I really don't think this game would have left the mark it did if it weren't for the music. You can sell even the most absurd moments with the right tune. Or cut right down to the soul.
It would still be a great game, and lots of people would have enjoyed it, but it wouldn't have hit the way it did. The music is what raised it from being a cute little hidden gem of an indie game to a sensation that took the internet by storm in 2015.
This feels bizzare, amazing, but in a wholly different manner to the original acoustic guitar version, almost feels like a metaphor for undertale as a concept - started from 1 and and a temmie... And now practically the world knows atleast one thing about the game
I was listening to this song on the day that I heard that my dog had to be put down, so in her honour, I now associate this song to her and I couldn't have any better reason to love listening to this and remembering her.

Spoilers (even if you sill Haven't play this game what are you doing here go play that masterclass of an game Those who have truly matured know that Genocide run is the worst run and the true pacifist run is the best one yes Genocide run has Battle Against an True Hero power of neo and Megalovania but except banger battle theme the rest of the run is as empty as Flowey soul what more important in that game is the friends you made along the way,the foes you have change,your hard yet peaceful journey and that the game made us understand that when you do an genocide run the music is creepy boring empty because you know this time you will be alone the only one who support you is the first fallen child you have corrupt even Asgore don't even see you as an human anymore you are nothing Frisk don't exist in this run you are just the puppet of the child you corrupt which is fair karma in Pacifist run you know you are not alone you are support by friends you have helped and not corrupt even the first fallen child help you and motivate you when you are in an bad spot in the end you even manage to bring back and make peace with the prince of monsters in the end you and your friends you have made are free no War just peace you are not alone you have your friends and that my friends is the true end of Undertale
This song, it's incredible, it really shows the impact undertale had on millions of lives, mine included, I've been with the fandom since day 1, and I am so glad to see how much it's grown, I'm genuinely proud of this game, and I'm glad it's getting the recognition it deserves, so thank you, Toby, thank you for everything
This song would make me cry if I didn't skip it because ASGORE's next baby! Also I'm not sure why horns went off for this song only. I mean, those french horns have their biggest song in the orchestra, but were they like, cleaning them?

This song really didn't need horns it seems, although I too would like to see a verson with the horns as long as they didn't overpower everyone else
