actually its takes much longer than what cg nerd is doing here. this is an incredibly simplified asset. 90% of all crowd work is in the assets and making those work. setting up and simulation is pretty quick.
When I do the Randomize Clip Time in the Crowd Source, my character walk then pop back to first frame pose and play again, so they are popping not looping. Any ideas? Thanks!
I never played with crowd simulation because I thought it would take too much time, you prove it's not complicated at all. Thanks!
I thought the same thing for a very long time! Thanks for the feedback!

i love this little model
I never used Houdini being a compositor, but it looks easy, now practicing is the main part for me.. but it gave such good idea on how it works..
Practice definitely helps and I feel makes the difference in success with these skills.
@@CGINerd i have used same technique, it worked on second attempt.. cool
super clear and fun to watch, thank you
I am so happy that you found it clear and fun to watch!
@@CGINerd Yeah i've been doing some crowds recently and its always nice to watch the method done by someone new

More along these lines are definitely coming.

Super useful. Thank you!
I am happy you found this tutorial useful. You are very welcome.
@@CGINerd I tried this with a built in character (Mocap Biped 1) but I could not get the locomotion to work using these steps. Any ideas why not?
@Nicholas Boughen I have not tried using the built-in character before. I will have to try it out and get back to you.
Great tutorial! Can you either supply your fbx file you're using or recommend one to use? thanks
