@@Mjoyful There is 16:9 (TV/UA-cam format) and 21:9 (cinema format). 19.5:9 makes no sense cause there is no content made in that ratio. Every Camera films in 16:9 or 21:9. Narrow is good to hold it comfortably in one Hand.
@@xperience-evolution i am not a camera buff but as an aspect ratio nerd i would make every phone 18.3:10 if i had the chance or go back to 16:9 but we don't have that power anymore and narrow is just a worse idea in every aspect, it makes the ui design closterphobic and UX even worse and the overall losses or worse than the gains, by all means i think 19.5:9 isn't a solution i currently hate all x:9 screens bc i think 21:10 is a better ratio, and narrow is not good for holding in one hand because reaching for stuff is a pain and since things on the bottom are smaller you hit the wrong things more often aswell as the entire phone being too narrow means it doesn't fill up your palm making it a chlench than a firm hold. overall i think sony did good switching from the 21:9 since i always loved the xperia line (microsd card slot thats easy to remove) but couldn't because of the size of the screen (and that dumb 4k display that i knew was a battery nightmare and the glossy back) but with 6 i loved it tbh id be fine with them altinating each year with one being slim and next year being narrow but like i said two phone releases with diffrent aspect ratios would be awesome.
Killing the Pro apps was the worst decision ever. Keeping the camera app simple and giving pro apps for the ones who needs was the thing you should have done. Disappointed.

Sony removed 25fps option. Right hand side UI clutter slapped on top of live capture gets in a way of proper composition, tapping DISP is one additional action we don't need. P/S/M modes make no sense, just have Full Auto toggle which enables Exposure adjustment. If not shooting Full Auto then shutter and ISO should have an individual auto options which you can toggle separately instead of switching modes. Also option to turn ISO into Gain would be much appreciated. Focus racking is gone as well. Ability to shoot in 21:9 ratio is gone for no obvious reason. Hopefully you have fixed Wide Dynamic Range sync with rest of the image so there are no patches that wobble.

Also slow motion was so much better quality in Video pro app before. All in all Video pro app was a totally complete app. Was definitely missing A-B point focus setting, so if there is a possibility to integrate mentioned details in next upgrade, oh that would be absolutely amazing and useful for us who are using this beast of phone Xperia 1VI. That's how big SCAM Sony was 😡 also no update on Sony Z4 tablet, and so many good old Sony mobile can't used Pokemon Go. Sony, please bring back the Cinema Pro app. That was my default video camera. Being able to set the shutter angle made it a lot simpler than using shutter speed. I love its wide 21:9 aspect ratio too, and the way it converted 120fps clips to 25fps slow motion. Does the new app work that way with 120fps clips?
Does this update allow it to shoot 25fps??? The lack of 25 fps made me buy an iPhone instead... I am thinking to sell it and buy Xperia IF and only if this update brought back the 25 frame per second recording that is the only way to shoot professionaly in Europe (having 50hz power... ) and combine the footage with my other alphas.
I wish this thing had been launched with the same support years of it's price peers. Yes, I know that is a bit silly as I am sticking with my 5ii which doesn't get security updates anymore and runs happily on good old Android 12... And I also was pleased to see Sony & Google very recently gave the 5ii Magic Eraser etc and Gemini (with Gemini launchable from the unloved dedicated Google button next to the shutter button) so I should not be concerned a 1 vi only has half the support years of it's rivals.. BUT!!! it is a £1300 phone and at that price I want what the other makes offer too. I only buy launch day phones and while I have a collection of headphones I only use one of, I won't be buying anything before the next launch as it has to be gift discounted 9 months in. Rant over.. ;)

On my previous Xperia 1 ii, while phone in sleep mode I could just wave my hand in front of the selfie cam without touching the phone and it would show date and time, that amazing feature has been removed on the Xperia 1 vi, another amazing feature that has been removed is the front LED that bink if there is a message or a state of a battery or a email that can have a different colour, no more front blinking LED, can you please bring back these hands free amazing features that makes you stood out in the oast with the current ear phones jack? Thank you
Unfortunately the UI is still stock garbage, there's no useful features like a PROPER one-hand mode (instead of Google's idiotic one), Xperia Themes still haven't returned and the "theming" offered is an absolute JOKE, the phone doesn't even have a REAL Dark Mode (which uses black)... It's just way too awful a software experience. You need to do MUCH better, Sony. App updates are NOT system improvements. You can released the updates to the camera apps at any time.
