I first became aware of Jason around 2003 when i was 17 and he has been a hero of mine since. But since learning some of his music recently, it's hit home just how much of a genius he was and is. He was composing this music in his teens. It is so sad we didnt get to witness him acheive his full potential. I can help you take your playing to the next level with one on one Skype lessons. Charvel Showdown!! Which One Sounds Best? Highway Star Solo
Absolutely love this version of this. You played it the way you played it and not note for note of Jasons. I think that's cool as shit dude!!
Thanks man. I always try to get the spirt of a piece rather than play it note for note. Thanks for noticing 🤘
Waiting patiently... ♫ ♥🎸♪
The countdown is on 🕰️🍻
I hope you don't get sued by a lewd crude dude
@ Tic Tac... 🙄☺
@ 🤞🙏🤣
Awesome Charvel. What model is that?
Spectrum Model 8 - mentioned at the end!
Thanks, yes it’s a Spectrum. This one was made in 1990 ✌️
Hello! Are you Hungaryan?
Hello! My wife is Hungarian, I’m English ✌️
Well held man. That was a job of work.
Thanks man
The 2nd picture of Yngwie looks like hes holding a conductors stick in one hand and giving us the finger with the other. Subscribed.
That’s exactly what he’s doing 😆 Welcome aboard 🍻
@@MaestroStevieJ86 oh shit you're right. I thought it was the headstock 😂
All the Malmsteen haters can suck eggs they don't know how good he was in his prime
Good job, brother, good job.
I love your work, you have been a big help to me in my progression on guitar. I’ve been studying your book beyond the son and your interpretations of the 24 caprices, super cool getting to watch you play what’s in the book. I can’t wait to see what else you put out, very helpful lessons for an aspiring guitarist as myself! Thank you brother!
Thanks man! Glad to be of service 🤘🍻
On the semi-bend part ,It sound somewhat like Marty Friedman 🤔
😂 you cant sir..sorry!
What model charvel is this Steve, and how's the neck? I'm in the market for my first Strat to play these yngwie tunes more accurately, doesn't feel or sound quite right on a super strat, but I'm looking into alternative brands besides fender to hopefully get something that's a mix of traditional with modern, like a bit of a slimmer neck.
This one is a SoCal 1. But I put the singlecoils in. It’s HH standard. The neck is quite chunky but very comfortable. I was a strat player for 15 years or so but they never stay in tune and the radius is annoying. I guess I spent £200 for the new pickguard plus the pickups on top of the guitar. It was worth it.
@MaestroStevieJ86 ah I was wondering because I only saw HH charvel strats online, thanks for the info!
A ripper indeed like all your stuff, but I don't know how you're going to write material heavier than "Valour With Honor". My God, that song crushes. Edit : "Valour With Honour". Proper spelling for proper shredding!!
Thanks dude. Yeah, Valour turned out really heavy 🤘🤘
He's at it again!! Very cool piece, great attitude via the mean mid tempo feel you played it at. Also like how you just alternate pick all of it where so many would hybrid pick it. Thanks, and shred on ✌️🤘
Thanks my friend 🤘🍻
maravilhoso! toca demais, e o mais legal de assistir é seu carisma e boa energia, sem ter ego inflado, top!
Thanks dude 🙏🍻
A real ripper mate! I like the title too 🤘😎🤘!!
Thanks bro 🤘
Very cool. Love pedal tones.
Thanks Kevin 🍻
Steve, thanks for dropping your videos at UK meal time, perfect for me as I watch UA-cam while eating 🍽
My pleasure! Ha ha 🤘
Hi Steve, great neo Classical sea shanty LOL. Just watched Josh (JHS) do a vid on parallel pedal set up, wasn't something I'd considered but certainly a great idea. Fuzz with a "clean" delay or an combination. Alister:-)
I'll check it out! Never heard that term before 👌
I enjoy different approaches to effects, the "parallel" set up really excited me as my first proper (guitar) amps were a matching pair, both with spring reverbs. It was never about playing loud, it was about playing well and sounding as "pro" as possible. Maybe starting off with built in spring reverbs (in my amp cabs) influenced my own "sound". I love clean amps and reverb, surprisingly, even with great digital reverbs I miss the analog spring sound. Would love to get your opinion on Josh's video and which combination of parallel effects you think works best even if you wouldn't use that set up yourself
@CawKee I’ll check it out 👌
incredible technique!!! a hug from Brazil One question... what model of Charvel is this?
Thanks man. And it’s a Spectrum made between 89-91. This one is 1990 🤘
I freaking love Steve Jeffrey! But I HATE that I can't get his Yngwie tone with my little setup.😕
Time to get a JCM800 ✌️
Stevie, eres un dios 🔥
Thanks, you’re too kind 🍻
@MaestroStevieJ86 🍻🤟❤️🔥
Easy they're my two favourites. Along with Tony Iommi, they had the most influence on me by far. Hearing Sabbath blew my mind, hearing Randy blew my mind and hearing Yngwie sure did too. They were all the "EVH moment" for me. I heard Randy before Eddie and discovered him along with Malmsteen, so Eddie never blew my mind or had a lot of direct influence on me. Of course he influenced many that I do like.
Super sick
man!!!! that was cool!!!! great playing!!
Man that is some sick sick playing and some sick sick 80s hair man that s*** is tight. I haven't seen anybody nail the 80s look as good as you do since I grew up in the 80s. I mean you look just like some of the f****** guys that I knew in school. RLTW 3/75
Very well done - so good it made me cry, put a fork in me.
Thanks a lot ✌️
@ YJM, and others I'm sure are lauding.
Dod is legend in yjm live and album ,and all the other yjm pedal just a clone for marketing
It. Sounds. Exactly. Like. The. Solo. From. Blackstar
Truly my favorite. I learned it till the solo once.
I didn't know Tom Petty could shred
"Hey buddy, can I ask? Who's faster between Yngwie Malmsteen and Jason Becker? Maybe it's not that important, but I'm just curious." Your opinion😅
I think Becker was probably a bit quicker. But it’s about what you put into the notes. Not how fast you are. And both those guys put everything into their playing 🤘
Great picking snd vibrato technics!!
Best haircut on YT
Clean, refreshing and amazing.
Thanks a lot ✌️
Spinal Tap has gotten really good.
Simple but perfect 🙌 i like u vibrato 🎸
Thank you
great rig. Love your simplicity. Simple but effective down to the point.
Thanks man. I’ve always just liked a nice and resonate guitar, a good Marshall and a nice overdrive in front ✌️
Isn't it lovely to do the royalty free stuff and know that Paganini's ghost won't come after you?! Or will he......hahaha Ripping as always. These are even more articulate and expressive than some of the other Paganini clips I remember seeing of yours, although all are great. Very inspiring. Reminder I need single coils as well 😂
Exactly 😆 Thanks a lot. I definitely prefer single coils with high gain. It’s a bit more focused. Although I do love my bridge humbucker in the pink guitar when you roll off the treble on the amp ✌️
The Genius Master Paganini (the Devil's Violinist) created awesome masterpieces, and you, as our Great Maestro give to us (the mortals) the impressive gift of these incredible arrangements of those masterpieces… wow!, it is the madness indeed!, thank you Maestro!. ♫ ♥🎸♪ P.D.- Sorry if I have to ask, but, were you possessed by the Devil when you perfectly played this?, do you still have a soul?.
Thank you my friend! Luckily I’ve remained devil free and retained my soul 😎🍻
Excellent as usual !!!
Thank you sir
Bravo Steve!
Thank you 🙏
how do you not have 250K subs yet?
Thanks man, it’s been growing slowly but steadily 🙏
F*CK YES! I just found Ukraines new future anthem and the legend who is going to shred it at the next olympics!!!! LONG LIVE COMRADE, STEVE!!! 🫡
😆🤣
I'm surprised your channel hasn't blown up yet, playing is absolutely amazing! Very clean.
Thanks dude ✌️
excellence, as always. Bravo. Have you done - La Campanella?
Thanks dude, no, not yet at least, I’m up for the challenge though
yes dude !
Thanks bro 😎
Great news guys! The Oxford dictionary guys requested a copy of my receipt for this book to help them define hubris.
I’ve moved past hubris straight into the nemesis phase 🤩
@@MaestroStevieJ86hahaha brilliant!

Ha ha, the timeline is out of sync, these videos are from 2022 when I was at different stages of growing my hair back 😆 rocking the long hair until baldness hits 🍻
I've said it before but damn, your right hand string skipping is crazy smooth! And as always, the jean jacket is timelessly cool.
Thanks dude, denim jackets should always be worn. Even indoors 😆
