Hi, thank you. The only tabs I have for sale are my Paganini book. I thought of selling Malmsteen tabs but that’s a pretty murky area with copyright so I decided not to. I’m currently writing a neoclassical chop book and video lessons that I’ll put out in a few months or so 👌
Wow!!!!!! How do you play like that!!! Been playing for 37 years … can’t play like that!!! Talent discipline. Practice !!!! Awesome job w feeling!!! David
Good choice on one to follow and learn his songs! A favorite just because he is an amazing player but also different than just another shredder. Keep making videos and I’ll keep watching 😎
Yngwie Malmsteen i hope your watching and listening to this amazing guitarist that did that cover of your song!! well done Steve absolutely amazing what you did keep it up legendary man 🤘🤘
If you check out my arrangements of Paganini you’ll hear some more of my own style. I’m working on an EP at the moment of my own material. I have my own style of playing, but I am a huge Yngwie fan and enjoy playing his stuff 👌
A lot of folks can shred and sweep and try to copy Yngwie. But what make you different from them is that your Vibrato and bends are pitch fucking perfect. Shredding a 100 notes is easier than hittin that beautful Vibrato or a Bend
Great guitar playing man! Oh yeah! My fav solos from the maestro: Marching Out, Demon Driver My fav albums: Trilogy, Odyssey, Inspiration, Attack!! Cheers
Really well played Steve. Did you swap out the whole pickguard on the Charvel to have the single coils? I had a green one that I was going to do it to but ended up selling it instead.
Thanks John. Yes, I swapped out the whole pickguard. There is a company on eBay in the uk that make custom make any pickguard. But I guess you could use a strat one and cut a bit out for the floyd
Amazing! Can i ask you at 1:26 on that run do you economy pick to get from the b string to the e string before going back down? Im trying it but its confusing if i should use alternate or work on economy! Thanks!
I actually scalloped my white USA strat this weekend! I did it myself which was scary, I just playing it now for the first time. I might buy some cheap necks to practice some more on, and may well scallop this Charvel. I’m scared though because it’s an incredible guitar 😅
Dude - I couldn't figure it out, why it looks (literally) like ur playing in slow mo, but it must be economy of motion. You came up in my feed first time today with another vid, a tune I didn't know and, it looked SLOW, like slow shredding. Lol. Then I saw Black star, which I , and everyone knows note-for-note and jumped to watch. You STILL look like (a lot of the time) you're playing 1/2 speed. It's kind of freaking me out. Well done. You killed killed this, but it looks SO effortless its kinda weird :)
Thanks a lot. I like the idea that it looks really effortless. I’ve worked on that tbh, I don’t like watching players who really flap their picking hands about. So you’re correct, it is economy of motion 🤘
You play/shred malmsteen well dude ive got to practice my scandi malmsteen style can play Europe norum/Kee Marcello pentatonics reasonably well but struggle with this stuff but you do it really well
crazy how much easier these songs are when you play em correctly, not easy but much more "ergonomic". I notice you like to keep everything on the same string as much as possible, same as yngwie. it'd be funny to watch you take a stab at playing this with some of the fingerings I see online, I bet you'd still pull it off!
Ha ha, the old transcriptions are a work of fiction 😂 I worked out a long time ago that he was economy picking because there’s no way the patterns and fingerings would work down up. And even on vhs you could see the way he picked do effortlessly was never alternate picking. Just watch John Petrucci or Steve Morse, so much more movement. It’s a shame I never realised there would be a big movement into working out his technique because I could have beat the competition to it with more foresight 😫😂
I remember when I bought this record🙂I still have it.Very well played flawlessly.Greetings from Sweden
Thanks very much. I think Rising Force is the guitar bible.
Greetings from London 🎸🎸
@@MaestroStevieJ86 Rising Force is one of my all time favorite albums. I've listened to it countless times, and I think you're playing it perfectly!
You hit that note for note with your own style… so awesome man keep the Yngwie comin!!!
Cheers man, will do 🤘
This is The best cover ..beautiful playing! Great tone and picking...awesome..
Thanks you so much 🙏🙏🤘
didnt know bilbo baggins could shred so good!!
🎸🎸
A shredder is never early or late but shreds when he wants to.
Hi, love your channel, do you have transcriptions of Malmsteens stuff that are for sale?
Hi, thank you. The only tabs I have for sale are my Paganini book. I thought of selling Malmsteen tabs but that’s a pretty murky area with copyright so I decided not to.
I’m currently writing a neoclassical chop book and video lessons that I’ll put out in a few months or so 👌
This was my first song that I became aware of Yngwie. Incredible job!
Thanks so much, the same for me 🤘
Another fantastic job. You really have captured Yngwie's tone.
Thanks so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it 🎸🎸
That's what I was thinking myself!!! Nearly identical!!
Well done!! Back in the day when YJM really composed and played music!!! Love this old ass YJM stuff!!
Amazing skills!!! I could watch you riff all day long my dude bravo!!!!
Thanks very much!!
Unreal playing. One of my favorite songs
Thanks mate 🤘
WTF😱😱🏆🏆👏👏after 40 Years this is the first and ONLY time i heard someone that plays like him🤘🤘😍😍
Thanks so much my friend 🤘🤘🎸
You need to check out Cesario Filho.
This is a massive undertaking to learn this.❤❤
Thanks buddy 🤘
Master class 👍🙌🙌🙌
When I was a kid I bought a yngwie tab book. Chap told me to come back when I could play it. Haven’t returned yet!
Most of those old tab books were pretty bad. I'd say I didn't really understand Yngwie's techniques until Troy Grady started unlocking it for me.
That's clean man, well done
Flawless!
Thanks so much 🤘🤘
Damn impressive, you got this down nearly as precisely as the master himself on the record
Stevie lad, it’d be an utter shame if the scintillating gift you possess doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. 🎸🔥😎❤️
Thanks Robert. 🙏🙏
Hopefully 👌
Epic sir

Yes, I use economy picking for that kind of run.
For the most part I economy pick with a bit of alternate picking thrown in
I used alternate picking for nearly two decades, but in the last few years I’ve really embraced economy picking
Superbly played! and also love what you've done to your Charvel, I'm guessing Seymour YJM's loaded pickguard or maybe HS3's ?
Thank you, and they are Bare Knuckle pickups 👌
Is it the trilogy suite?
@@mohamedazharzailan3912 no, Irish Tours. I’ve not tried the trilogy suites, I think they are almost identical to Irish tours but a bit more output
thanks for the info!!@@MaestroStevieJ86

Do you prefer fender necks or charvel necks? Great playing!
Charvel for sure, they are perfect. Fender necks are too skinny at the nut for my likening.
Any reason why you played the lower harmony on the main theme?
You play/shred malmsteen well dude ive got to practice my scandi malmsteen style can play Europe norum/Kee Marcello pentatonics reasonably well but struggle with this stuff but you do it really well
Good cover, mate. Kinda original and more tasty!
Thanks a lot 🙏
What model charvel is that?
So cal 1. I binned the humbuckers though and wired it like a strat 👌
incroidible !
🙏🙏🤘
pls post more yngwei stuff
I’m planning on covering all the Alcatrazz solos and the first three Rising Force albums 👍🤘
Awesome. Are you sure your not the guy in Spinal Tap? Ha
Are you in touch with Yngwie? Surely he would approve.
I don’t think he does approve of others playing his music unfortunately 😕 but I do because he is one of my hero’s and I love his music
