Thank you so much for highlighting my yarn (FiberOwl Yarn Company)! It means so much to a small indie dyer like me!
Aww yay!! Happy to share!
I am loving this format. Your podcast has gone to number one for me. I love the shop tours, the farms, mills, towns and countryside. I would also be interested in some short spots on what it’s like living on the road in the van. Such a nice break from the regular FO, WIP, etc. I hope you, hubby and Toaster are having a blast.
Thank you so much for highlighting Lynn Hobbs store in Jasonville, Indiana!! I grew up there. Lynn is such a lovely person. Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!
Thank you for highlighting my yarn bowls!
Aww yay!! Happy to do so!
I'm literally within 30 minutes of two of these stores and have never been! Thank you for shining a light on all of these yarn stores!
No way!!! These are the kind of comments I'm so excited to see!
I can't get to Clay Purl as often as I would like, but when I can for 10 ish years. They have online too
Thanks for sharing all of the fantastic shops and gorgeous yarns with us. I especially liked the Red Hill Mill tour and that the family, especially the kids, pick out colorway names. Pumpkin Guts is my favorite 😊
I lived in Indiana for 3 years. What a lovely reminder of the beauty.
It really is a beautiful state!
Really enjoying the tours of shops and seeing different towns in the u,s,
Thanks so much,,,
Elaine 💗🏡🏡
Loving the yarn tours that you have been showing us, especially when we get a little inside look into the production side of yarn and fibre.
Great podcast and I loved the Red Hill Alpaca farm. How interesting that was. ❤
I am LOVING your yarn tour of the USA ❤ Really cute shops that I need to visit.
So fun! Indiana looks so beautiful
Omg I love Karen from Rebel Purl yarn shop. She was great. That yarn is gorgeous. I need to make my way across the country to see all these shops and buy the pretty yarn. I’m loving these yarn shop videos.
I know! Karen was hilarious! 😅
I never comment on videos, but I felt compelled to comment on this one Natalie! I'm a newish viewer from Australia, and I must say I love this format. I'm thoroughly enjoying watching your travels and "visiting" areas I will probably never get to in my life. Thank you so much - I really appreciate your work (and Kent's too!). Stay safe - Nicole :)
NC has the Charlotte Area Yarn Crawl the last week of September.
I am loving all of these yarn shop tours!! I keep adding them to my saved places on my Google maps so that as we travel around as a family each summer I can drop in and visit them!
This is awesome!! I've been to the Clay Purl and bought great yarns there the shop is so cute but I've never been on the yarn crawl so thanks for the tour!!!
OMG!!! Love, love, love the handmade potholders.
Right! So cute!!
Awesome video guys! Loved seeing new places and got some new follows.
Love this so much!
Great film 🎥 some talent as a film maker here for sure.
As well as your beautiful makes 👏👏💖
Thank you!
Great hashtag #united skeins of america and graphics in the intro. This is already a must-see UA-cam event!
Aww thank you so much!
TU for taking us along on ur travels. Love the tours of the yarn shops & all the beautiful scenery.❤
Love your tours!
#question: What's it like to get ready in the morning, and how have you found keeping to a schedule? What has been the most surprising thing about your lifestyle change? Ok, so 3 questions :-) Thank you for sharing your adventures!
It’s so much fun to watch this while I’m sitting in my camper in KY finishing my last sock for SSC.
I just now finished mine. Worked on it at KY lake, LBL.
Thank you. That was fun!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Has anybody thought of writing a story of the trip from Toaster’s perspective? He looked like he was really enjoying his walk. Please you and Kent stay safe and have a great rest of your week. Looking forward to next weeks video.
Haha that’s a fun idea! I like to share his day to day on Instagram stories if you like watching there ☺️
Love the vlog style, more of that. So curious of the van life. Also love to see all the yarn stores.
I’m loving this series so far!
Thank you!!
Fellow Hoosier here, super excited to see you in my home state. Also looks like I’m gonna take a road trip to southern Indiana 😅
Hello from Mounds, Illinois.
Loving your yarn/touring new life! ❤🤩 Enjoy and stay safe!😊
Nom nom
Thank you for showing some lovely sections of my home state. I have not visited any of these shops yet, but am more likely to try now that I know more about them and their people.
Yay! I hope you enjoy!
Hi Natalie really enjoying your yarn store travels, safe driving Kaye x
I’m from Indiana! Lived there my whole life until I moved to California last year. Thanks for showing all the GREEN!! It’s so dry and brown out here
It was absolutely gorgeous weather while we were there! 70’s and lush. So nice!
So, the question needs to be asked…will you swing into any of our fine Canadian LYS’s? If you’re anywhere near Detroit, there’s a sweet sweet shop just 20 minutes over the bridge in McGregor, Ontario called Sue2Knits. You will find us Canadians are really lovely!
Yes, we're planning on dipping into Canada at some point!
Thankyou Natalie and Kent for another great video of the yarn stores tours. They are so great. Seeing your travels and the beautiful scenery and states that you are visiting are lovely. Take care driving.
You are so close. Chicago! Woolco in Elgin, string theory in Glenn Ellyn, and many in the city!,,,
Thank you Natalie and Kent (and adorable Toaster) for taking us along on this wonderful journey. I especially liked listening to the guy at the Red Hill Mill who was really interesting and seeing those beautiful Alpacas was such a treat! Safe travels x
Natalie and Kent, you are the ultimate power couple! These tours are fantastic! Such fun for those of us not traveling but curious about yarn shops across America.
I love your yarn-tour video’s so much!! Thank you 🙏🏽
I just found your channel and subscribed😊. Thank you for introducing me to yarn shops within driving distance of home ( Louisville ky). I have found only one yarn shop close to home. It is fiber and friends in LaGrange ky. Would love to know if you know of others close to Louisville.
Aww thank you, Sherry! Yes! Fiber and Friends! We haven’t been, but it was on our list too. I’m not sure of any other in Louisville, I’m sorry
You understand what colors to make the states on your map so far. Good job
Natalie what a great tour of yarn stores! I'm really enjoying these as I don't have access to a yarn store near me. Lovin the scenery also !!
The Clsy Purl and Shelley are great. Shelley is helpful and so sweet
I have met and bought from Stephanie at Rosie Posey too
Sooo sweet! Stephanie was too!
Good morning Natalie and Kent!
Morning, Jessica!!
I love the pink and gray yarn, named after their kids. 💞 recently I got back NC and visited a couple yarn shops in Durham and Chapel Hill..sadly did not get to Asheville , but will definitely go back. I’ll be curious where you end up, next Natalie. 😊🧶💫
Loooove the hashtag!!
Thank you! A few people suggested in on Instagram so I can't take credit!
So you all picked up the Oregon colorway for Kent right :)
i can knit sock s!! thank you for the insperation !! i always wanted to knit socks :) i only stuggle with the heel 😅 do you have suggestion to be little more frendly to do ? #?
#question? While traveling are you still able to do Pilates? And therapy/counseling? I thought there’s probably a need for activity/outlet for energy and coping for the stresses of traveling.
Good question! My pilates classes were expensive, so I only felt it was worth it when I could go to 3-4 classes per week, which is too difficult on the road. So we opted for Planet Fitness memberships instead! There are hundreds of locations and we can also use them to shower.
As far as therapy, both of our therapists were only licensed in New York, so we could continue with them on the road. We knew in advance so we could transition out with them. We’re good right now! But if we need therapy, there are definitely options on the road.
So cool to see what yarn shops are in my home state, even if they are all about 3 hours drive from me haha! I would love to visit sometime.
Aww yay! Definitely worth knowing in case you’re ever going by!
Does anyone know the pattern for the sheep colorwork hat at the end? I think it was around the 24 minute mark.
I was in Indiana 9 days ago and had no idea this was going on! Whenever I travel, I try to find local yarn store and never have any luck. How do you find them?
