Lone Star is very cool! But there’s an entire backcountry geyser basin a ways further down that same trail, so it certainly isn’t “the most remote” geyser. And it’s a much smaller geyser than Old Faithful. As always in the backcountry, make sure you have bear spray when visiting Lone Star. There’s a company that rents bear spray in the park now, if you can’t bring your own.
What if it is a windy day like many days are in Wyoming?? What is that bear spray going to do for you?
@@thecuriousvida Watch a video on how bear spray works. If the wind is blowing hard enough to make bear spray unusable, both you and the bear have bigger problems!
@@MrOffTrail I've used it myself that's why I wrote my comment. I would carry a capable firearm around bears not depend on a spray ✌
@@thecuriousvida You cannot take a firearm into Yellowstone National Park. I suggest getting a training canister (no capsaicin) and using it to learn how to properly deploy bear spray before you get to the park. I think they may have classes at the bear spray rental points as well.
@@MrOffTrail Sorry you're wrong I do it all the time. Be safe out there rookie ✌Try not to spread misinformation so ppl can protect themselves ok. No offense ok.
It is amazing how you can find those just wandering around.
Amazing Yellowstone 😊
Having been to Yellowstone a few times and watching Old Faithful numerous times, I've seen where it seems to have good days and bad days as far as the strength of it's eruptions go
Dynamics (aka thermal plumbing) changed back in the 1990's, when the Church Universal and Triumphant built their underground bunker north of Corwin Springs, MT.
@@eandsm4620 Uhh, I mean, it did in the 1960's and 70's, but not because a building. There were large earthquakes 1959 and 1975, which caused old faithful to change it's frequency and power.
Imperial geyser is really cool too!
Like the Yellowstone show intro music in the background freaking love that show lol
That's a cool one! TY for posting...and great choice of music, too!
I love the theme song for Yellowstone being played as background for a geyser at Yellowstone!
Going to Yellowstone on the 28th of April with my family, we’re gonna be there for a week and a half :)
My birthday the 28th. That is great for you to do that 💯
mapping out options for a summer visit.
How was it & any suggestions?
The geyser looks cute
Little giant looks farther out! Now I have a new mission! Thank you!
Is that Lone Star geyser? It is incredible.
I thank god for videos like these
Awesome video and badass background music 💯🫡🙏❣️
the way she says yay, like go little geyser, go.....love it
Cool, we were in Yellowstone a few weeks ago
Dixie ! Thank you for sharing this. What a mystical magical planet we all share !
Earth letting off steam.
@kim sims…and the “surface/crust” dwellers (all of us) are better off/blessed as a result of these natural “burps” and “farts” from the “bowels of our earth” to have a planet on which to live…I’ll take that every time 👍😊👍😊👍😊
There's something you don't see everyday.
I watched that Old Faithful from inside the lodge. I was impressed with those big, old lodges. There was a neat one by Storm King & Lake Crecent in Washington Olympic Penn. I just went bus to bus to trail there from SEATAC Airport or train from Bellingham. Good hiking. Happy Trails.
I want to do that winter Yellowstone & fall Teton.
Fountain geyser was my fav
That's a pretty good one. Love how dynamic it is with how all the smaller geysers around it react to it.
Good job catching it. Last time i was there we only got a minor eruption
Question: is this wheelchair accessible?
Yellowstone is capital of tourons
Indeed!
Riverside is my favorite guyser in the Yellowstone area from my three seasons working in the park
I've never worked in the park, but my favorite is riversides next door neighbor, fan and mortar geyser
Grand geyser is one of the better ones I’ve seen as well!
It's the best one in the park. I like Castle a lot too.
Yeah of the predictable ones, grand is one of the better ones. It's also super dynamic and has a lot of unique aspects to it. Such as how bursts work with it.
Where is that ?
Not better, just smaller and different. If ya leave the main trails there r some areas that r amazing for geysers and pools.
It’s amazing that we can see how God’s Creation keeps on releasing her built up stresses from underground to keep that particular area safe…showing that the unseen planet below us is still in a state of continuous molten flux after the many eons since Creation (JUST THINK ABOUT WHAT WE DON’T SEE! 🤔😳🤔😳🤔😳)…thank you for your videos 👍🫶🏻👍🫶🏻🙏🫶🏻…you rock!!!
Not trying to start a fight but I do think Mother Nature had more to do with it than God! But you go ahead and believe whatever you want!!
@@hewjbacca and that I will continue to do my friend 😊😊😊
@@hewjbacca if you’re not trying to stir the shit pot, then why even mention it????
damn thats some good stamina
Theres some geysers that can erupt for a crazy amount of time. Grotto geyser for example can erupt for almost 50 hours straight. Also, the worlds tallest geyser, steamboat geyser. Has a steam phase that last for around one day.
It’s hidden?
Cool!
I divvy know but, it looks way more active than it was
How back country is this?
About two and a half miles from the trailhead.
rd2?
What is the name of the geyser? Bet it's awesome in the winter.
It's labeled at about a 1/4 the way through the video
Squirrels 🐿️ are going crazy 😂
Kingdom come
Sorry boss but old faithful is the legend. Lone star is cool though.
Grand Geyser is much more grand if you are lucky enough to catch it.
Amazing Discovery, Long lost prehistoric Backwoods Bidet for dinosaurs, Lol...
Old faithful was underwhelming. Getting to witness a less consistent and lesser known geyser is the best.
My favorite place on Earth--Yellowstone National Park.
Sorry. Not into Disneyland. Lake area is THE BEST!!!
I've always told people that Lone Star Geyser is so much more exciting than Old Faithful! I'm a little freaked out how you seem to always pull thoughts out of my head.... Not just with this, but in all your videos. Sort of weird, unconventional opinions--then say exactly what I was thinking!
Waaw
not the remotest by far
It’s not better lol
SOON THAT ENTIRE PLACE WILL BE USA NEWEST GREAT LAKE OR BAY CONNECTION TO PACIFIC MILLIONS WILL PERISH GET FROM 500 miles IN ALL DIRECTIONS
Isn't God amazing
