You should make like a 10 foot 3D version of your logo made out of the scrap metal you have laying around to put out in front of the farm place. Also very cool that you have enough room to hold on to all the old equipment, etc. for future projects, spare parts, and just reminiscing about days gone by!

Like many have said before, that versatile would be a good project. Could be used to pull a cart or as a dedicated tow tractor for when the buds hit mud. Paint it white and call it "BIG MUD" keep up the awesome videos and you and legarms are an epic duo on camera.
I loved the 54 Dodge. We had one on our farm when I was a kid. Ours was used for hauling slabs from our sawmill to a chipper where the slabs were chipped up and used to heat a factory.
Thanks for the tour fellas. You have lots of iron there. Amazing how far technology has come and it's really amazing what kind of machines and were used to work the thousands of acres back over the years. A true testimony to hard work and ingenuity!
My grandpa had a pickup that is nearly identical to that 73 Ford F250. It was a 76 F250 Highboy with a 360, 4 speed, and a flatbed. The icing on the cake is that pickup was also used as a sprayer truck. I pulled it out of the graveyard a few years back to use around the farm. You guys should do the same! Those highboys are gaining value fast.

That VERSATILE would work very well along side the BIG BUD's. Yes, it would take time and quite a bit of work, but it would be worth having a second large articulated tractor on hand for the big jobs so you don't wear the other equipment down too quickly.
That's great guys. Love all that old equipment you have. Being into old tractors the model L Case's the WK40, the 2 Minny Mo's, the TD18 and the F12 Farmall all interest me. Love the old iron! nice video you now have told the world what you have also the big one you mentioned metal robbers well you have now shown them what you have watch out now for more old metal thieves GB
Hours could be spent walking through all that machinery !! Some very nice vintage restoration projects ... would be great to see the versatile role again 👍
It needs an engine and transmission and that is likely going to cost $50,000 or more unless we can find a steal. The tractor needs work done to it too but overall it is in pretty good shape.
I'm going to tell you what that took a lot of time a lot of walking but it was worth every damn step!!! Every piece of equipment every piece of scrap tells story it's your history lot of people could care less to them is just junk but to a farmer it's priceless because it tells the story of your life.... There just aren't enough words in the English language or enough time to cover everything that you covered but I loved every foot of that video from an old Michigan farmer thank you for a trip down memory lane ;-)
We would love to if time and money allow. To restore that tractor, needing an engine and transmission... We would need a good $50,000 at minimum and 3 or more months of work. Hard to justify given our limited time and budget.
@@WelkerFarms Sure, I understand. Money and time is always the limiting factor of restoring such an expensive vehicle. But you've restored lots of machinery and you are doing a great job on each of those Vehicles.
An old new Holland TJ series tractor or older case steiger will relinquish the engine and trans you want? I'm a new Holland fan but they're far from rare Certainly round here anyway

That VERSATILE would work very well along side the BIG BUD's. Yes, it would take time and quite a bit of work, but it would be worth having a second large articulated tractor on hand for the big jobs so you don't wear the other equipment down too quickly.
You should make a video restoring the Minneapolis Moline. My grandpa that passed away a couple years ago had tons of em. He loved them and so do I!
Walkers, I'm so jealous of your shop! I've got so many projects for a lathe like that. The IH Eagle is very beautiful too!
That's great guys. Love all that old equipment you have. Being into old tractors the model L Case's the WK40, the 2 Minny Mo's, the TD18 and the F12 Farmall all interest me. Love the old iron! Really like your R110 IH truck as well. I have 1954 R100 that my coworker and I worked a deal out on that needs all restored. So much neat stuff you have there. Stinks that you have to watch it like a hawk due to people having sticky fingers.
Thank you! Yes thieves are terrible and for the longest time the machinery was spread across the farm in areas no one could keep an eye over. But we changed that.
Would love to see the versatile restored along side one of the big buds planting.
Thank you for the wonderful video :) huge respect for the hard work that brought you from 1912 to 2019, God is good and always provides.
Awesome video indeed.Lots of great equipment.Old and New.Welker family are very smart.Always putting parts from one thing to another.I mean geez i wouldnt know how to do any of that stuff yall do.Restoration on different equipment.Keep up great videos.Amazing farm family.Hope yall have a great harvest this year.I cant wait to see those harvestors in action with those 45 footers.Beauties.👍Take care guys.
nice video
you now have told the world what you have
also the big one
you mentioned metal robbers
well you have now shown them what you have
watch out now for more old metal thieves
GB
That Versatile is super cool!! Like you said its probably not cost effective to fix it..but hey..you never know..
Nice lineup of equipment love seeing the Oder stuff still getting it done on the farm
There is a lot of history in your yards
Hours could be spent walking through all that machinery !! Some very nice vintage restoration projects ... would be great to see the versatile role again 👍
I love old iron, so many relics and goodies! Yes it would be a great day to see the 1150 run again
Welker Farms Inc would it take much to make it usable again ? Aside from the obvious gap under the bonnet ..
It needs an engine and transmission and that is likely going to cost $50,000 or more unless we can find a steal. The tractor needs work done to it too but overall it is in pretty good shape.
holy cow you have a lot of equipment and history there im saddened that some stuff was robbed you have a lot of projects there
I'm going to tell you what that took a lot of time a lot of walking but it was worth every damn step!!!
Please restore the old Versatile Tractore. Its a rare and beautiful tractor and it perfectly fits to your farm !!!
I'm a new Holland fan but they're far from rare
Certainly round here anyway
@@WelkerFarms I see a lot of comments about what to consider restoring and understand the $$$ needed to do so.
Why not do a little contest to see what the viewers would like to see you restore next and then perhaps a "go fund" page and/or some kind of promotion(s) to help raise the funds to do so? This way the farm budget is not taking a hit.
With over 200,000 subscribers and growing - you might be surprised @ the response. If everyone just gave a $1 which I know I have no problem with as an example...??????
I really enjoyed this particular video more than most as so much "fun stuff" around there from so many years.....
@@WelkerFarms I had a thought a while ago you guys could do some kind of camp for children or young adults a bit like that mechanics rehab... you would have all that stuff fixed in no time!
Back in the mid 90s my parents sent me to live with friends on a farm for a few months it was good to get away from town and spend some time In the country.
All that said tho these days you can't even breathe without someone trying to take you to court and that's in the UK
Y'all need a long slow rain that gives it a chance to soak in and not run off. Praying for rain for you and that bright orb in the sky to show up for than an hour here and hour there!
I don't even have to watch the vid to now it is going to be amazing
Well done lads, that was a fun video. Been following for a number of years but there was still plenty of stuff I hadnt seen before!!
Glad you got that rain you needed, looking forward to harvest and seeing the new combines running
Y’all got lots of good equipment, keep the videos coming!
Interesting to see the old scrap machinery
Your drone footage is insane
You have a very beautiful farm and I love playing it on FS17! I love your videos and from one farmer to another keep going.
And now it’s on Fs 19 and 22! I’m currently playing it on FS22
Great tour I collect old farm mach. Am 70 yrs old , am starting to sell all.
Great glimpse at equipment that we usually don't see. Thanks for sharing!
You should get an engine for the versatile and use it with your big buds
A 12v71... Screaming Jimmie!
yall are like kids in the coolest playground ever! with giant toys!!
So much possible restoration projects
There for awhile we were getting 1.5"+ every other day for like a month straight. Talked to my uncle today and he got a 1/3 of his acres planted. Not sure how many that is though.
It is so hard for me to visualize that volume of rain
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob This year has been pretty insane. But thats not even that crazy for us(if it wasnt every other day). If that was over a few hours and not all day our sewer systems would be overloaded. Few years back my city got about 9" in 4 hours. Thankfully I lived on a hill at that time. I dont want to think about that in my current house.
All those Dodges 😍😍😍
hello welker family....its time to bring this old equipment to sale it as 2 hand stuff...there is always somebody have intrest in this things...put some advertising there....that wil help ..or put it on the internet....goodluck from dutchfarmer netherlands...
Leg arms practicing his audition for tv. Lol future Barrett Jackson host
Awesome video ! Pretty cool to see the machines and vehicles from your past ! Good family values !
Nick next years project repower and make that Versatile work again even if you just have it as a spare
Ahoj CHLAPI !! krásně se kouká na déšť. Stejně je to i u nás. Sedíme pod střechou a kocháme se velikýma kapkama deště. Díky Pánu Bohu za každou !! Letos je to s vodou o hodně lepší než minulý rok . Pošlu Vám fotky spokojeného ječmene a jarní pšenice . Sklizeň tady začne cca za 2-3 týdny. Ať se daří !!!!
Naše dcera žije v Olomouci. Byli jsme tam v ZZÚ 2017. Milovat zemi i lidi. Požehnání
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob Pane otče děkuji za odpověď. Ať se Vám bohatě urodí!!
So if you restore those old tractors. You will never need to buy new tractors again.
Also are you guys considering restoring the IH dump truck to go with the restored IH Eagle?
You definitely have some fantastic old equipment there. Glad to see you have had some rain. Keep up the great work guys. God bless you all from over here in the UK....
In my opinion the dump truck deservs a restauration, wold love to see that! Tnx for another great vidio!
The farm tour was awesome lots of great relics and hope you guys restore some of that equipment, and show it being built
6:56 my dad has a 1959 Allis Chalmers D grader with a gas engine (the same engine as a WD45) and we use it regularly on our long driveway as well as take it to shows
My great grandfather had a 1979-late 80s Massey Fergusson 275 Its still in the family even though he's passed away
Great video. I love your appreciation of the past and older machines. You guys are like me, I have a lot of I’m going to do this and get this running some day projects. Just not enough hours in the day not enough money in the bank lol. That’s OK though we are fortunate and grateful every day for what we do have and life is good
