Great oarsmanship and beautiful video. I appreciate the lack of music - the sound of the wind and canyon are hypnotic. We did Lodore in 2018 and 19, both times in October. The second trip we towed out a day earlier due to the cold - 13 F mid day. A spectacular time to be there, though
Looks like . . . September or October(?) Trying to judge by clothes and the angle of the sun. Anyway loved the video - no cheesy editing or pounding music, which is kind of a nice change. Haven't done Lodore yet, but have done the Yampa twice - one of my favorite places. Thanks!
Janell! Nice footage and agree with those who say it's better without music - the music is the sounds of the canyon. I'm running it for the first time in July. Excited!!! What were you water levels?
Wow I have floated the green below the dam to the Colorado border but never past there looks like I had better do it looks amazing. Did you fish at all?
It is called "ferrying". Good oarsmen use the current to position the boat. Lodore is a beautiful canyon!!! I've done it a dozen times and Yampa a dozen more.
@@Raftingwhenicam Super! We find out in 2 days if our permit was chosen. So excited to do this trip. Last year we did 89 miles on the San Juan and it was life-changing!
@@daxcastro loved the San Juan. Did you draw the gates of ladore? We’ve done the main and lower salmon in sept. Amazing trips. We drew a 2021 early August gates of ladore this year.
@@daxcastro it’s tough! We’ve put in for middle salmon and gates of ladore, 6 of us each year and drew our first permit this year, you can do the main salmon after Labor Day without drawing, if you want someone to go with let us know we’d go again
Beautiful! Love the sound of the water too. Thanks for taking me along. I did not even get wet!
Oh my gosh you have to search far and wide to find anybody who’s ever heard of the canyon of le door I used to hunt that area very beautiful country

I love all your videos. I appreciate there is no music or narration. Just the river.
Where are you based out of?
The semi great state of Oregon.
Rafting is just something you do to get to the next camp. Anyway, just an opinion from someone with over 15,000 river miles.
Masterful! Fun to watch you do your thing

Did you run your own shuttle or hire it out? Can’t find a listed Dam to Split offering. Guessing I need to make some phone calls.
we hired the shuttle company/ outfitter out of Vernal dont recall the name.
Really pretty. Thanks for posting

How did you mount your camera?
I use a painters pole that I taped two loop end buckles to secure it , a go pro mount for bicycle handle bars.
Great! Thanks for the info.

Just entered the lottery for this 🤞
Did you stay multiple nights in one place?
Do you think you could have done it in 6 days?
I cant remember if we did two or three lay overs. yes you could do it in 6 days. warmer temps will make you want to stay longer.
