When RBI is unable to control affairs of any Bank, why it should accept responsibility of banks is a big question. Government should increase DICGC cover to full amounts of deposits kept by public without any ceiling, even by collecting lowest premium @ Paise 0.10 per thousand per year from agreeable depositors? RBI is not thinking preventing failure of banks. It is just creating trouble to depositors, particularly from last 5 years. Earlier, this type of things were not happening.

Its unfortunate that innocent and honest savings of honest people is put to such a jeopardy. And the bank was commenced by stalwarts Sri VS Krishna Iyer, Sri TR Shamanna, who took a very good name in politics as they were totally service minded.

Looks like these press people have chosen guys who either don't know basic facts or are habitual liars bent upon obfuscating and misrepresenting basic facts. Just look at the short dark guy who is nonchalantly mouthing falsehoods. He says individual depositors will immediately get ₹50000 and later another ₹5 lakh, which is blatantly false. ₹5 lakh is the maximum amount that can be paid to individual depositor in situations like this; The initial amount of ₹50K now allowed to be paid is only a part of that. This same guy is seen declaring that what has happened in Sri Guru Raghavendra Bank won't ever happen in this bank. There is another guy with leukoderma symptoms who is squarely blaming RBI for the situation. These guys look as if they are the agents of the criminals who were managing the bank, deployed for the purpose of blending with restive depositors and giving some false assurances to them.
