Please keep in mind that I am not a professional builder, I created this self-build "Hybrid" Tiny House on wheels purely with the intention of having a cozy travel home for my Adventures. A sacred place that I feel safe in while on my Journey....

Misty is a "People Magnet". Everywhere I go people stop by to find out more about the building process and to peek inside. After about 4 months and over 4,000 miles of traveling, I have given hundreds of tours. I love watching people's faces light up with huge smiles as they enter and they usualIy leave with a fresh spark of Inspiration and Creativity. Misty is truly my COVID Art Project.

When I was a kid 75 years ago we used to meet up with a sheep herder in the mountains who had a wagon very similar to Misty! You did a beautiful job of construction her. Enjoy, Stay Safe!!

Your Vardo is the most well set up one I have ever seen!
So glad my family and I didn’t buy into the plandemic and lived our lives onboard our 44ft. trawler cruising around the Pudget Sound.

It’s a good thing you are a people person and enjoy the attention you undoubtedly receive while traveling with Misty. I am not and just driving around with a regular teardrop gets me all sorts of unwanted attention. I can’t stop to get gas or enjoy a scenic overlook without being bothered. Needless to say l don’t do tours. I wish people were more respectful of other people’s personal space.

All that hard work deff shows in the finished product. But...that's a very light duty single axle trailer with no brakes, suitable for hauling about 1000#. You have far exceeded the GVWR of that trailer which is not only unsafe for you, but also for everyone else on the road.
The max is 3,800 lbs, Misty weighs $3,500lbs, I had brakes and a new axle installed on the trailer for safety.

Why no window screens? What do you do about bugs? Where do you keep books? Lovely design though, you have a real eye for this stuff.
Thank you! I prefer to have a good air flow. If there are mosquitoes I keep the fabric blinds down, and the lights off as long as the windows are open. Never had a problem with bugs inside. I have cabinets up in the sleeping area, it also serves as a book shelf.

II understand you are a skillful, intelligent woman and I admire you! Surely, traveling alone, you must have taken precautions concerning safety. What are they?
Hi Bobbie, I have travelled the world for several years by myself, which felt much more dangerous than US road- trips, however, you never know what waits around the corner in life. The best thing to do is use common sense, and if something does not feel right it is better to move on. It helps to always be aware of your surroundings and I let someone know where I am and when to expect to hear back from me.
I saw the hookup under the sink for the water. I understand that. But, how do you hook up the propane? How does the actual wiring/pipes work? I feel so silly!
There are 2 quick connects outside, I did have the propane done by a pro, who connected my fridge and stove inside. Safety comes first, this is something I chose not to learn and ask for help.Rather safe than sorry

I have a portable propane gas heater and a Mark 2 portable AC that I can charge with my solar panels or in my truck while driving
How did the wood under the trailer stay dry? The base layer wood?
It is exterior pressure treated 2x4's made for decks and holds up well.
Where did you get the plans for your hut from?
There were no plans, I just started building it
I'm trying to see if my Subaru can pull such a beautiful thing as Misty! Do you know how much she weighs?
She weighs 3,600 lbs. If you have a regular Subaru it won't be able to pull it. You do not want to max out the capability of your engine.
What is the capacity of the trailer? I noticed it is only a single axle and most don't support 3,600 lbs.

you had to buy that big expensive truck to tow it ? That's a killer expense for most people trying to avoid the high rents these days.
It is worth it in the long run. A smaller truck would have towed it as well, but I did not want to max it out. It really depends on how much you travel.
