Another great video and you cracked me up. I think I will be watching these all winter as I start the rebuild on my 350. Can't wait for the next addition.
+Brian Badovin You planning to video the rebuild, hopefully I will of finished the current project hopefully and working on the XT rebuild, but never know lol....
+Saturdays Wrench , thank you! your videos have got me through a few of the steps. This is also my first build. When are you going to be uploading another video?
I'm glad they're helping.. I'm figuring things out as I go also. I'm uploading an update in the next few days and I am hoping to shoot a full episode this Sunday! Should be uploaded by next week. I'm also working on a video of a motorcycle show I rode to in the summer. Also waiting to hear from a mechanic about getting some guidance with the engine assembly. I really don't want any future problems so I'm thinking it's a good call to get a professional to do the really technical stuff.
+Saturdays Wrench Cool, I will be stoked to see the next video. I think you mentioned in your video that you are from Toronto. I am sure things must be crazy there right now. I was there last week and was surprised on the energy of game one and two. For the Engine I end up doing the same, I was going to try and do it myself but i figured it might just be better to have a mechanic do it. Once he broke it down I was glad i brought it in. Ended up needing a whole new top end. Pistons, rings, rockers, valves, valve springs, cam shaft, gear, chain, and tensioner, honestly i don't even know how my bike was running.
Dude.. the city is on fire right now! One team repping all of Canada and we're all standing proudly behind them! Wow good call on the engine my friend. Very smart call and why I decided to do the same. If you have it apart it's a no brainer. Get it done once and done correctly! Life time of hassel free riding. Sound good to me! Keep me posted on your build. Hit me up any time at saturdayswrench@gmail.com
Great channel look forward to catching on the previous vids... we live and learn, have done exactly the same thing and taken something off or out, only to find I have to buy new and they cost a fortune or are hard to find... now, I always look up everything prior to breaking out the wrench on the project bike..
+GTs Garage Makes a lot of sense and something I have definitely learned through this process! Thanks for watching man, you have some great videos also. Love the accent too!! My dad's a cockney! lol
Hey great videos man. Love your work and your honesty. I'm also building a CB350 at the moment in Australia. Just thought I'd share a tip with you regarding using your old bearings to seat the new ones. You can remove the inner race along with all the bearings and cage until you are left with just the outer race. You then make a cut through the outer race so that it's no longer a closed loop. This allows you to hit the new bearings in only allowing pressure to be applied onto the outside race of the new bearings. And the slot you cut in it comes in handy with deep bearing housings so that the race can compress and slip back out only leaving the new bearing inside your hub. Hope all of that makes sense. Keep up the good work!
Matt Pearson Matt, thanks for the great advice man that will definitely come in handy. I'm pretty sure I understand what you are talking about. That little tool will come in handy for sure. Thanks again for the support and good luck with your project!
Hey man, at 1:25 when you mention the rear wheel hub plugs. Is that unique to CB350 models? I tried to look up the parts fiche for my 75 CB360T and they dont have this plug in the schematic!! CB360s seem to have just the cush drive or damper bushing as they call it. I tried to gouge it out with a blind bearing puller without luck and propane heated one of em - so I'm going to have to replace them. Considering taking the hub to a machinist for them to pull out the old one - I have already ordered new ones for $13.84 a pop. Yikes! Now after the video I'm having after thoughts - what do you reckon?
+harish nair haha I'm not too familiar with that model to be honest with you. I left mine in there and just spray painted and baked at 300 degrees at home in my oven rather then over 500 degrees at the powder coaters... If you've already removed them just get them replaced and forget about what it costs.. just think about cruising down the road haha
Looking awesome so far! I am sure all the hard work is going to pay off. Great videos - I really appreciate them. I have a '68 I am getting ready to start, so I'm getting a lot from your lead. You want to come down to the states and do it again? ; )
+Reece Ramsey shine seal only last about a year before you reapply. I did not want to have to keep reapplying it to the hubs because they have a lot of hard to reach areas.

+redwillissuperman Hey Bud.. Took the summer off to enjoy the weather and ride my other bike. Too much going on to get into the garage in the summer... Plus I wanted to take a step back to gather myself. It takes a lot of time researching, making the videos, editing, wrench etc etc.. But I'm going full speed ahead coming up in next weekend! I am going to shoot a new installment and hopefully post in the next few weeks. My goal is to finish this project by spring!

+Matt Pearson Is a great tip, how is you rebuild going on, just put the engine back in the frame on my project.
All this hard work your bike is going to be badass!!
mungnuts1 Thanks! I'm sure it'll pay off!!
you know you can buff the clear coat, just like cars. if the coat looks a bit foggy try polishing after cure
+Sir Charles actually didn't realize that but it makes sense. Thanks for the tip!
Great series. Looking forward to more!

+Bidoo f haha I would too man.. as long as I could learn something. Good luck with it!
When does the new video come out? It's been too long, I'm excited to see this thing go back together!
+daniel burke Hopefully in the next week or so my man! Just doing some research on the fork installation and I have a big update coming soon!
Switch spray paint, you should do several coats and then wet sand it smooth.
Whens the next video coming out?
+BP BP Hopefully in the next week or so my man! Just doing some research on the fork installation and I have a big update coming soon!
Why the clear coat on the rear hub versus shine seal on the rest of the polished parts?
