Love this Channel! My wife and I are 30 and you guys are living our retirement dream! Keep the awesome trips and videos coming! Next time you are in south Florida a inter coastal house tour video would be awesome!
Thanks for watching. We started thinking about this dream when we were 34 years old, after a ride around Manhattan on a Hatteras. Took us a while to get here!
Ed and Lyn, thanks and great seamanship what a great trip - your so much more aware of all those maintenance items that require addressing than in the early days - that’s what makes great seamanship - Kind Regards love - Australia
Thanks for joining us! We can't wait to get back on the water and continue the journey. We have a few videos coming up where we took three boats down to Annapolis and Baltimore. Other than that, I think we will be doing a lot of "project" videos this winter.
Another great video. Welcome home. What a great adventure. Being from Delaware, it was great to see you in the C&D, and passing Wilmington on the way to Philly. Hope to following your footsteps - soon.
Next time you’re in Key West, when you leave set your course to 360 and stop in Naples. Great protected anchorages in Naples Bay. Then you head up to Fort Myers, then across FL thru Lake Okeechobee and on to Stuart. Nice variation to your cruise and tons of bars, world class restaurants, and sights to see. Love the channel and have been binge watching for the last two weeks.
Awesome the trip was a good one and even more Pleased it was trouble-free that's Down to the Crew of course looking after the boat before the trip thanks for sharing
Us too! However, we plan a lot of videos over the coming months. We helped a couple of people buy and transport their boats, and we have a bunch of upgrade and electronics videos we will be doing.
I know you been home for a couple months but welcome back. I used to live in a big city, moved to the country 30 years ago and wouldn't trade it for nothing! See ya in the next one!
Thanks for sharing this trip - Loved every video you put out - cant' wait to the trip myself in a few years - stay safe and can't wait for more videos from you guys!!!
I’m on my trawler in Carolina Beach just south or Wrightsville Beach you should stop in next year on your trip and see the town! I think it’s right up your alley! I would love to hear some of your adventures and favorite places! Awesome videos, keep them coming!
I’m right at the marina where the intracoastal turns right into snows cut heading south. It’s the only fuel dock in CB but they will let people tie up there for a night or 2, Carolina beach yacht club. Not the nicest for amenities but a $5 golf cart taxi gets you to all the fun on the island!
For some reason I didn’t get notified when this video was posted. Either way great job Ed on 3000+ miles of great trouble free navigation. I thought you sold the Carver though? I heard mention of maybe taking the smaller boat on a trip, unless you bought another 😉
Salt-Away is a magic sauce for salt on the Boat.... spray it on... leave it sit for 5-10 mins and hose it off. All the salt is gone and you Brite work looks great. West Marine.... or Amazon. Biodegradable. Also can be used on the salt side of your Xchangers. I run it through my outboard’s... keeps salt from forming on the exchanger surfaces. Congrats on your journey.... Wishing you many more in your future!
Like the new intro 👍👍 enjoyed your video. I've enjoyed watching all your videos ,I've been a long time supporter of your channel👍👍👻😀 this is something I've always wanted to do 👍👍 have a great day 😀👻
Having gone through the CD numerous times it's very hard not to stop at either Schafer's or Chesapeake city. Depending on if you want crabs at The Tavern or if you need fuel you go to Schafer's. Then I would also have say seeing the WW bridge you know you are almost home and you can RELAX.
We stayed right about at your slip at Penns Landing and found that at low water the wakes from passing boats beat us up with the waves coming under the dock through the pilings.
We do not actually get wakes from passing boats. However, there are large wakes whenever the tide changes, around 4 times a day, where it feels like a giant tug boat just passed by. They usually last just a minute or two and can be very rough.
Another great video. Glad another safe and enjoyable trip. You may have mentioned this before and forgive me if I missed are you playing the new intro music? Thanks for the best boating content.
Yes. We want to do the Loop some day. Although, we are concerned about a low bridge in Chicago, I believe we can make it under if we remove our radar antenna.
60 yr Md native and have been boating that entire time, we’re not scared of a little rough water and really what you were in is a weekly occurrence, that’s not even close to Chesapeake rough.
Love your travels. We just finished cruising the Cumberland River for 8 days and ended up with the same bow mustache. Do you have a secret formula to remove yours? I have used ON/Off in the past. Also, about how many hours a day do you run your generator? I think we run ours too often just to keep the fridge cool and a couple other things operable. Our inverter setup cannot handle the full sized fridge. Thanks for your help! We are newbies on a 48 Jefferson.
We have used On/Off, and when out of the water, toilet bowl cleaner works well. We run our generator about 8-12 hours a day when underway, or over night. Mostly to keep the refrigerator cold and air conditioning at night. Our inverter is not working. Only putting out 40 volts. I might buy another one this year.
Thanks so much for the info. I’ll have to try the toilet bowl cleaner as well. I just used On-Off and it worked like magic. I diluted it, put it in a Scott’s pump spray can and applied it. The second it hit the brown, it turned white. Stay safe friends and let us know if you ever get down to Nashville, Music City!
Hey Guys, great season. Looking forward to next year. Curious what the time frame was. 85 Days, guessing you left right after tax season? So back in end of June?
Hey y'all just found this channel and love it... I'm seriously considering this lifestyle and I'm shopping for insurance, do you by chance have a recommendation? Thanks
We use Boat US (Geico) but are not happy with them. Our rates have tripled in the past four years. If it wasn't for having to resurvey, we would have dropped them this year.
You guys should go down to Lewes DE , then stop at Indian river marina, then down to sunset Marina in Ocean city Md, They are open, I would call ahead for a transient slip
@@tryingnottosink9107 Yes, Right in town Lewes has a marina, And The Indian river marina is about a half hr to 45 mins south , that one is big, over 265 slips I believe, A Restaurant on site, Then a hr south you get into Ocean city , The best and nicest marina would be sunset marina, followed by ocean city fishing center, then The white marlin marina.
Why do you nose into the slip vs backing into it? I'm 32 and just bought a 45' Hatteras sportfish in Boston and piloted her back to VA. Getting ready for a Bahamas run now that she's home and getting comfortable docking and operating her.
Love the new intro. Thank you for giving us some sense of normalcy.
You are so welcome! The intro seems to be going over well so far.
Agree with this! Great new intro guys!
GREAT episode! These are very inspiring as I search for my next (bigger) boat for Great Lakes cruising!
Thanks for watching. We are glad you liked the video.
Glad you got back safely, glad you didn't have any major issues, and glad you had fun! Thanks for the video!
Us too! Thanks for watching!

Classy AF to do a vid with USS Olympia in the background.
Welcome back. Great trip, and congrats on the 3 months of clean sailing and no maintenance record!
Thanks! We are very happy about that as well!
Glad you’re home safe and sound. My youngest daughter just moved down to Philadelphia. We were down visiting her last month and had a great time!
We live in the suburbs but we love Philadelphia. We spend a lot of time in Olde City and Rittenhouse.
Love you guys! I subscribe to dozens of channels and you are at the top of my list. Thank you for inviting us into your lives!
Awesome! Thank you! We have been slow to get videos out lately, but plan a lot more over the coming months.

Amazing times , we live in Washington State never have been to any of the place you guys took us to , thank you for letting us come on your journey !
Thanks for joining us! We can't wait to get back on the water and continue the journey. We have a few videos coming up where we took three boats down to Annapolis and Baltimore. Other than that, I think we will be doing a lot of "project" videos this winter.

Awesome trip, happy you all made it safely back! Look forward to the next one out. HA :-)
More to come! Thanks for watching!
awsome stuff thanks!
Glad you liked it!
I love your J Villa tracks.
We love her music as well. I really wanted to wrap up the trip by signing off to her song, "Supernatural", which we used as an intro last year.
I enjoy the video’s I’m often flying over Triton in Chopper 10
We are glad you enjoy them. I'll wave the next time I see you fly by! 😁

There use to be a helicopter landing pad adjacent to Schaffer's Marina on the west side
I like your channel.
I wouldn't be caught dead wearing those high water pants, Ha
Nice to have you back after the longest tax season in the history of man!
And my largest payroll expense ever!
Great new intro!
I'm glad you like it. We seem to be getting good feedback on it. You never know how well a change will go over.
Along with others, the New Intro works well...All the Best.
Thank you 🙂
That's the only view of the Chesapeake bridge I like lol

You got that right!
Another great video. Glad another safe and enjoyable trip. You may have mentioned this before and forgive me if I missed are you playing the new intro music? Thanks for the best boating content.
Thanks. No, it is just some music I picked up through Sound Stripe.
Thanks for sharing your travels

Yes. We want to do the Loop some day. Although, we are concerned about a low bridge in Chicago, I believe we can make it under if we remove our radar antenna.
Trying Not To Sink, make sure your tanks are full for extra safety
Can’t wait to take that trip!! Ridley marina to Chesapeake, Summit nNorth and Schafers, my boat it only 20ft cuddy cabin . Did you say 7hrs 40miles
We typically cruise around 10 knots.
The backdrop is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Olympia_(C-6)

I believe it! We have been down the Chesapeake many times but the worse we have seen has been 5 footers,
Rust is normal ... to remove apply any cheap toilet bowl cleaner let sit a few minutes, rinse and wax. Safe travels

I've used "iron out" rust stain remover, comes in a powder, buy it at the grocery store in the detergent aisle works great.
Larry DiCenzo thanks Larry!

I believe that is where the shore power connections are ?
Our power cables are in the bow. We have side connections as well but the bow cables are much easier to use.
Saw that link didn’t work...
It’s called Skyco Ospho.
what is your average and max speeds on your boat?
Were you in miami area
Not since last July.
does the boat have auto pilot?
Yes. And we use it all the time!
I love your St Augustine distillery shirt. In my very biased opinion, they make the best gin in the world.
We always stop there on our trips. In fact, we are opening a bottle of theirs tonight.
