I love that the Jomez coverage keeps Missy's deep breathing in. I love to see her center herself before her shots. Cool look into the mental side of disc golf.
This was a fantastic 4 days of disc golf coverage. Thank you Jomez for filming this event, and a huge shout out to the 2HG for their great commentary! Honk!
@@SorenSalvia that course looks really tough, and I think coverage isn’t doing it justice. Although, it’s pretty obvious to me that wind would make it extremely difficult.
That was the hardest to watch round ever! Missy tried so hard to give it away and Evelina choked every opportunity. I hope she bounces back. Her putt has been looking so good but this was a huge step back. Painful to watch.
Awesome coverage and commentary, although I'm disappointed y'all couldn't find the crested cara cara call, the Cornell Lab site has it and it sounds a lot like The Predator from the movie series. The only time I played golf in Texas one landed right in front of me as I was pulling in to Selah Ranch (RIP) and... it was the highlight of being on that course.
Congratulations Missy! I'm so very happy for you. You deserve it! All of the ladies play was amazing. Thanks for the awesome coverage and commentary as well. The 2 hot geese are the best! Thanks for sharing.
Really liked Heidi’s game. A rough middle but she always looked confident and ready to play. Coming back at the end where the card was tense was a great showing. Great mental game and talent.
With Evalina's struggles, I'm wondering if she had a caddy to talk with her through some situations and keep her head wouldve been helpful instead of only having her own thoughts.
Her putt has improved vastly. Today she lacked that killer instinct. What I saw today however was super promising. She is going to win a lot of events this year.
@Christopher-Lenz for sure. I just meant in the hunt at Missy, the opportunities were there to close the gap and draw even. She finished second so yeah she wasn't struggling and agree she will be a force in the upcoming events
@@jasonkress2896I think it would have been 100% helped her. If she had a fella like Brad…. Well, I’d be disappointed my favorite FPO did not win possibly. Go Missy!
Congrats, Missy! Thanks Jomez and the Two Hot Geese! Tough round for the competitors but Missy did what she had to do and kept playing mistake free golf. Rough to see some of the unforced errors but it is what it is. I really liked the course.
well It was not in the way I was hoping it would play out but it was still kinda exiting in its own way. Congrats to the winner and big thanks to the casters and the craw at Jomez.
Great to see Missy get her first major. A tough day for a lot of the ladies. Good showing on lead card for Heidi and a fantastic final 1010 rated round for Chantel.
I would characterize lead card play today as..."Everything you can do i can do worser"...Missy, trying so hard to lose...Evelina, trying so hard not to win...Heidi and Holyn spiraling towards +par obscurity with each passing hole...so hard to watch.
Missy fucking rocks. Representing us up in NY and my favorite FPO player and I am so happy for her. Sunday played tough, but she was clearly the best player out there through the whole tournament. Congrats MISSY!!!!!
I really liked this course but given the scores it seems like there may be work to be done on the course to compliment the skills of the FPO field. At any rate, quality production Jomez and keep up the chase card check-jns. With the depth of the field seeing how close chase card is to lead card makes for a more exciting product.
I mostly watch FPO to see Kristin Tattar and Ohn Scoggins, but it is also great to see someone as cool as Missy Gannon hold on for the win. Great coverage of a great tournament.
Loving this trophy, if only Evelinas putts were on point this last round like the first three rounds would've made it a lot more exciting. What a fantastic win none the less for Missy, congrats on the first major win especially it being the USWomensDGC!🎉
There's no sport like disc golf! What a finishing day, a tough course with a lot of wind and a lot of stress. HMM and who had the hot round of the day? Would that be Miss Frisbee, Chantel Budinsky? I think so.
I have heard people complain about the Men playing too easy of courses and just turning into Birdie Fests. Man, is this the opposite. Overall pretty ugly.
Hot Geese, there’s not a necessity to sugar-coat commentary. Commentary can ~comment~ on anything - good and bad. When Evelina misses her third sub-25 foot birdie putt to close the gap COMMENTATE on the fact that she is missing must-make putts at a critical moment in the tournament. We get it: the wind is gusting, they are very serious, she’s missing high instead of low. As someone already said, for example you could comment on the fact that her hyzer-style push putt with a power grip, is not the ideal technique for putting in the wind. Not trying to be mean, but what makes BigSexy commentary great is that they comment on the player struggles and how they can improve, which informs the viewer of nuance. It adds depth to the viewing. Lordy.
Great baskets. Chains in 3 layers. Discs don't go through if you putt to the center and doesn't bounce out from a pole. Spits out bad putts to sides. Keeps some and spits out some like basket should do. Other option is to get spit out from the center and good putts need to be awarded. There will never be basket with chains that don't give spit outs at all. Just need to make a choice if there is higher spit out risk from the center from perfect putts or worse putts that hit the outer chains. My vote goes to spit out from outer chains and not from the center.
Why are we being shown Chase Card check-ins from people who are 8-10 strokes behind the leader? This was a rough round to watch with all of the bogeys and double bogeys from the lead card, why are we also being shown Chase Card bogies?
I believe they do it to show what the lead card sees if they're checking updates on their phone in real time. Some people want to see that as well, but yeah, I skip past chase card check ins on days like today.
The final score is very golf major-like. No ties, under par gives you a top-7, and the winner is 14 shots better than the tenth finisher after going over par in the final round. Either it's really tough, polished, and well thought out, or everyone's playing not that great...
It's definitely a very punishing course. A single mistake often adds 2 strokes to your score and it's sometimes risky to attempt to birdie some of these holes.
@@anoctaveabovetherest766 I prefer this type of golf over the more typical birdy-everything-nine-tied-for-fifth type of tournaments. With that said, the scoring here would not be so spread out if FPO was as mature as it will most probably be in the future. Now even the biggest stars are plagued by inconsistency and even occasional loopholes in fundamentals.
I can not understand why the women don't putt better. I get it if they can't drive as far cuz of less muscles, but putting is not muscles, at all. It's practice and repetition. Why can't women on these major tourneys putt worth a shit compared to the men?
I love the course but not for this tournament, too long to and too much downtime between plays to stay engaged as a viewer. Also, Evelina (bless your heart) she must sleep soo sound at night from all that mental stress she puts herself through round after round. I have always wanted to see her overcome this fear (thats what it is, is fear) and succeed like we all know she can, and even though she got a win at Chess, the ultimate blow to her confidence and the confidence of those who watch her have for her, in that moment was when she laid up the winning putt for a 100% C1X round. That said it all to me and left a world of doubt in her mind that she was, in that moment, able to bypass, but that door was never shut and the doubts were never quenched.
She didn't look stressed to me. She looked like she wanted to win really bad and was holding a high standard for herself. Would you prefer She laugh when she misses a birdie putt?
