- Join us for a special two-hour Opry Live as we celebrate the 5000th Saturday Night Grand Ole Opry with performances by Bill Anderson, Garth Brooks, Terri Clark, John Conlee, The Gatlin Brothers, Vince Gill, The Isaacs, Chris Janson, Dustin Lynch, Darius Rucker, Jeannie Seely, Connie Smith, Trisha Yearwood, and Chris Young with host Bobby Bones.
Bill Anderson has always been gifted. This Georgia Gal got to go with my parents when I was younger. It was mystical to me Bless Country Music and the Grand Ole Opry. My Uncle Paul Allen used to live in Tennessee so he got to go all the time.

Vince Gills sweet voice singing that Osmond brothers song just about tore me up. Those kinds of old country heartache songs are just the best ever especially with that cry of the steel guitar😥💔 My husband and I have been together since we were 15 years old in 1986. I don't even want to ever know what it feels like to have one of us pass on without the other. 😭😭

I love grandma thank you for playing good song I went to the Grand Ole Opry for my make a wish into person 201 and it was the most wonderful I ever had I meant Western Bill Anderson another fellow memory artist thank you for saying that song that brings back a lot of money I went to Grandma in 2001 would make a wish it was my wish to go to the granddaughter and I'm so I've seen Western Building Anderson and other fellow of remember and I just recall that day like it was yesterday thank you for keeping the Legacy going and God bless you granddaughter with much love a granddaughter of free lover thanks again granddaughter I'm free and I will continue to watch through the decades the shows that you are thanks again

I've been a country fan since I was in my Mama's womb, but I'm hearing some these songs for the first time tonight.
I know what you're saying, I also think I love the Pedal Steel Guitar so much because I heard my dad practicing in the house from when I was in my mothers womb, she told me that she could feel me move more when the steel guitar was playing. Even today decades on, the pedal steel sound gets to every molecule inside me.

I have stood up for America and had the pleasure of meeting some of the old timers Thur my grampa Leo Boutin he played seven horns in Minnesota in the fifty's and sixty's . And my cousin Jim Johnson had a recording studio in Minnesota. And flew around Conway twitty on his private jet . My other cousin opened up for Ted Nugent . I’m 64 years old and still remember listening to the grand ole opry down in the swamp fishing with my daddy. It was on an am radio with a hangar antenna.
Terry Clark came along, when I was in My 20s .I been watching Her for along time. She was probably about 2😮0 Herself. I'm 65 now and still watching, Her for Years. And A lot of Other Country Music Singers. The First Song, I ever heard Alan Jackson sing was Chasing That Neon Rainbow. I FELL IN
LOVE WITH HIM THEN AND I STILL LOVE HIM NOW. AND I A😢LWAYS WILL. COUNTRY MUSIC IS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE MUSIC. I WAS COUNTRY WHEN, COUNTRY WASN'T COOL. MISS BARBARA MANDRELL WROTE THAT SONG, YEARS AGO. I'VE SEEN GOOD SINGERS COME AND GO. I HAVE LOVED EVERYONE OF THEM. LOVE THE OPRY, someday before I die my wish is to attend the Famous Grand Ole Opry. I'm disabled and don't walk without some kind of assistance I hope they have handicap accessible, just have to find someone to take me for I no longer can drive, I love all the singers and their music.

I love Mrs Loretta... I've been to her home by accident because I was lost on a back road and the road dead ended at her back yard. She was sitting on back porch with her husband
She was so kind and sweet to me. I didn't know who she was until her husband called her name. I still didn't gish over her bc I know how it is to be surrounded by people all the time. I got a glass of sweet tea and directions with a big hug and was on my way ❤️ it was a happy day!! I love Mrs Loretta 💞💕😊❤️❤️💕

Mom and Dad listened to country music as long as I can remember. I grew up in the 60s listening to rock and roll. Then sometime in 1970 we switched to country and never looked back. My wife. Brenda and I would go to Frankie's lounge and bribe the bouncer to let her in as she was only 20 in 1970. Fifty-three years later we still are country.

A few of these old timers... Gatlins, Seely, Anderson... "ain't what they used to be" but it's good to see them still upright and giving it a try. Anderson has well over 82 years under his belt when this was recorded... his "whisper" is almost down to us having to lip read what he's sayin'.
If he had been a member of the Opry for 60 years, he must be over 90.
Bill was born Nov. 1 either 1937 or 1939. Still great & most handsome male in country music!!!

Wow. Chris thank you so so much for this playlist. I grew up with all these songs. I've laughed and cried and sang my heart out; not a single note in key at 2 in morning. lol. I was blessed to have visited the Grand Ole Opry waaay back in 1965 or 66. I'm 66 now so I can't remember for sure. I got to see Grandpa Jones, Ronnie Milsap, Stringbean, Mini Pearl, Hoooowdeeee!!!, Hank Snow... Bunch more I can't think of right off but I have so enjoyed this. It has filled my heart. I’ve been to Nashville 4 times, loved every moment. I fulfilled dreams of going to The Ryman, Tootsies, Country Music Hall Of Fame … took a side trip to Jackson & Memphis, where I partied on Beale Street & toured Graceland, tearing up unashamed at The King’s home & final resting place. But, my biggest regret is that I never made it to The Grand Ole Opry. Thank you for this visit!
