My number one recommendation is Trilogy's flagship tour....the day trip to Lanai. (8 hour tour) This tour is on a beautiful catamaran where you are served homemade cinnamon rolls/fruit, sandwiches and coffee. On Lanai, you are taken to the main beach, Hulopo'e Bay where you can lounge in the water or go snorkelling, which I thought was excellent, very clean reefs. Also, the beach is not very crowded, because not very many companies have a licence to dock there, I think Trilogy may be the only one. You can also go for a short hike and check out the tide pools or Pu'u Pehe rock. On Lanai, you are served a chicken meal with stir fry and noodles. Of course, on the way to and back from Lanai, the captain will stop the boat if whales or dolphins are seen, so it can also be a whale watching tour form December to March when the whale season is on.
A snorkeling tour to Molokini, Sunrise at Haleaka, and Maui Gold Pineapple Tour are must go. Everybody who goes on the Maui Gold Pineapple Tour gets to take home a Maui Gold Pineapple.
This is a great video! We are visiting Maui soon and you answered a lot of my questions! We definitely plan on supporting the local tour operators. ❤ Thanks for the recommendations! We love the farm tours too! We’ve done quite a few on The Big Island.
Here are a few of my favorites… A helicopter tour, whale watching with Pacific whale Eco adventures where you learn a lot about the whales and they support sustainability, and last, but definitely not least is the Slack key guitar show in Napili!
When we came from the East Coast, the jet lag actually wasn't bad for us and we were happy to sleep in the first day. We missed the volcano due to extreme windy conditions, but next time! We really find your videos useful, thank you for pulling them together! PS: We also had GREAT experiences with Circle M Ranch and Ultimate Whale Watch (raft!).
Thanks for sharing those tours! We are big fans of Ultimate Whale Watch but haven't been to Circle M Ranch. Thanks for watching and we hope you can come back soon!
Trilogy snorkeling is amazing and Valley Ilse Haleakala Sunrise was outstanding. So sad that the Feast at LeLe hasn’t been able to comeback yet. Thanks for the recommendation on Valley Isle! We are going back for a second round of Sunrise.
Thanks for the reminder! That tour is a gem and great pineapple to bring home. We have a video on it: thehawaiivacationguide.com/activities/maui-pineapple-tour/
Just an FYI about maui sail! They force you to tip when booking online and once payment is made they send you an agreement that you have to sign to go on this tour, saying that you agree that maui sail isn't responsible for anything that happens to you while on tour with them. Funny how this crap is sent to you after they take your money.
HI Jordan and Erica, My family and I get to Maui this Friday July 19th!! It's our 3rd trip in 4 years we just love it so much but we have yet to make it to the sunrise at Haleakala. I jumped on the website exactly 60 days out and got a sunrise reservation for Saturday July 20th since we'll be jet lagged anyway. My problem is as of today the forecast is calling for a 70% chance of rain :( Is it even worth the early wake up and long drive if its cold AND rainy? Would you skip and do sunset on another day when the weather is clear? we'll be there 8 nights from July 19th-27th Thanks Dana
My vote is to go for it. You will be up anyways. Weather on maui is hard to predict. Rough weather just past through so it may clear up now. If it is bad, do a sunset later in your trip. Might as well head up if you have the permit.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thank you for the response. I was just on reddit and someone said that the road in is closed due to fire. I checked the Haleakala National park website and it looks like that is indeed the case. I guess it we will be striking out yet again :(
We are thinking about staying at Ka'anapali hilton vacation beach maui but I am reading the reviews and most are negative or saying it is a timeshare. Do you have any feedback?
YOU MISSED ALOT I’ve been to Maui 15 to 20 times and stayed at the Kea LANI there are many hidden treasures that I could tell you about, but I’ve been sworn to secrecy I made a promise because people today will put it on the Internet when it should be private for all to enjoy!!! 🏝️🏝️🏝️☑️✔️✅💜🩵🩷
Thanks for supporting local Maui tour operators. You can learn more about these tours here: thehawaiivacationguide.com/activities/
Thank you for your transparency, and thank you for shouting out the local guides who need support after the fire!
My paid experience on Maui was biking down Haleakala. 23 miles, no peddling! Loved it.
Which company?
Just got back from Maui. Wonderful times there. Haleakala is a must, we got there for the sunset
It really is special up there at sunrise and sunset.
Heading there in two weeks, I can’t wait. We’ll be doing some of these tours.

Thanks for sharing! Trilogy has become an island favorite. Their family gets involved. We love your review.

Valuable content as always, folks. Thank you! Side note: Where can I get that men's Hawaiian shirt?! That's a need.
That's a Kahala shirt! Look at their website online! Thanks for watching and the comment.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Brilliant, thank you! Ordering a few aloha shirts from Kahala!
Don't forget Oahu going there Aug 16 to the 24th

Hello, thanks for the videos. Im going to maui for the first time soon.
What is your discount code for the snorkeling tours?
It depends on the tour! See here or the description for more resources. thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-vacation-guide-coupon-codes/

Beer and cinnamon rolls before sunrise snorkeling?? 🤩
Living the dream 😂
How are the island people doing after the fire? Is it good to travel there again?
Stargazer, you’re on the newsletter. You know it is a good time to visit. Lahaina is rebuilding and they need visitors to support the economy.
I know but UA-camrs send mixed messages, thank you 😊
Was the Dragon Fruit Farm Tour in Lahaina worth it?
We never made it up there as it was seasonal.
What is the best value for money?
Probably a snorkel tour on Pac Whale foundation or Boss Frog’s calypso. A big boat but a good experience.

We are thinking about staying at Ka'anapali hilton vacation beach maui but I am reading the reviews and most are negative or saying it is a timeshare. Do you have any feedback?
The location is nice in Kaanapali but we haven't been inside. We don't checkout timeshare properties.
Anyplace on Kaanapali beach is well worth the stay!
Just curious, in this video there were a lot of folks wearing masks. Is that a requirement on Maui now, July 2024? Or is this a reposted video?
That is older footage. The mask requirement ended in March of 2021
Do Kauai
!
Excellent! Thanks for the feedback!
