Yeah I just gotta say thank you. I couldn't find anything that just shows a for real look at the behind the scenes. Im nervous as heck about starting up in the next few weeks with my own truck. You eased my nerves man. Thank you.
i was nervous also, but honestly as long as u have everything u need and all the food prepared u should do great, nothing to stress about just have fun. what i did was setup in my driveway and had friends and family come over and i cooked as they placed orders
I’m opening mine next month, I’m very nervous but feel a lot better now after seeing this. I appreciate the motivation and hard work behind the scenes. Hope to see more
i was nervous also but after your first hour or 2 ur gonna feel right at home. what i did was setup at my house and had friends and family come by and just acted like i was working for real to get used to everything. i would cook in the truck every night for dinner just so i new how all the equipment worked
Good Luck! You can do it!

You should have a big fold out wood sign to be able to read as drivers are driving by. Keep living the dream stay focused on it. 🎉🎉🎉
Love the video thanks!
really enjoyed the video, would love to see the tripod set up and watching all the food being made and served! God Bless
Great video! Thank you! I've been toying with the idea of setting up a food truck and you've helped a lot!
its alot of work, has its ups and downs but i love it. being your own boss and not having to answer to someone is great. just save and be prepared for the slow days ,weeks or months. best of luck to you in your journey !!

Nice set up. Thinking doing Toco van soon. Got. GEt for things to to do
Damn. Those tacos look so delish. Mouth is watering big time.
Much luck on your business! It's nice to see what it takes to do this business. Thank you for sharing! Very much appreciated!
thank you, im going to make a more in-depth video. theres alot that i didnt no i needed before i started and couldnt find anyone to share the information
@@turburritos631 You rock! You are an inspiration! Looking forward to the experience.
@@MC-dd8ls thank you !!! its alot of work but its worth it, if your starting a food truck your first stop should be the board of health get there requirements
Great vid bud! Money talks and bullshit walks. Onward and upward to you and yours. Going down the food truck rabbit hole aaaaanddddd……”cooking is cooking”. 👍
Great video! BA truck man!
thanks bud !! im gonna start making more food truck videos, theres alot of stuff to talk about that i can never find on youtube.
Congrats! Youre truck is very clean that is very rare to see clean food trucks like that
haha thank you, its crazy how some other trucks operate. i would never be able to work like they do haha
@@turburritos631 I've watched a gazillion food shows your truck is the cleanest I've ever witnessed.
Amazing, I want to taste these delicious Tacos !!🤩
if your local stop by lol
Great info. You should make another video on ( TRUCK OR TRAILER). also I did not understand how you get electricity from street without generator. Thanks
heyy thank you, im planning on making more videos just need the time lol. A truck vs trailer would be a good video cause i have alot of pros and cons i could talk about. my truck has a built in generator and also runs off shore power, i run an extension cord from my truck to the building which is great cause i leave it plugged in 24/7 with my refrigerators on board never have to unload all the stuff every night
How about putting a sign down the road on the side where they can't see you to alert them that you are coming up? Great video. Thanks.
Thanks for the vid 🫡 👨🍳
thank you, im going to be making a more in-depth video soon as i get some time lol. i also want to start streaming live working on the truck just need more subscribers to get that option haha
Thank you for this video.. it is hard to find these types of videos
yeah i couldnt find any when i was starting out. im gonna make a more detailed video on the insurance, town permits and all that type of stuff
Logo is 🔥🔥 2
thank you !!
thanks for sharing this sneak peak behind the scenes video. Is this just a side hustle or full time? I just found this channel, definitely wish I was closer!! 760 miles just a bit too far!! keep up the great work man!
heyy !! i do this full time , best thing i ever did ! im gonna be making more videos just been busy working i want to start doing live videos working on the truck also just need to figure out how to do it haha
YO... Nice to see other peoples vision! You need a sign holder/spinner if it was me. Huge ballon?? Just a few more customers an hour will pay for it. I have been thinking of ideas for the past 30 years. Finally, ..... I just finally got my Triple Decker Pizza Oven Trailer. I bought it off my buddy that sold his pizza franchise , Stoners Pizza Joint. Soooo any how, I am in the business, if anyone needs me to roll in, let me know... my trailer... "STONER ZONE MUNCHIES"... Hippie or Concert Events fit the Vibe we are into! PeAcE
Nice video 🥰
thank you 🥰
@@turburritos631 I’m that was an amazing video. I’m going in business and I’m excited and nervous 😜
@@christinamaxie9445 congratulations!!! best of luck ! …i was very nervous when i first started also, what helped me was i had a few party’s at my house with family and friends and i would work the truck to get familiar of how to really work the truck and get a system down. it will take some time but youll do great, its been nine months and its a walk in the park now, iv done a few events where there was thousands of ppl and my line was an hour long from the moment i started till i closed. u get through it one ticket at a time lol. what kind of food are you serving and where are you located ?
Thank you for all of this info. You are right, there really aren't beginner videos out there. I'm wanting to start up a food trailer, and I can't find any helpful videos on the actual operations of the trailer. I am thinking about going to an outside town/city, and asking if I can tour one of their trailers and ask questions/take notes, that way I'm not scoping out the local competition.
you should go to your local BOH and get the application. they will have all the requirements you will need for your truck or trailer that way u no what u need when your buying. working the truck itself is basically just getting familiar with everything and how to use it all. customer service is big, i treat everyone like family and friends. i do check out all my local truckers to see how they run there business and get ideas for myself. you definitely should start a facebook and instagram business page and let everyone know your coming soon and grow a customer base , if your on facebook check out the group “food truck training” its ran by bill moore he wrote a few books , very helpful i would recommend getting the food truck 101. if you have any questions you can send me a massage on facebook or instagram @turburritos. if you can please give my pages a follow. best of luck on your new adventure!!
Thanks so much for responding. I followed you immediately. I did contact our local city and they emailed me a checklist, so that's helpful. I've worked in the food industry my entire life. My father and grandfather both owned restaurants. This will be a shift from my norm, but I'm excited about it. There's a lot to learn and a lot to pack into a small space. I've been doing my homework for a long time. I am ready to bring my vision to life. I appreciate all of your advice. I will look into every aspect needed to gain knowledge.
@@charlottesmart3457 that is awesome ! so its in your blood lol, where are you located and what type of food are you doing ??
Hillsboro, Ohio and starting up a brunch truck!
👍
It’d be awesome if you can update us on how things are going. Hope the best for you.

Love the video, been catering with a friend of mine for awhile and have been considering starting my own truck. A couple of things that I would be interested in seeing would be, and I understand if you'd rather not share, like average operating cost and what to expect from maintenance. Startup tips alone could be an extremely helpful video, I don't know about others but I really don't have a good metric for what I should be expecting to put into a decent truck to start with. Lastly, and again it's none of my business, but you might have more business if you angled your truck so it catches the eye from traffic coming from the other side as well. In any case good luck and thanks again for the video.
heyy ! thanks for the comment. i was going to make a start up video because there is alot to it that no one ever shares. your first steps would be at your local board of health. the operating cost would depend on what kind of food and supplies you would need, i could make a video on all my expenses and you could compare to what u would be doing. as far as the truck placement at this location this is kind of the best position the ground is very uneven so i try to keep it as level as i can. i cant face the road directly and behind me is woods. we do alot of events and party’s so this is just a few days a week. you can always shoot me a message on facebook and instagram if you have any questions @turburritos
Question, does your friend make more than 60k after fees n taxes? Im considering quiting my job for 1 but wanna know the reality
@@Hardstyler981 i quit my job and started doing this full time, i left a job making about $60k a year and was living paycheck to paycheck. i can say it is more work then your typical 9-5 job but youll be working for yourself ur the boss theres no one to answer to. u set ur own times and make ur own schedule to fit your needs, depending what type of food truck your looking to do will depend how much work is involved but it’s definitely worth it.. atleast for me i think its totally worth it. i enjoy it so it doesnt feel like a job.
@@turburritos631maybe a sign outside your truck
Hello nice truck , one thing get flags like hot dog, burguer, tacos, and others so you can put on grou d or cement. Uckets ok it will help another it did to me. Good luck
heyy, i have a couple flags i put out. i want to get some neon signs next haha
it really is hard to find any behind the scenes vids. best of luck! I'm currently thinking of getting one, but there are a lot of trucks in my town so idk how that'll work. guess one way to find out right lol
yeah it is, its alot of work but definitely worth it , try to pick out a food that isnt offered or put a twist on it that draws ppl in. theres alot of events and private partys so there will always be a need for another truck
if you ever need help or have questions u can message me on FB or IG @turburritos
Could you cover how it works for the set up site? As in, do you have to pay a monthly rent like a stall space? How often do you change location? Thanks, keep it up!
heyyy !! so where i park right now is my own property, i have a few friends that have trucks and pay rent at there locations. price vary depending on location and if electric is provided. i dont change locations as far as parking at different spots. i do leave for events and parties when we are booked. hope this answers your question, you can also send me a dm on IG @turburritos
Thanks for sharing the valuable information. Is the box 14ft or 17ft ? I am trying to buy a used box truck or a sprinter and customize it into food truck. do you know who can do that kinda of job at decent price. who is your food provider ? (sorry I got million question that needs answer , Anxity thing)
the total length of my truck i believe is like 29ft ill have to double check, its longer then most step vans, honestly i dont no anywho to recommend theres a good group on facebook im in its called ( food truck training ) there very helpful in there, as far as food providers i use restaurant depot for most and also local supermarkets. if you have any questions you can shoot me a message on instagram at tuburritos and ill try to help as much as i can !
This video was great, im opening a food truck. I wish I knew more people that had food trucks. Is hiring doordash to do delivery worth it?
what I did was I friended a lot of the local food trucks on Instagram and started talking to them also visiting their truck to get to know a few of the guys and then when you do an event with them you at least know them which is pretty nice. as far as DoorDash goes being a new business on their platform the fees that they charge are a lot plus the prices that they have each item for is expensive so I really don’t make any money with DoorDash if they lowered the fees and stuff like that it might be worth it
Get a Aframe sign that says Food Truck for the opposite traffic.
Good job. Why don’t you install a sign sticking out on the back of the truck so other drivers can see it while driving.
heyy, i actually bought 2 big flags that say burritos and tacos i put out near the road now
Where did you get those lights from? What about the under glow lights?
the flood lights i got at home depot, i ordered. under glow lights from amazon and they send me a bag of flowers haha so i need to reorder them.
where you get lights from and how are they controlled or connected
the lights i got from home depot, i hard wired them to a plug so i can unplug them and they are also controlled but a remote if they are hard wired to a switch
Where are your Located? I should be a great helper to any Brand but yours especially, I think that would be pretty cool too thanks
Long Island, NY
Anybody have any advice on if building a food trailer or buying one already made is cheaper than the other.
buying a used one would be cheaper then building one new
l"want this
I was confused by the name until I read the “about” section. You should change it to Turboritos! Your current name reads as Ter-burritos instead of Turbo-ritos which I’m assuming is how you want it pronounced. 😊
I'm thinking of buying a food truck seen a lot on ali baba do you know if there any good really looking for advise from someone whose done it
i wouldnt buy any off line, check them out in person and look up reviews on the builder. you might be able to find a used one for a decent price
Where or how did you find the people who work on your truck?
i have many friends in all different trades so they help me out. if you dont no anyone and r friendly with any food truckers in your area you can ask them who they use
Good evening I nee
Where do you dispose your water waste?
local cesspool companies can pump your truck. its grey tank water which u can dump in drains
I didn’t notice a POS. Are you cash only?
we use square , it connects to the phone. we also take venmo & zelle.
you ate the profits
hahaha taste testing
Can anyone tell me where I can get a truck like best deal genuine one
