I've noticed that as well. It might be that a tone has been set almost as if he talks with guests at a coffee shop. Is that why it's dark? Are they disguising the fact conversation happens at a coffee bistro?

Yep. You can count me among the pencil necks who're absent any experience to even begin living vicariously through this man's recollections of a reality that remains half a world away because of men like Richards keeping it at bay.
I got out in 2016. Part of therapy for PTSD was to talk and spend time with the older vets. I still do it now not because I “have to” but it’s honest pleasure to. The very few WWII vets and many Vietnam vets I have talked to made me realize what a huge difference between generations.
That stash is camouflage in winter condition or rocky terrain, it helps him stay afloat it also distracts enemies in close combat. He can also cut it and use it in dire times to start a fire as it will dry quickly …

Jocko I’m 14 and determined to go into the seals it’s what I’ve wanted to do since before I could remember and I do say to myself I will be a seal and I’m determined everyday either during my workout or in my school work it’s also nice to have a dad who is ex marine recon so I’m kind of already preparing tacticly. Now I do understand it takes body spirit and mind. Is their anything you could say to me to just inspire me more I guess. Thanks for everything ur awesome.

I had the pleasure of working with a Nam SEAL, Jim. Just an outright gentleman, one would never have guessed. Two jobs later I made a cold call and met another former SEAL, Dave, who brought up the first one's first name, where I replied with the gent's last name - so we both knew each other knew him. Anyway, this new guy tells me that Jim made it through most weeks of SEAL indoctrination with a broken jaw. I was floored. Anyway, the reason for my diatribe is that I bet Admiral Richards knows those guys, and worked with those guys.
That is one hell of a mustache.
