Great video! And highly recommend all of this! I bought a $60 glove, $40ish cleats, and a cheap bat when I first started almost 3 years ago. I got a new bat about 1.5 years in, just bought a new 44pro, and looking at better cleats now that I play 3 nights a week.
I’m really thinking about trying softball. I always wanted to play baseball as a kid but my dad only let me play football and run track. Now I’m 26 and still want to play but I have very little experience. I was told that we have a local slow pitch softball league by a family member and now I really want to play. Thanks for the advice!
i played when i was younger, left it alone until i was like 32. its all about finding the right team. join a for-fun team to start. competitive teams have instant expectations that you wont be able to meet
@@redcanary7 I joined a local coed team. They’re some of the funnest people I’ve ever met. No big egos or anything just people wanting to have some fun. I didn’t know people brought coolers of beer to the practices too. Thought that was cool.
I am starting softball this year I got a 12 inch Easton impact but I'm playing outfield. So I need to get a bigger glove I got the 12 inch cause I've got small hands. I bought everything on eBay except for cleats I got those at a consignment shop for $5 they're New Balance high tops and had barely been worn. And I got a Worth Supercell bar it's 34 inches and a -8 it's a year 2000 I pulled the plastic of of a 23 year old bat
you can get many more bats that are better than the super cell bat you got....those bats were made for different balls and will not perform as well with today's ball....go get a Louisville slugger genesis model at slugger slowpitch and you will NOT be disappointed...It will cost 300 bucks but you will get the best bats in today's game....that supercell will be a relic in a minute.....buy good shoes and a good glove and practice practice practice...I am 61 and have been playing since I was 16

Great video
So we’re not supposed to buy $300 gloves off the bat?
Lol not when your brand new! Give it a season for the addiction to set in
If you want to buy the best glove on the market I say go for it! It's definitely not going to make you play worse lol
hey does it have to be softball? is there baseball for adults amateur?
Yes there is, baseball adult league
2 in the pink all day for gloves
any different tips for amateur fastpitch player?

Aren't the main fundamental rules of baseball the same as softball obviously not the exact rules
