Four years have passed since I produced the original "100 Years of Montana Farming" and now I've finally made a successor! "Welker Farms 2016" is a captivating look into our farming season. I've put off making a video of this size for some time as it is very difficult to film and farm. I tried my best to keep the video under 10 minutes but with so much footage I just couldn't. I hope you enjoy and feel free to comment and share! Like my page at Facebook.com/welkerfarmsinc
CyberLink's PowerDirector 15 worked miracles! It's come a long way since my first experience with PowerDirector 9. Extremely stable and user friendly. Nothing is more frustrating than fighting editing software and I can honestly say it was a pleasure using PowerDirector 15.

A beautiful sight! People living on the coasts, many of which who frequently sneer at "flyover country" and the great prople living and working there, have no hope of ever understanding why this slice of heaven is referred to as the Heartland. May God continue to bless middle America!
The dog rides on the fender, he must love it!
2020 he still rides
LOVE YOU GUYS!
I grew up operating Raygo Wagners out here in Northern California, they were the predecessor to the Big Bud's. Im 53 now and watching your iron run hard like this in Gods country brought such a huge smile to my face, memories of the long days in the field were some of the best of my entire life, I miss it immensely! I will share these videos with my son Spencer and share some lies about Dad and my youth!
If you ever need a good hand who knows these inside and out come Spring or fall give me a call! Id love to visit you guys!
+Jerry Ferdun Thanks so much for the kind words. Before my time we had wagners on the farm here and the series 1 Bud we have is pretty much a big Wagner. Glad you enjoy the videos, they are lots of work to produce but always worth it in the end. Definitely send them to your son. There may come a day we need more help, for now we seem to have it covered but this might change.
Nick is still answering and loving some comments 2 years later. WHAT A LEGEND
I try! But the past two videos I haven't hardly done any, bad Nick!
lol You tell me a discord with 400 people is alot to manage. Look at you with over 100k people to answer haha
large scale num num production. that dog is a boss.
Haha yes he is, pretty much the boss of the farm:)
Whoa! BIG TIME farming! Great video!
Thanks Charles!
The dog standing outside the tractor watching the orizont, simply amazing !
Reguards from Italy
They are fearless and very loyal! It is hilarious to see him ride along, he enjoys it very much! Greetings from the USA
Montana. BIG SKY COUNTRY!
Back in the day I worked in the oil patch of Alberta. Hauled LPG (Winter) and anhydrous ammonia (Spring) out of Medicine Hat through Wild Horse Crossing into Montana. Also out of Crows Nest through Sweet Grass and Roosville into western Montana. Big beautiful country, with people's hearts just as big. Great channel with high quality video. Congratulations. subbed.
That's really cool! So you're very familiar with the country around here. I've spent some time around Alberta and Medicine Hat, beautiful country. Thanks again!
Did you guys ever even dream that this video would lead you down the road you are on today? WOW!
I love the part with the dog on the fender and you guys have HUGE fields
Personally, in my opinion, the big buds are the most amazing tractors. I'd love to have a drive in one. You're living the best life.
I appreciate how your family acknowledges the Lord in your videos! Can't farm without Him!
You know me, coming back to this video. Feeling nostalgic when there wasn't a Welker map and I always watched this video over and over again :P
Edit: Nick is STILL hearting comments till this day on a 3 year old video! WHAT A LEGEND
it's a good video
I live in south-west Germany and for me your farm is really impressive. I can't imagine how far you can see in such a flat landscape. Where I live you can't even walk 50m without having at least a 1m height difference. Funny thing is, that our 3m drill in our largest field would probably still look bigger than your huge ass one in your smallest field. Keep the good work up!
Yes! Different land!
Nice to see the Big Buds again. I was a field mechanic for many years and started working on Big Buds in the late 70s. We had alot of them in Kern County.
Thanks for sharing this Nick ... you guys are so blessed with big, clean, open paddocks. I really appreciate seeing your part of the world.
The scale of that operation is amazing
Love how the dog just lays next to the cabin.
Zachary Wade ikr:-)
I keep on finding myself back at this video again and again and again. Great video!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it so much! I'll make some more:)
me too
That was just incredible ! When I come over to the States I often look down when flying over and I'm amazed at the vastness of some of the fields. We have some large fields here in England but not just huge field after huge field !
Thanks for taking the time to make such a great video.
Thanks Lord Muck! I've never been to the EU but I have seen some areal photos and it does look a lot different than here. There are some farms here and in Canada that have several thousand acre fields! But I also hear the Australia has even bigger, so I guess it is all in perspective!
Welker Farms Inc yes here in Aus there is a saying if you farm less than 20000acres your just a hobby farmer...
+MrEnroh it's amazing! Our farm started out with 160 acres back in 1912. Times change!
Watching this agian in 2023 and its still fackin awesome
WE HIT 1 MILLION! I remember this as less than 50k! Back when I watched this video over and over again dreaming for a farm sim map! Now we have it today! Whenever I hear the song i think of when I tried to recreate stuff exactly and now we have it all! Same map and equipment pretty much!
I've seen the Big Buds on RFD-TV but have wanted to see them working . They are amazing to watch hooked up to seeders.
Thanks.
Good lord.....That dog makes me jealous... Wow!!!!! Just a thing to see. Love the music~~~
Haha! Thanks Bill, yes Coby is a lucky dog! The other dog is always inside the cab, he's even luckier!
Glad you like the music, I spent a lot of time weeding through songs:)
Ya great music, ties into the scenery and action very nicely.
Bruh, that doggo just chilling on the big bud kills me😆
Thats Koby the farm dog for ya
Great to see the big buds in action, where I come from we only use small equipment
+Traxion Production They have a lot of years ahead of them on our farm:) small equipment still gets the job done!
This farm has been going at it for over 100 years! Keep up the good work nick!
Those big tractors just give me goose bumps. The first one I was ever around was a big Case at a friends farm in Indiana. I was 10 or 11 and I just sat in the cab for like an hour. lol
+James Kinkead That is awesome, not sure what it is about big tractors but they are just memorizing.
wow, it's really cool to see this many big buds working on 1 farm
Glad you enjoy them!
Well, I am from the Netherlands and the size of your fields from what it looks like is like the size of NL. This is just crazy
If I win the lottery, I'll come work for you during the summer. This looks so relaxing. Just enjoying life in the cab of these beautiful machines
Cool video, with big tractors, a funny dog, cool drone view, and a fantastic time lapse in the ending.
Farming Simulator 17 brought me here, be cool to see Welker Farms be a mod map in the game as well.
+ISAFMobius18 That would be awesome, haven't been approached by giant yet but maybe they will. I know someone who is building their own custom map of Welker Farms. So far they have a basic outlay of our buildings but I haven't seen any updates in awhile.
ISAFMobius18 Farming Simulator 17 brought me here too. Can't wait to get the Big Buds in the game next month.
ISAFMobius18 lol FS17 brought me here too.
2:16 coolest dog ever
Hi Nick, Just come across your channel. You are doing a really nice job with the editing and filming. Plus i love the Big Buds. Looking forward to more.
Some breathtaking pictures!
Thank you!👍🏻
Your fields are much bigger than ours in Germany!
Greetings from Germany!👍😃
+claas fan ever since chemical fallow hit the scene, fields keep getting larger and larger. I would love to see Germany Farms some day!
Welker Farms Inc
In Germany are too much citys and towns between the fields. In east Germany the fields bigger than ours in south Germany.
The hils in germany are also a problem, in our region a field is large if it has 5 to 8ha, the most have only 3ha or smaller.
Sauerländer Landwirtschaft
Ach du auch hier!😀
claas fan ja klar gute Videos muss man gucken;)
I've watched this video 100 times never gets old
Wow! Thanks!
I think iv watched it more :)
Prachtig wat een tractoren geweldig om te zien Het lijk mij ook geweldig om daar mee te mogen rijden werken
I live in Illinois, and it's odd seeing roads without ditches! I guess it's because you guys don't get as much precipitation out there? I enjoy your videos! Keep up the great work!
First-class video, thanks for the upload .... so good !!! The dog does a good job :)
Much appreciated! The dogs run the show!
1:20 the dog on the tractor, that’s awesome!!!
Absolutely fantastically AWESOME movie 😉👍. Thank you for sharing a small part of what you do for all of us 🍨🍦cheers.
Thanks Creedy! Glad you enjoy the movies!
The high shots with the drone, really gives me the feel how big the farm s!
That's a good trained dog, just sitting on the fender lol
He is a good boy, Coby is his name. Didn't even have to train him to do that, just loves to ride and jumped up one day! His spoiled brother is inside that cab lol.
I know this was a while ago but I still just love to watch these monsters work
Thanks! They are awesome!
Love the big buds they are cool and I love that u guys take care of them and keep them up and going
Great video of an awesome farm!! Love seeing the big buds in action. I know you have a ton of work in all your videos not to mention the farm but the quality shows! Love all your videos of your great farm in great country! Good luck and GOD BLESS YOU ALL. From an itty bitty farm to yours.
Thanks for watching! It does take a lot of work but it seems everyone enjoys them so much I'd better keep making them! God Bless you and your farm! Small or big every farm is awesome:)

You know, you have some real nice equipment there for sure but, the dog riding on the tractor with his face in the wind, smiling, had to be one of the greatest shots I've seen in a while. Thanx for sharin'
Cobie is a stAr
You live in the middle of nowhere and that’s what I like
Wow just a lot of awesomeness in this video.
A very nice Video. Your BIG BUD Tractors are unique, with these great Agricultural Machines and great flight shots. Greetings from (Mountain - Republic) Austria.
Very very big farms wonderful
I've actually cultivated this field on Farming Simulator 17 and it took me a good hour to 2 hours to finish the entire thing, so I can't even imagine how much time it really takes for you guys to do this...
Criminal Justice same dude
Criminal Justice do you have FS19?
@@sameutsler945 Yes I do. And I love it! Wbu man?
Cultivation is so 1970s zero till my friend
Criminal Justice
I used to do Dry land farming around Bozeman and Three Forks. Thanks for what you do1
That's a beautiful area!
Outstanding video - obvious you put a lot of quality time into your work - keep um coming
2:19 arguably the coolest dog ever

+Bill Kleist Thanks Bill! And I can't believe I know you too! Wait.... Did you just call me a wussy??

Those big buds look so good
Thanks!
Yes they do
Super video!
It amazes me what technology has done with farming.
It is constantly changing!
one of the best videos ever made great job it has become my favorite
Good choice on the song.
I love this video so much. Big Buds are as American as they come
I love farming....I m also a farmer....from India with love. You are amazing guys.
Would love to ride around with one of your guys in the cab for a day, beautiful land, and equally beautiful machines!
Thanks! They are noisy and dirty but lots of fun to operate!
Good film very beautiful big bud
That's the big buds I'm going to have Nick
I love seeing those big tractors work and pull all that weight
Those aircarts are realy small tho there are wayy bigger carts out there
Very stark land vast open spaces. Impressive machinery
god dang nice equipment
I did this for about 4 seasons.. 16 hour days sitting in a tractor will break you.. I was driving around talking to myself and never wanted to do exercise more.
now this video is a hard core fashion statement for seeding --- very well done and very impressive operation:))))
thanks again for your time keep the asome videos coming...
Thanks, I'll do my best!
That is the kind of life I wish I was living
I love the dog that sits on the mud guard outside! whats his/her name?
He's hilarious, rides along until he sees something to chase like a rabbit or coyote, then he jumps off and takes off running. His name is Coby. We have another boarder collie who is lazy and rides in the cab.
I absolutely loved this video! I especially liked the time progression of your wheat field in its various growth stages. Wonderful video!!...keep 'em comin'! :-) Thanks Allen
+Allen Hrubes Glad you enjoyed it! I will hopefully have more in the future!
Nick, you have made some great videos: but I must say, this video is the best! Long live the Welker Farming legacy.
Thanks!
I'm just a guy that plays farming simulator! This is crazy. There is a Big Bud DLC coming to the game!!
Yeah I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ofsoski PlaysMC that's why I'm here as well!😂
I have high respect for farmers. It makes me sad to see the city just spread into the country side. Where my Aunt and Uncle live it is extremely obvious that it used to be country side. It has the type of roads you'd expect and most of the homes are your typical country side homes except all around are housing complexes.
Fantastic video, well done.
Awesome Big Buds! 😍👍🤘
Cant wait till they add the 3 Big Bud tractors to Farming Simulator
+AJ Deere T680 It should be pretty sweet!
I also heard those Big bud tractors aint all thats going into the game.
I also hear that they might come with Big Bud tools aswell such as Big Bud branded Cultivators, Plows and Seeders.
They are gonna have the exact flexi coil equipment
The dog riding on the front fender of the tractor is AWESOME. The driver of that tractor is a good person. The dog trusts the driver to ride on the front fender. Never trust anyone that a dog is wary of, dogs sense bad/evil people.
Your content is amassing deep it up love the videos you make
incredible time caption photography this is very well done
This is sick! Dream life man!
Thanks!
Keep the good work up
Thank you!
Wow, I LOVE your videos!
High quality stuff here Nick. Wtg.
