It's really great to see these real time videos. It reinforces the care and attention it takes to get a good result. Thank you for posting another again. These really are valuable.
Great work man as always. Glad you're back and glad you're still drawing. I think you inspire more people than you may realize to take on that artistic journey. Congrats.
Your videos gave me the courage to try portrait drawing last year. You, and a few other drawers on this platform, has helped me get going with this fascinating activity.
Hey Bradwyn !Very happy to see you back on youtube again! You are a great inspiration to me and thanks to you I connected with Watts atelier for awhile. Presently I'm in Florence, Italy and have completed my first year at the Florence Academy of Art. 😊 I hope to see you back on youtube from time to time. Thanks again for all your generous instructions both with the basic skills and to let us follow the model drawings. I especially liked the Jimmy Hendrix session. I hope to one day be able to draw with likeness like you.
You're amazing man, I seriously just love your demeanor and I've learned so much from your videos. You're an inspiration. Please keep posting if you're up for it!
It's so good to see you back! Looks like everyone missed you loads. I love watching you draw bro and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful creations this year.
Welcome back , Bradwynn Jones )) I have been waiting for your new video for a long time) Great video!! Thank you!! By the way, i really like your "wake and draw" , it's so funny and interesting and i like the music too)
Hello Bradwynn, admiration for your phenomenal drawing and instructional skills, particularly the way you see and execute every bit correctly ; and the analysis as you talk through. You are also capable to demonstrate your esthetic exploration and emotional connection to the people you draw- it shows how much you like them in a magical effect in the final portrait. You mentioned you were planning a trip to the UK, did you manage to visit any art gallery in London? I'm wondering which world master inspires you and who are your favourites. I am an ethnic greek, living near London, have studied history of art and fine art( how to draw) many years ago, though I have never earned living from these. Right now my daughter is a teenager( gifted but lazy) and you our top role model of a disciplined and inspired person. Kind regards, Malina
So I didn't realize until a few moments ago that this video is from 3 years ago...you have ling since finished your portrait..I'm up early and have been working on my own drawing, while you have been busy making this woman come to life....I keep stopping g and watching you, listening to the process..you are very talented and its been nice seeing the transformation..she's looking so good..real..okay back to my work as you are finishing up yours..its been a pleasant time and I have learned..thank you..
Thank you for this video/..., I've learned a lot from this video(P.S watching in real-time really make difference in understanding, I learned this from watching your videos)
Hi, just discovered your channel a few days ago. Love the content! What is the eraser you use for the earirng? Thank you. I am learnig so much from you. Thank you
Hey bro - I noticed near the end you said you're surprised anyone watches these?? You shouldn't be! You're skills are fantastic! I have watched a bunch of your Wake and Draw videos and enjoyed them all. I am trying to draw myself and while I've gotten better, I still suck really bad. Can't get proportions correct to save my life! Anyway, keep these up, they're great and I for one am learning a lot from you. How do you get your pencils sharpened like that??
1:40:37 Ahhh! The sound that nightmares are made of!! Glad to see you back at it bud, this drawing looks awesome! I was playing this video as I was drawing and picking up some good tips along the way. Actually your frequent reminders to yourself to breathe were really helpful reminders for me too. It work as a pretty helpful tool to let go of the tension that happens when you're focusing for so long, I think it helps to stay more mindful too.
Fear ye not thy cross hatching. A little crosshatching never hurt anybody. This is the gospel according to brother in the arts Bradwynn Jones. I sat through the whole video and held my breath a good few times too. There was one thing that kept bugging me.(in a positive way) I really did wanna see you put that little line in to define her teeth! Respectfully, I guess she has slight "bucked teeth" as we used to all it when I was growing up in Glasgow, Scotland. I had this for a few formative years. People who had really big teeth were called Bugs Bunny. Kids can be cruel. What I mean here Bradwynn is...do you not feel that this is an important part of her defining features/characteristics? Oh and I love the concept of the artist alarm clock sounding like a pencil crashing to the ground. Well done with this one, a really honest piece of art. Thanx for sharing your time once again. Ps use some paper over your drawings to protect your work from smudging as you go along. Don't stay away too long this time. All hail the powerful Mono Zero! Lol
You sketch is as different from the original picture as Oranges from Bananas. It could be because of two different angles. But there is a big difference.
Bradwynn - dude! So glad you're back. You may remember me from my OLD account (StogieFarts). Because of you being a huge influence, I've created this new portrait drawing account. I'd love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. Again, you're one of my biggest influencers who taught me to draw. So happy to see this new video from you and I'm going to be watching it now. 👍🏼👍🏼 - Jeff
