Love this course. Makes a great finish every time. The Luna is the perfect disc on that playoff gotta keep it low so it don't glide to far. My 180g esp meteor has same exact flight but 50ft further. Both super glidey
Best assists is a GREAT question! Wish I knew. However: it's a safe bet that, if you were the all-time assists leader, you were also on a multi- record scoring team. But possibly a more important statistic is a player's career +/- (plus/minus) rating; it's calculated with 2 numbers: Goals scored for your team +/- goals against - when you were on the ice. The all-time Top-3 NHL +/- numbers belong to Defensemen. That's mostly because the D isn't sprinting as much as the forwards, but also because you always need defense whether you're on a penalty kill, a power play, or even strength. Number 4 on the list is Wayne Gretzky (a minor footnote in NHL history) So, because defensemen tend to be close to the blue line, they're often: a) passing "down low" (towards the end red line), or b) shooting on the net which can be redirected or deflected by a forward. The overall importance of the +/- is more obvious with champion teams, where the stats are more broadly shared. Keep doing what you're doing man!
Amazing!🎉🎉 Great post round interview, great sportsmanship, really looking forward to what FPO has to come in the future. Some of the most competitive DG there is, and so pure to the sport! Great win Sai🎉❤🎉
Some things I am missing from the announcers. How far was the putt ? How far was the drive? How far to the pin from the drive? How far is the hole before the T?
Find a top dollar sponsor to pay for truly good coverage and then you can stop paying the DGPT. Pick your favorite necessary evil bud, or piss off and comment somewhere else
@@jockofthebush Why top dollar sponsor though? DG communities have enough money to pull off great coverage without the need. I mean, Jomez Pro started with a handcam in a Pro Tour tourney DGPT decided not to cover. Now they have arguably the best coverage. I think the big issue is many who are playing or know about the sport do not understand the business side. Sponsors are great, but not having them is even greater and CAN be done. Everyone is scared to not make a little money the first few years to even try so they conform to old skool business models.
@@techsandwich4483 The reality is that post-produced coverage always looks and sounds better due to the time needed to properly edit and finish producing. Jomez would not look as good if it was broadcasted live, even with their filming capabilities, trust me. Live coverage is much much much harder and much more expensive to pull off well. The community would have to shell out some serious cash to help pay for it or we need help finding higher paying sponsors for DGPT. Or someone could get out there and film/produce it themselves with their NEP EN1 multi-truck setup complete with 150 router panels and 3300 sq ft of workspace, which is what you’ll actually need to produce a smooth and efficient 1080p-capable live broadcast.
@@jockofthebush That's what PPV would like for everyone to think is needed. But it has been a full year. As someone mentioned in the comments you would think better quality would be released with so much time to edit. Live coverage no one expects to 1080 quality. However there should be a secondary crew to film solely for the edited version like Jomez Pro does. Their quality on tourneys is phenomenal. Unmatched. Gatekeeper does a good job as well. Just curious why some are trying to become the Steve Jobs of Disc Golf with Sole proprietary ownership of tournament coverage. Someone got ahead of themselves.
@@techsandwich4483 You clearly have no understanding of how expensive it is to produce high quality live coverage and it’s like talking to a brick wall. Post-produced coverage is just that, post-produced. They have a half-day or full day to edit and master the video before it is posted, of course it will always look better. You need multi-million dollar broadcasting equipment to produce a live product like that. This video is just a re-air of the live broadcast. Simple as that.
I’m new to disk golf. I didn’t know you could jump when you putt like Hendell does at 2:20:05. Is that really legal to jump beyond the spot when putting? Seems that could really be abused if so.
as long as you're outside of the circle, start from behind your lie and release the disc before you touch the ground in front of your disc, it's legal.
Hi DGPT, We're launching a disc golf channel and would love to feature some of your clips in our videos. We'll edit the clips down to the most relevant parts, add subtitles, music, and make other edits to enhance the viewer experience. We'll give you credit in every clip and in the video description. Can we have your permission to use your content? Thanks! TheDiscGolfChannel
Video coverage is so low quality one announcer is like "great shot" and the other is like , "no he shanked it OB." Meanwhile I see nothing and have no idea where the disc went.
@@estebong that’s a shame. They just made USDGC seem unimportant. Especially with the talk of whether the course still challenges pros or is for for the modern game.
Hole 18: Has anyone considered the score may have been changed not on accident? It could have been a "oops" or it could have been an attempt to change McBeth's entire strategy on the final hole. I am curious who was in charge of updating the scores and why they haven't spoken more on this. At least clear the air because if McBeth went into hole 18 thinking he was ahead and lost it would have been the topic of conversation.
Not a chance McBeth didn't know the exact situation. He would have known full well what Kyle's finishing score was well before he stood up on the tee of 18.
@@jockofthebush I think he is saying DGPT was reporting this on the live scores as Kyle Klien being -24 on hole 18 when he was actually -26. They gave everyone extra strokes on hole 1 but ironically this did not happen until Kyles card finished the round and McBeth headed to hole 18. You can hear at 3:11:45 Ian and Philo confused on why hole one scores for Kyles card changed. At 3:12:45 Drew is showing Paul the scores and Paul seems a bit confused. McBeth is too focused to take a closer look and Drew looks like he is trying to figure out what happened on the scores. The chances they knew hole 1 was skewed is not likely considering the time they had to get to the next hole and keep their heads in the game. Score Keeper screwed up basically and I am with Tech Sandwich. Seems like it could be a McBeth hater or maybe just a honest mistake. Who knows. But I know people paid to watch this live and only got a percentage of their services rendered with no word of compensation so the truth with likely never prevail in either case.
@@adryandiaz All of that is pure conjecture. Paul and other players on lead plus chase card can easily know their scores. I’ve heard their caddies tell them the scores like they were a tennis judge after every point. McBeth isn’t checking DGPT coverage or the UDisc live, he would talk directly to the scorekeepers on each card if he really wanted to know and they would surely know. It’s not as deep as people would like to think.
@@jockofthebush You obviously have never played in a sanctioned event. Not how it works at all. The card keeps track of their own card, they are clueless to other scores other than live scoring. They do not have direct access to any score keeper other than the live scoring apps on their phones which apparently were wrong for a crucial small part of the tourney.
@@techsandwich4483 I’ve played in many sanctioned events and you obviously have never been to a pro tour or major event because every card at those events has a scorekeeper who will update UDisc Live, the PDGA Live Scoring, and relay info to the DGN. With such tight races I think it's time to get at least one camera guy on chase card to show us some action from the people battling from behind. I don't like watching only the lead card getting invested into only those players just to have someone else that I didn't even know was in contention win
I love Philo's coverage, he's funny with amazing insight into the game. I bet he is one of the chillest guys on the planet to throw 18 with
I'll never miss another USDG Sunday after being there for that. Pure Charlotte area wild competitive DG
So now I have to watch a bunch of ads for something I paid for and didn’t get to enjoy live but it looks crystal clear now? I feel scammed

4x0=0

Because money. Same reason it took nearly 9 months to put this coverage out. They wanted to dig their heels in and make us pay for inferior coverage

Because it happened in 2021
