That band is like Lemmy from motorhead in an ac/dc coverband sprinkled with pantera and slayer attitude then thrown into a big iron maidenesque performance

Udo is, too, with "Dirkschneider and the old gang", lol. Him, a couple other former Accept members, his son on drums, and a couple others, and they've released a couple singles so far from an album that releases later this summer, I think. What I've heard so far sounds pretty cool and it's neat his son is in the band👍
I'm 30 but I have always loved this song. Nana King made me roll over laughing when she said balls to the wall after granny Hayes said they were going to jump right into it 😂🤣🤟😜😘

Saw them with Iron Maiden back in the mid 80's, but Iron Maiden's stage show completely blew my mind!!! When this song played everybody was Rocking.... Had my head in the speaker on the left side of the stage!!! Lol

No 2 ways about it. The wide spread effect of '80's metal was the unleashing of super powers to the world. The kind of power's that force us to move, get rid of all aggression, anger, and power to finish the job's we could finish just minutes before. These old fellows still rock like they did 40 years ago. Even with their balls to the wall. Only about a month ago I watched this gig for the first time. As much as we love loads of the new rock, the older stuff is always fantastic to revisit. And most of still sounds fresh and new. As some kids I know say, "Rock on, and rock hard".

You need to check out Fast as a Shark the original studio version. I think you'll enjoy that. It was released the year before Balls to the Wall. It was my 1st experience with Accept all the way back in 1982 and I'm still a fan. I have everything they have put out since they reformed with current singer Mark Tornillo . Everything they have done has kicked ass,

The first time I ever heard this song (1982,) I thought it was a newly-released AC/DC song. And so did all the other guys in the car at the time...

Their first hit actually was something AC/DC had recorded but ultimately decided not to release, "I'm a Rebel", which otherwise would've been on the Dirty Deeds album. I usually describe Accept as something like "As if a heavy metal AC/DC had a child with Scorpions, with Judas Priest and Motörhead playing foster parents"

If I'm not mistaken, Udo, the original lead singer, his wife was the one who wrote the lyrics to the song...had no clue they did this with a orchestra...very cool. Y'all should check out Metallica's S&M 1 and 2...done years apart...with them performing sets with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra...it's amazingly cool. Love you guys! ♥️

@@nanaking9560 he said he was fired in an interview because the rest of the band wanted to do more commercial stuff. He started his own projects after. Personally i think both versions sound good.

Fantastic German speed metal, I was a fan back then, favorite song was ‘fast as a shark’. Please check it out, it’s a faster more driving song and was in a movie called demons where a guy on a dirt bike in a theater w/girl on back rode around killing demons w/samurai sword. For me Mark Tornillo is excellent replacement for Udo Dirkschneider, but Udo is and always will be a legend for me.

To US metal fans, there is so much metal around the world, you should give it a try.
Looking back over all of our videos, you’ll see that we actually did an International Metal Week once when we visited 5 bands of International roots. You should check it out. Plus we do many German, Japanese, Swedish, English & other European bands as well as American. We’ve even done a couple from India. Great music comes from all over the globe. More like AC/DC meets Judas Priest. But they have much stronger songs in my opinion and much faster. They are one of the first pioneers of so-called speed metal (essentially faster version of original British heavy metal).

I remember Accept from back in the day. As to my age, I was born on January 22, 1969.
My second daughter was born in 1969, and my first girl in 68. You’re the right age to have enjoyed a little bit of everything that’s been awesome in metal all these years. Granny Jeff, my son, was born in 72 and Granny Haze son in 70 and as she said, all”seasoned rockers.” Rock on babies. ✌🏻🎶🤘🏻🖤
I was born in 1968 and metal was just getting to be big like prototype metal that’s what you called proto metal anyways my parents hated it and I loved it because it’s not everyday that a band puts out a good song like that like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin they were the pioneers of heavy metal and I loved them I got into heavy metal around 1980 to 81 anyway I haven’t regretted changing up my life along with my music and the only children that love my music is my oldest son and my daughter who’s the youngest and my daughter to think of it well basically I didn’t think she’d love it she’s four turning five in dec on the first yeah I don’t want to really get into it but yeah

As I’ve also said before, Granny Haze grew up on the Beetles and Hendrix and more and I was into more Elvis and early Motown and we both love that music today. We’re blessed to actually get into Metal at our ages. See what can happen when you analyze before you criticize. We’re loving every minute of this crazy journey. Who knew? 🖤🖤🖤
@@nanaking9560 I totally agree I liked Jimi Hendrix but I also liked the Beatles and yeah we are loving every minute of this journey I mean I grew up in high school I live in Vancouver actually I was born here but I did move away for four years but yeah so there was a lot of interesting concerts here back in the day like simple minds and loverboy and yes Jimi Hendrix live here at the pacific coliseum where and also Led Zeppelin and triumph and I loved 20 minutes away from the pacific coliseum and yeah probably since granny haze has listened to Jimi Hendrix she probably heard the performance back in the day if she did hear him yeah and I’m also a firm believer about music that everybody loves and the music people here grew up on was heavy metal or rock but those who didn’t like those genres of music liked hip hop r&b or disco or even country and my parents they love country but yeah and Pink Floyd was also live here maybe granny haze also listened to them but yeah that basically all I’m going to say about who was and who wasn’t live here back then but I didn’t talk about who wasn’t live here but I’ll just include it I just want to say that you guys are very funny with your reactions and just funny in general but yeah

I've seen them live as a support band almost a decade ago and I liked them more than the main act, FFDP. Back then they were a bit "pop-y" at times, though

I was never into Accept back in the day or even now. I remember the original singer called UDO and he always looked like he meant business. Probably a real nice guy. Typical fare for the time. The title sounds like a AC/DC song as they used the word Balls in one or more of their songs.

You should try to listen to the band “Red”. They do have a specific person who comes in and composes each and every song of theirs with something specific and special. Here’s a few different songs that I think would be good to listen to “Damage”, “Release the Panic”, and “Hymn for the Missing”. Whether you choose to do a video or not is okay. These songs are pretty good songs and definitely are pretty different from each other in different ways. You should also try to check out some of the songs done bye the band Styx with the CYO. They have a pretty good selection of the bands music and the best part is that they play with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra on each of these songs. It was all done from the city of Cleveland.

@@nanaking9560 The other thing that the lead singers style of singing is very, very hard on your throat. His voice has diminished quite a bit. I'm surprised he can even talk these days! He might need a voice box transplant to keep get back to his younger days. Thanks for the great music and videos!
This is a newer version of that song. You should check out the original video version. It has the original band members in it. It’s so much better than this. This band was back in the 80’s the second biggest band out of Germany next to Scorpions. Also I saw them back in 1984 and they were phenomenal!!!
We will check out the “original “ at some point, so thanks for that suggestion. We really enjoyed this version though and since this is the singer they’re going with now, that’s why it’s acceptable to us. Besides, we never knew there was another singer before or that there was even a band called Accept. You learn something knew everyday no matter what age you are I guess. Some people say the same about Linkin Park without Chester and OMG…..it’s been over 40 years since Brian Johnson took over for Bon Scott in AC/DC and that controversy still rages on. I can understand preferring one artist over another, but it is what it is and that doesn’t mean that a band is no longer good….just different. We appreciate your comments though anytime. While I like Mark Tornillo as a vocalist I think the older Accept songs are way better when done by Udo Dirkschneider, their original vocalist. He has an even more raspy and unique voice. And he's quite the character. They also had more punch with him.

Question: Why do we not have any great bands creating great music today. I'm not talking a one hit wonder every 5 years but several albums a year.

THe industry has changed. iTunes, youtube, spotify and all that made record labels rather unimportant. There ARE good bands making great music out there, they're just hard to find. Check out Rival Sons, Dirty Honey, All Them Witches, The Hu, Greta Van Fleet, Black Pistol Fire and South of Eden - just to name a few.
You should check out GATC. They are awesome, trying to keep rock alive. Problem is, they are out of India and trying to get recognized here in the US is hard. Look up their song Rock and Roll is here to stay, Wounded, The Distance Between, She's Heavy Metal, Bad Shepherd. Also the lead singer Girish Pradhan, has done some fantastic covers of Steelheart and Bon Jovi.

The new Accept is a good band, but only one original member now.
You have to check out the 80's Accept wich was a great band that put out everything from speed metalesq to really soft ballads.

Udo was a better vocalist, but man, the bass line for this song is so good. Simple but catchy. One of my favorite songs from these guys. I’d suggest Fast As A Shark and Generation Clash from them.

@@nanaking9560 I sort of agree with metal maniac on a few first thing he was my favorite in accept when I was a teenager that’s when they released princess of the dawn and balls to the wall two of my favorite by them but I just don’t see why an American and don’t be mad would be in a German band he just doesn’t have that full potential that Udo Dirkschneider has but they did do some good songs with the lead vocalist they have now some of which I can’t name but yeah and second of all your also right don’t criticize a band for their lead singer type I mean some bands have done better with the second lead vocalist then the but is going well with them first I mean plus i was very and I mean very mad when queen decided to put Adam Lambert as the lead singer believe me but I got used to it and now I like both lead singer back to accept and their doing so good with mark torn I’ll and if it weren’t for Udo Leaving accept we wouldn’t have u.d.o his self named band

Like I’ve said several times, this is truly the first time we’ve ever heard of this band or song and we had no idea there even was a “Udo.” We enjoyed this very much however and maybe one day we’ll go back and do a song with Udo as the front man. no... fast as a shark is an older, thrashier classic, metal heart, also eighties, is known as well. tha latter has partial renditions of Pyoiter Tchaiskovsky's (messed that name up im sure) marche slav (intro), and ludwig van beethoven's für elise for the solo. i actually found a comment on some video of the "slavonic march" simply saying "metal heart". then theres their live rendition of mozart's 40th symphony in g minor in that same wacken concert, highly recommended. and then koolaid (about jonestown 1978), and teutonic terror.
