Hi Claire: I just saw the videos you made about my city so I'm getting in the comments because I feel in debt with this and to honor this "debt". I'm grateful for the quality of them and the glances or our city, also for gathering data about us to bring true info. For your digital nomads, won't make that difference but they can take more benefits, Palermo is a mainly touristic district with all that it's implied, you know. Bordering it towards north you will find Colegiales, Belgrano and Nuñez. Those 3 depending on the zone are cheaper, almost as beautiful as Palermo and many shops and banks you could reach by walking. If you like bikes, you will find many stations along the city and you will able to use them by installing an app and configuring payment method. You could pick up one on Palermo station and leave it on "La Boca" bike station. I don't won't to tell you about all you missed here. ☺ Whoever needs info, advice or a hand, here I am. My respect and gratitude.
I love your video. I’m definitely looking to move Buenos Aires, Argentina where my family’s originally from. I honestly can’t wait to leave Canada. #VamosArgentinaTeAmo🇦🇷
Hi Claire, some small tips to add, - when you present yourself it would be interesting to know which city are you from. - it could be interesting to mention that the Medialunas are for the argentinians what the Croissants are for frenchies. - it should be noted that the Dulce de Leche is the argentinian magic ingredient for vienoisseries, etc. - it should be noted that Argentina is #1 country producing and consuming Alfajores (nowadays there is a hughe variety). Greetings from Palermo (I was born there), Buenos Aires 🙂
Thanks for your comment! I'd addressed these in a lot of my other videos, so I don't want to overly repeat myself. 😊 Feel free to check out my other videos - from Argentina and beyond - for more!
Buenos Aires is great, but I hope U can travel around the country! We have a really diverse and picturesques landscapes. Personally I can't recomend U enough my province, Córdoba (that has it's own accent and vocab), specifically Villa carlos paz (the touristic town), Villa General Belgrano (the german-style colony), La Cumbrecita, Santa Rosa de calamuchita and Tanti (beautiful river-side towns). I suscribed and I would love to see more of these blogs discovering new things and your music too!
You might want to check out Puerto Madero, its a luxurious neighborhood in Buenos Aires, you can see the Fragata Sarmiento, go through the iconic puente de la mujer and visit the natural reserve. There are lots of good restaurants there too.
5:31 That's a Milonga. That word refers to a musical rhythm similar to tango and also to the places where people go to dance tango and milongas, of course.
There are so many coffe shop in Buenos Aires ... because for porteños is so common to stop and drink a coffe any time , to relax alone for a while or to speak with someone , here "vamos a tomar un cafe" means "we need to speak"...
Hey Claire! Congratulations for this amazing lifestyle!! Love your new song 😌 I really wanted to know how do you keep up with being a musician and traveling at the same time? Does your daily job include producing your own songs? How do you sustain this dream digital nomad life basically 😅 Thank you so much ☺️
I'm thinking about living in Palermo for 3 months or so to study, but I don't speak Spanish at all. I'm wondering if that will make it difficult for me. I'll be under a lot of pressure to focus on studying and I really won't have bandwidth to learn any Spanish-will that be a problem?
Hola!. Well..yes. If you wanna learn real Spanish, talks with the locals: make the difference. Don't trust in grammar books. It's more easy feel the language there and speak it, than just "study". Because we have specific and tricky words for all. Patience, passion, and good luck my friend! 🎉. And Welcome to this part of the world!!
Depends. About money, works, legal issues, etc. Ask the local people and get real information!. Because are many dishonest and uninformed international journalists. Not everything is rosy, nor is everything bad. But it depends on which area, neighborhood, province you go to. You are welcome to visit this beautiful country!, Argentina!
Putting captions (English) on can be entertaining in & of itself > Had no idea about coffee shops there 🤣 & I refuse to be apologetic for such cheap thrills of mine 😉
Looks like she is enjoying life, but I hope she is only eating like this for the video. I guess this is how people spend $200/month on food living there; just eating snacks all day and skipping balanced meals. This may be enjoyable now, but this is the road to cancer and obesity; sugar coffee, pastries, fried empanadas, happy hour, no plant foods, etc. Yikes!
The good thing about Buenos Aires is that with 5 dollars you can buy an apartment or a house, it is one of the advantages of it being such a poor country.
I grew up in Venezuela, but this is my new place, I really love Argentina!
It's pretty incredible here. Thanks for watching!
Me alegra que te sientas feliz en nuestro pais

I assume it’s not difficult to live there with English only?
I definitely recommend learning some basic Spanish, but even limited Spanish will help a lot!
With a thousand dollars can I spend a season there in Argentina with my wife?
Antes de ayer, fue el Día Nacional del Mate 🙂

"Digital nomad" is not a thing, really. The word you are looking for is "immigrant".
The good thing about Buenos Aires is that with 5 dollars you can buy an apartment or a house, it is one of the advantages of it being such a poor country.
