking again 🤪🙃
