I'm very impressed with the job you did building Misty, especially being self-taught. I was saddened to learn that you couldn't find a contractor to install the solar panels and charger/inverter. As an electrical engineer, I know how easy that can be for a reasonably skilled technician. There must be a shortage of such people in your area. Your adaptability is one of your strengths and will ensure years of happiness. Kudos to you and your achievement!
You and misty are both great. I love the details you gave misty. You call it a gypsy wagon but it reminds me of a shepherd’s wagon and I think they’re beautiful and very efficient. Safe travels and look forward to seeing you again
Wow ! Misty is such a masterpiece. I love when people take action and start living their dream. You proved it YOU CAN IF YOU WANT. I hope you can travel a lot with her and Ralphie :)
I’m sorry to learn those people bailed out on you. But I think you have done an amazing job! Misty is beautiful! I love your scrollwork enclosing your bed & I love how you decorated with pieces from Morocco & India! It’s lovely & I hope you’re very proud of all you’ve done creating this wonderful tiny space on wheels! It’s gorgeous! The prettiest one I have ever seen! 😊
I really appreciate your "end notes" as I watched and considered your build, I kept thinking those things would be a really good idea. The dimensions, costs, time, products, insulation....all the details, including your struggles, really convey the work. Thank you for sharing
I'm amazed!!! What a beautiful job you did!!! Wonderful design and yes I even love the fabric you covered your cushions in! Everything turned out perfect!
Embedding an LED strip light under that epoxy, if it is translucent, would be a nice lighting effect for the countertop. Your truck could use some air springs to level the ride and ride safer. I'm impressed with your craftsmanship and ingenuity. (That's gender-neutral if anyone is sensitive)
Miss Stephanie, good video...... impressed with your character and energy and your attitude toward the build .....always a work in progess with a vardo...... any one who thinks they know everything when building is really telling a story. You did a "fine" job and "Misty" is definately an extenion of you !
You go girl! I'm in a wherlchair so cant do to much, but am blessed thet 3 of my boys can do all the work. They are going to use your design as inspiration to make my chicken coup into a little living space for me
I love your fabric, shopper Egyptian sink, your Moroccan lamp & mirrors, your light from India & the beautiful mandalas you painted on the shades & the scrollwork that encloses your bed! I love the rounded top, all your windows! Great for a cross breeze! Smart to put the hinges on the inside! 😉 And I love your barn door! It’s so gorgeous! What a happy place! 😊 My heavens, you even did your own sewing! Good for you! You’re immensely talented! May you have many happy years spending time in Misty with your sweet dog, Ralphie! 💕🌟
This is great, thank you. I am building a much smaller 6x7 German style "Schaferkarren" (shepherds cart) to use as a home office, and this video was a huge help. thanks again and best of luck .
thank-you for all this assistance - i just had my dual axle 4 x 8 used trailer delivered yesterday. i'm going to make a smaller version for weekends but these ideas are very helpful.
This wagon! Now I know what I want for retirement living. Like you I will have to learn new skills, but my sister has remodeled and built additions on her home. Perhaps I need to buy the frame and park it in her yard while building and learning new skills!
Hello Stefanie Thank you for your videos, and also that of the construction of your tiny house, which I find very pretty, you did a very good job of construction, I also subscribed to your channel, I will follow you in your videos, you is a very pretty and enterprising woman for having built this tiny house on her own, thank you very much.
This is by far the best vardo wagon video build I have seen. So informative and I love the honesty of the process. Well done! Can I ask where you bought your trailer? I am in Washington state in the U.S and haven’t been able to find a single axel utility trailer with more than a 2,990 load capacity. Thank you in advance!
You have done an amazing job, and have a work of art, in Misty! I'm only sorry that a fellow artisan did not have the local resources to complete your electrical needs... Happy trails and beautiful vistas to you and Misty!
Wow, amazing Stefanie, Ralphie and Misty!! So hard to find new places that interest me. This morning I found TWO, you and, “Tiny House, Big Journey,” and I’m thrilled! I used to go Nomad for fun but since COVID, I went off grid, too many restrictions, can’t leave my province, let alone my country, without a TON of hassle now. I love groups like yours because I’m always looking for new space-saving hacks for my 16’x24’ tiny house that’s seems to be slowly expanding to a tiny shed village. Gahh, I have too, much, STUFF! It’s been very humbling but so rewarding in so many ways that it outweighs all the aggravations. Can’t handle the world now? Well change yours because we are the difference we want to see in the world. And on that note, cheers to Luke, we’d be nowhere without kind people like him. I’m sure he was happy to help after watching the build. Enjoy your journeys and stay safe Stefanie. Some day I hope to have my own Vardo and if it can look 1/100th as classy and beautiful as yours, I’ll be a happy camper. Apparently now I need TWO utility trailers. 🤷♀️🤣❤️🇨🇦
@@MyTinyWagon I WOULD need two if I went Vardo full-time, at LEAST. Nah, two utilities so I can do yard work on and then still have the second one to turn in ton a beauty like this, lol. This is wayyy down the road and may have just changed my retirement plans! Have to settle the off grid homestead first. Funny how we all dove into sanity projects through this pandemic. Your wagon will not only get you through that, but many more years to come. ❤️
I wish I could have installed your electrical for you . I know how hard it is to find an electrician that knows how to install DC systems in campers , vans , RV's . Wonderful job 💡😊🌞🌊
Deja vu: remembering my own challenges building a tiny house...and converting an high-top van to live in. Wth the van, I did what you did -- foot pump for water, and direct wired my solar genie to the panels using the cables that came with it all. Plug and play. At some point, you realize that less is more!

That is so exciting!!! I am sorry you had problems with the builder. I would love to see a pic!!! It is not so easy to find an insurance carrier for a homemade vardo. I did not get insurance, however, while towing, liability is covered by the car insurance.
This is so awesome! Approximently how much did this project cost? I was considering a "vardo" that did not have to function as a wagon and instead was basically a shed in the form of a vardo so it wouldn't need any of the appliances and was curious how much it may cost.
It cost my around $15,000, including appliances, the trailer and the installation of a new axle and brakes. So maybe $10,000 , however, lumber prices are much higher now…
Great job, I just bought a used pop up 10 - 7 ft and gutted it down to the trailer. I am drawing my plans and getting materials this week. I can’t wait to build it. Do you travel with yours? We are putting ours on our 15 acre homestead by the pond for guest or just to camp out in.
Wonderful video!!! Can you tell me where you found that window hardware at 13:05? Maybe I just missed that info when you were talking, but I'd love to get one from somewhere!
