Securing your home is great. Just be sure that everyone, regardless of age/physical ability can escape easily in the event of a fire, gas leak, ect. ✌🏾

Yep, there's a reason for building codes on the correct way to install window bars for example.

Thx Randy. Excellent video. I can actually say that I had a younger man follow me in a grocery store. I paid attention to what he was wearing and had a good description. I was carrying a grocery bag. I heard a commotion ahead from another gal, so I went between cars to get to my truck. Sure enough, that younger man ducked down and passed in front of my truck. I saw feet, the time/distance didn't allow me to get to my driver's door, I did get to my driver's passenger, tossed my stuff and had access to three different freedom dispensers. Needless to say, they quickly left the area. I did get car tags, and notified PD.

I think those little dogs that bark at absolutely everything make it worse cause I've seen it with many people with dogs like that, they learn to tune them out, but yet feel comfortable being in condition white cause they have their dog to warn them, even though they tune them out. Dogs that bark when something or someone is not normal are a true asset.

Yep. I did protection training , w/my Giant Schnauzer and also wore the suit for 12 years before an auto accident stealing my passion from me by wrecking my back.
Anyway, so many roll up newspapers or magazines to use as a fake " bad boy I'll hit you!" Thise dogs will cower at anyone even an intruder. Seen it during protection training and even told a handler "you rolling up something and acting like you'll hit him?!?" And they said Yes, embarrassingly that it. He wouldn't bite the second I raised my arm.. . Was very very hard to train out bc they did it to him from a pup. And they never did hit him , just the threat of it and it almost ruined their GSD.
I had a Giant Schnauzer as my PPD . Got him at 8weeks and when he was about 4 months, at 2am he was growling and I was like " stop, you ain't old enough to know whats what yet" and oh man , next day my truck doors were both open and all my change and CDs were gone. Holy smokes , I never questioned him again after that. He like all Schnauzers are extremely vocal at play but , not when it's just time to chill . He was awesome to watch, he'd hear a noise go investigate and come back if it was nothing. Gosh I miss that dog .

Randy giving the low down on the ultimate SA guide.
    Great tips Randy!
These are things I taught both of my daughters. Women should really pay attention to their surrounding as they are generally the preferred victims of random crimes.
Both my daughters have very high SA!

Happens to me all the time and so far nobody has ever gotten the drop on me yet because I was ready and saw it coming. Some people have that gut instinct and others clearly don't. If anything people accuse me of being overly paranoid but it hasn't steered me wrong yet. I expect the worst and hope for the best in every situation in life. This is so that I'm not caught by surprise or off guard. Most people are way too self absorbed and clueless to have that trait. "Like OMG that person could have a gun!" Well duh...automatically assume he already does you ditz!

Whenever I walk into a gas station or a convenience store the first thing I look at is the faces of the people behind the register. I kind of want to see if they're in some kind of distress or if they're looking at someone weird.

Buy 8 mil window film. It doesn’t make your windows impenetrable, but it should give you ample time to evacuate, or mount a defense.

Ring cameras are not enough you need infrared cameras which most are positioned all around the house also in trees and have one if you can at street level so you can catch the license plate I have seen many videos of people trying to break into cars in the driveway put the ring camera cannot identify who it is if you have a camera on the street you might get the plate number it might be stolen but still you have a chance of catching the actual perpetrators and identifying them. Invest in a ultra bright handheld spotlight and for $150 you can get yourself a night vision scope

My brother got his 120K brand new Denali Diesel stolen by someone copying his key fob code and unlocking and starting his truck. They recovered it 10 days later untouched luckily. He lost 2 Glocks but ended up with 3K worth of Dewalt tools so it was a wash.

Another thing to add to the leaving or approaching your vehicle if you see a lot of people nearby or they all seem to make eye contact either drive away or go back into the shop until it looks safe. I've had a few run ins over the years especially during our COVID lockdown where we had druggies and drunks trying to bum stuff off people and if someone said no they wouldn't take it too well at all.

As a note, cars with push start are always looking for the signal. While your key is always producing a signal lookong fir eachother. So no matter what, you can not get around someone getting that unlock/start up signal if you have a push button start equiped car.

If you have an alarm sensor on your window you just want a simple lock. If you fix that window so it will not move then you have defeated your alarm sensor. And if they pry it open it will do less damage than breaking out the glass.

I posted a comment about pushing shopping carts (whether you need one or not) on the way in and out of the store as field-expedient blocking and ramming devices vs attackers, and also not shopping in places where the stores/malls want their customers less equipped to defend themselves. It was deleted! Was it deleted because of the first thing or the 2nd thing?

Don’t shop for milk! You should know what milk you plan on getting and if it’s in stock before you go! Get in get out maximum 42 1/2 seconds or LESS! Get your head on swivel already!

Randy Rawhide Wurst is an American hero. He should be in every history book in Americas schools. To give you an idea of one of his countless accomplishments, he wrote the survival manual for all of special operations command. He was first made famous in the book, Masters of Chaos. He’s an excellent teacher and you should totally look into training with him.
