Streamlight says NO 18650 battery's in this light. Also the 18650 will give you MORE output and runtime than CR123s not less (depending on MAH up double the runtime). If you use a 18650 with this light Streamlight told me it would void the warranty and potential damage the emitter. You may want to edit this video with the correct data before someone screws up their product.
CR123 are 3v nominal (3.2v when new) each, so two will be 6.4v. An 18650 will be 4.2v when fully charged so they will be less bright in non-buck circuit flashlights (such as this). The 18650 will have far more capacity than 2 CR123's therefore longer runtime. An 18650 will usually not fit in a CR123 light (CR123 is 16mm diameter, while 18650's are 18mm diameter). They also make 17670 lithium batteries (4.2v max, 17mm diameter) and 16650 (4.2v max, 16mm diameter) which have less capacity than 18650's but fit in 2xCR123 lights. Last but not least they make 16340 lithium batteries which are the same size as CR123 (4.2v max for 1, so 8.4v for 2!) These sometimes are too much voltage for lights designed for the max 6.4v of CR123 and have less capacity than CR123 (but are rechargeable).
Just mounted one on my 870, really like it. One complaint is that the battery cap is difficult to take off and put on. You can use a coin or something similar but the slightest slip causes damage to the edge of the slot. Overall really like it, if it proves to be durable it is the best thing out there.
I love it. I had one on an M2 tactical that I got from my friend. I had that shotgun for 7 years and never got to shoot it once (I bought it from him in NIB condition). I sadly sold it back to him because I thought it was just to pretty to fire. I won't make that mistake on my next shotgun. I think I want a 590 in that same configuration as you have.

I have one on my 590, after 100 or so mixed rounds, I noticed it's moving back and forth on the tube approximately 3/4 - 5/8". The ribs on the front and the sides on the rear where the action rods are, are getting chewed up. 😔

I've used a lot of Streamlight products over the years and everything but the mini lantern has served me well. I had a Surefire like this Streamlight on my patrol shotgun years ago when I was a police officer and it was handy but the Surefire made the frontend of the shotgun too heavy. Hopefully the Streamlight isn't as heavy as the old Surefire.
Looks like a great light. Little tip. Pull back on the pump so the moment your round is fired the pump will immediately slide back. This quick action will allow more rapid fire target acquisition.
I'll continue to look around to find out but thought I'd ask here. When this is racked fully to the rear does it cover any of the receiver? Reason being I have a nice side saddle on my 870 and if this grip will hit it when racked to the rear then I'd have to look at trimming it.

disagree. surefire costs what it costs because it is a traditional filament style bulb which they have shock proofed. LED is inferior to traditional filament style in shotguns due to the sheer volume and type of smoke produced by the plastic wads. filament-type bulbs do a far better job "piercing" smoke & fog than do LED lights. watch how the background dims almost entirely as the smoke soaks up most if not all of the light just ahead of the barrel when fired. Im not saying this is a bad solution, in fact I'm glad someone is coming out with cheaper pump shotgun lights. im just saying it is STILL inferior to the surefire and there is a reason why surefire uses filament shotgun lights in the age of LED's.

As of now, jan 2022, there are two models. The 850 lumen reviewed and 1000 lumen. Online Price im seeing is $100 for 850 lumen and $120 for 1000 lumen.
I can't find anything about that either. I dont think so though. The shockwave has a short forend tube. The racker is designed for the long forend tube. Theoretically you could use a hogue adapter BUT there may not be room between the front of the handguard and the lug for that to work.
