    For the price this is a very good unit. Like all amateur stations of its type it over estimates temperature (especially in sunny weather)and under estimates wind speed.
    The main drawback of this unit is the raingauge,although fairly accurite it has a large 0.4mm resolution which means smaller rain events are sometimes missed.
    The display is excellent and is easily from all angles.

    Allow me this comment about my experience with this weather station. I bought it in 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic. In the first uses, I soon noticed a defect: the temperature, when the sun hits the sensor, tends to be higher than the real one, about 2 to 4 degrees more. The station worked perfectly for a while longer, but the worst thing was waking up one morning in February 2021 and the screen had simply frozen, only the indoor temperature and atmospheric pressure/rain part had not frozen. That is, even when clicking on any button, the information displayed on the screen did not change. This unpleasant situation came to be repeated in the future, and I always had to reset the console to revert the error, which always involved data loss. As if that wasn't enough, the rain gauge stopped recording precipitation not even two years after I bought this station. Simply a disappointment. I have another weather station, WiFi, which doesn't give wild temperature readings and works much better. I do not recommend the Bresser 7002510 (the station shown in this video). I'm sorry.

    Hello. I've tried 3 times now to get any outdoor reading. I've done the replacing the batteries in the right order, left them beside each other so they sync, But still no readings, its sooo disappointing as it was a gift from my daughter

    I see on Amazon there is a Logia 5-in-1 Wi-Fi Weather Station that looks exactly like Bresser , do you know if they are same?

      diggy doug Hi, I don’t know. Bresser now have a new range so perhaps the old model or a very similar one is available from other sources.

    Hello, Thank you for your video. After One year Are you still satisfied with your weather station?

    • @JenhamsAstro
      @JenhamsAstro  5 років тому +4

      Hello Stephane. Yes, it is still working well. The only things i have done are to change the batteries once on the indoor display panel, which was getting dim, and to clear small debris from the rain gauge periodically when i remember. As i think i mentioned in the video, the time function occasionally decides to change from GMT to DST, but to me this is a minor glitch only. I hope this helps, Graham

    Hello, thanks for your review. Could you gently give more information about external unit material? In particolar, are the bracket, the foot stand and the main leg metallic or plastic?

    • @JenhamsAstro
      @JenhamsAstro  2 роки тому +1

      Hello, they all appear to be hard plastic. As I’ve had the unit for sometime now I have removed it for cleaning on several occasions - the mounting seems strong enough for the job.

    • @riccardor1060

      @@JenhamsAstro thanks for your reply. I thought they were metallic, being plastic (even if hard) does not convince me so much. Mmh.

    Does any software go with it so readings can also be seen on a PC? An android app would've come quite handy too but can't find one.

    Would you have any idea about the battery life time of the outdoor sensor? I am wondering if I should replace it before winter comes when climbing my roof is not that enjoyable :) It's been there for 3 months now, and reporting battery OK.

    Hi,
    thanks for your video.
    Is it possible to measure the distance between the two screws of the solar shield? If you can also measure the distance between the two interlocking pins of the solar shield with the body of the station.
    Thanks

    • @JenhamsAstro
      @JenhamsAstro  3 роки тому +1

      OK, so the screws look to be 50mm apart, and if you mean the 2 "posts" that are at right angles to the screw's centreline then I'd say 35mm. Measured by hand with a ruler so +/- 1mm ish!

    • @JenhamsAstro
      @JenhamsAstro  5 років тому

      Hello, yes it is still running well. It will need a new set of batteries soon. The RCC time was a problem when i first had the unit, and i found it kept becoming offset by 1 hour from UK time. I turned off the DST setting an it has shown the correct time since.

    I've seen this model being sold under a few different names, but which company actually makes it?

    • @JenhamsAstro
      @JenhamsAstro  6 років тому

      I can't be certain but Bresser say they are selling it "direct from the manufacturer". The label gives the Bresser address in Germany.

    What is the size of the mounting bracket?

    • @JenhamsAstro
      @JenhamsAstro  5 років тому

      I've just measured it. The size of the horizontal mounting "foot" is about 12 x 8cm. There are holes drilled near each corner to allow you to screw in down onto a post. My fence posts are smaller so i drilled some new holes through this flat plastic "foot".

    Hello , just one question....it needs internet to work? Salutations from Spain! Thank you!

    • @JenhamsAstro
      @JenhamsAstro  5 років тому +1

      No, the outdoor sensor part transmits its own radio signal to the indoor display panel. It doesn't connect via WiFi.

    Is it worth £72 and what is the range from station to display please jenham

    • @JenhamsAstro
      @JenhamsAstro  4 роки тому

      Hi Victor, for me it is a good value product, the only things i would note as negatives are that you can't download any data, and now and again it applies a 1hr time correction when it shouldn't. For all the weather data it works well and that suits me. For the range, the manual says 150m. I just did an experiment. Normally the receiver is about 5m from the station outside. It shows 5 bars of signal reception. I carried the receiver to the end of my road, which is about 40m away on the other side of a house. The display showed 2 bars and was still updating. So i don't think 150m is accurate, but maybe closer to 50m. I hope this helps, Graham.

    Mine is a POS, it took over an hour to figure out it only supports WPA1 encryption, its been raining here for two days straight and it doesn't measure rainfall at all. Waste of money. This is my second device, the first one lasted 3 years and then decided that everyday its -23°C and stop measuring the temps and outdoor humidity. I figured I would purchase the new one, hopping that they fixed the bugs, but instead its worse. I will not be purchasing another

    One thing that is very irritating . Is the time shown it is 1 hour ahead of what it should be . It is impossible to alter . The instructions says to read the detailed manual . Which of course is not supplied . So I go on the Internet to find said manual . Only to find I must take out an annual subscription ! What a rip off !!!! If I know what I know now . I would not bother buying !!

      That's right you can, but now and again mine does still get itself "confused" by one hour! Overall the time is the only glitch I've had with it. For the weather monitoring it has worked very well for a couple of years with only battery changes required. Happy New Year and clear skies to you!
