Most Android phones have Pro/Expert/Manual Mode built in their default camera app. And i personally used it a lot. Still, the Xperia phones have the best one. iPhones don't have Pro/Expert Mode in their default camera app. Btw, Olle that is such a good demonstration of Leveling up Smartphone Photography.

Sony official site also announced that this feature will come with android 14. Unfortunately, this feature has not come despite the 1 year that has passed. As Xperia 1 V users, we sent mass e-mails to Sony and started a signature campaign. As someone who has personal contact with Sony, we would be very pleased if you convey this request to them.
It's such a sad time to be an Xperia user from the terrible "upgrade" with the 1 vi and the lack of updates and the poor telephoto resolution giving fluffy images . Ugh why can't they just listen to their core audience instead of trying to please the people who won't even buy it

Sony said that 48 mm mode would come with the update, but did not keep its promise. Hundreds of users on Reddit are complaining about this issue. I understand their desire to make a best-selling device, but they should not ignore the wishes of niche users while doing so. Many of us have been using Sony for many years. We don't deserve this kind of treatment.

Thank you so much! I believe either the Shutter speed or ISO has to be in AUTO for the EV to be set. If nothing's in AUTO, You are shooting fully manually, so no need for you to "give the camera a hint" of what exposure you're after, since you have full control. Hope that makes sense :D
Please help us here.....recent updates on my 1 v has updated the algorithm on auto shooting...however I was trying the macro lense photography after the update I found some improvements on 3.5 close in photography in macro mode. Have you found the latest updates from Sony have enhanced the camera set up on the 1 5 ?
So i like every Xperia videos that you made. I have a simple question. Compare to the pro mode from xperia to samsung to even some Chinese phones, they are all exposing similar controls if not all the same, even the tracking mechanism. What sets Xperia apart from them? I only know the two stage shutter button is unique.
Glad to hear that! I personally really like the files from Xperia becuase they look pretty similar to what my regular camera produce In terms of sharpness and colors. But that's personal preference :)

I was very disappointed to find out that my 1400Euro phone lacks the time lapse option in the camera app. I have started using timelapse videos quite often during the last couple years. Do you have a suggestion on how to replace it? I was looking for an app that integrates it straight into the original camera app (saw some post on Reddit on this). Or maybe just a simple app that does the job, without me needing to recompile thousands of photos into a video. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated, since apparently posts to fix Xperia 1 VI issues are scarce. Thank you in advance!
Hi Oile, i have gotten myself a sony 200mm - 600mm lense paired with A6400. But for the most part, i can't get sharp images. They always seem "soft" or, like they would need micro-adjusting the focus. Same with a tripod or without. How did the 200-600mm on aps-c seem to you ? Did you find the pictures more soft ?
This worth getting ? I left android as phones seem to lag and battery wise didn’t last! So went to iPhone but the Sony keeps calling me 🤣 but had the 5 and just lagged. Is this any better or improved ?
Hello Nilsson, I've been following you on UA-cam for a while, I'm Brazilian, but we don't have anywhere to buy Sony here in Brazil, only PS5, I could ask Sony to import its Xperia lines to Brazil, as well as the PS5. Many want the brand. I can't stand Samsung and iPhone with their saturation anymore.
You can wear a sweatshirt over a t-shirt, while the sun is still up?! Except for ~2 hours after sunrise, I can't go outside for more than 5 min w/o feeling like my face is melting off. I'm at 50 degrees N latitude and we barely get minimum temperatures (at night, of course) below 25C, with them peaking at 38-40C in the afternoon. And it's humid too; not swamp-humid, but far from a "dry heat." I know Sweden is further North, but you also get less cooling off time (darkness)... so I can't imagine wearing more than a t-shirt.

with the tele macro mode keeping distance can be very usefull with animals. otherwise they will notice you and fly/run away.
