How do you find that four seam grip when fielding during a game though? Won’t it take too long to locate the grip?
yes.
How about for 5 and 6 year olds that have to use an 11 inch ball in their rec league? All four fingers?
The pinky just hangs out on the side so technically 3 finger with pinky support.
Are you coaching that age?
They should learn on baseballs in practice and not be playing formal softball at that age. 5? Five is way too young for organized sports. It’s a waste of time and leading to kids being burned out and not having fun. How they hold the softball is the least of concern

I do. But I’m also not very good so 🤷🏻♂️
You certainly could but you’d have to have just gigantic hands
