Jerod - I saw David and the Gaither Vocal Band in Sydney here in Australia in 2003 and David just brought the house down. He waa with Russ Taff (whom I adore) Guy Penrod and of course Bill Gaither. Magical show and it was at the Sydney Opera House which as you may know, Pavarotti said had the best acoustics of any venue in the world. David sang solo on a few songs but his version of 'These Are They' just had the crowd standing on their feet even before the song finished. The song is on youtube under Australian Homecoming.. A brilliant concert that I still think about to this day. I agree with you, he is exceptional and I also enjoy the songs he sings with his daughter Maggie Beth.

He completely knocks that song out of the ball park. He is so good that Bill Gaither said they will never do that song again without David. They also do it at a command performance at the White House ( also on You Tube). when George Bush Jr. was president.

Jarod M., I enjoy he & his daughter singing Agnus Dei. To me, (I'm NOT a singer) he does an amazing job controlling his voice to not overpower her. It's as if he's trying hard to help her be heard and to support her. If I could sing with my daughter, that's exactly what I'd want to do ~~ make her the star of the show! So, I liked him much more after that. Like you, he's my favorite tenor, overtaking Bocelli & Pavarotti, and others. O Holy Night is the song that did it. I've not ever been able to watch/listen to that performance without crying. I'm 6'6" and 270 lbs., but I'm not embarrassed to cry when I'm moved. I've not been through all your videos yet so I don't know if you've ever featured Larnelle Harris. He is excellent at conveying emotion with his voice (like Phelps). I didn't realize just how good he is until I watched him sing that Easter-themed song (blanking on name, sorry) with Sandy Patti. Wow! Both Harris and Phelps come across to me as sincere and from the heart. If either are just putting on a show, I would be amazed (in a sad way). They both seem very humble men.
