Ben Schneider the back yard videos are still better. Super Slow Show wasn’t great for the most part then as soon as they went back to basics the quality shot up again.
They'll usually permit it if you have a reliable piloting history. Basically they just don't want somebody flying a drone for there 1st or 2nd time to get caught by the geyser and end up in a spot that would take lots of effort to recover it. If you apply for a permit and have been flying drone in a photographic sense for a while you'll probably get permission as long as you agree to let them use your photographs or video.

UA-cam needs more shows like this, just great UA-camrs making the same content they normally do, but with bigger budgets so they can take what they do to the next level.

I don't know if Father Ted was broadcast where you live but there was a very funny scene where Father Ted was trying to explain the difference to Father Dougal between something small and something far away. I think Gav should have listened to Father Ted.
I would HIGHLY recommend any and all of you to go to Iceland. It's such an incredible country. There's so much beauty, even when it whiteouts, like the guys when they were stood on the glacier it's still amazing.
Great video as always. Adding Beathoven's Concerto 5 2nd Movement to the waterfall scene was a great touch. It's one of my favorite pieces of music and the scene fit it nicely!
I'm really happy UA-cam is funding the Slow Mo Guys so they can't provide more great content, but to be honest, I love the feel of their low-budget videos even better. I probably should just get over my nostalgia.

It'll be something UA-cam told them to do so that there was a bit of added drama. They'll have checked out that it'll survive a bit of geyser beforehand. Never trust the first thing you see.
@@geollizzie2459 you are right maybe they acted like that because they were following a script, but there are even more chances that it couln't go that high because of its weight plus the weight of the arm loaded with a pretty epic/awesome/sublime camera. I don't think they would have taken the risk to make a script in wich they put the drone right on the geyser and risking to see it falling on someone. Don't always think things are obvious, don't underestimate the human error factor ;-)
We were in Iceland, waiting for the eruption. Litterally 8 seconds after my sister turned on her camera, one of the (so we were told) biggest eruption for that geyser came.
It's so cool how there's absolute outward pressure until the very moment the 'bubble' is breached, then all the surrounding water immediately starts dropping back. I mean, I know I've basically just described the exact thing everyone can quite easily see, but god it's awesome.
I love how this doesn't feel corporate at all... It's just SlowMo Guys with mo money to do cool stuff!
