There are definitely forests I’m uncomfortable in. We have a sixth sense/ intuition for a reason. That being said sometimes a forest road is just a forest road. But trust your gut.
Hi there, not sure if it necessarily the right thing to do, but I wipe everything down with WD40 and relubricate the chain with a DuPont wax based chain lube 👍

Wish i was riding. I have the same bike. Here in Ontario Canada we have 8 inches of snow and its -10 C. Lol can't wait for spring

What handguards are you using?
They are Acerbis X-Factor Handguards, they work great and were easy to install 👍
