@@AGRussellKnivescompany I'm not the original commenter you replied to, but I just wanted to mention that I picked up a bk18 Harpoon, almost got a 16, but decided to get the 18. And it's honestly amazing. I've used it a little bit for outdoors stuff - hope to get to use it a lot more. But the blade geometry and the overall shape is just fantastic. I already have a bk14 Eskabar, and I really enjoy it as well. It's just far easier to carry around, and I carry it almost daily now. But if I'm going on any kind of trip or to any kind of training where I know I'll be outdoors, It's the first knife I throw into my bag and later put on my belt. I'm definitely planning on picking up a Bk16 and a Bk2 later on, they're at the top of my knives-to-buy wishlist, but for now I'm really enjoying the Becker knives I have. I was a bit skeptical before, but now that I have a few, I see what all the fuss is about. My only complaint is that I wish the Becker knives would come with Micarta or G10 scales. I picked up some Micarta scales for my Bk18, and they're a very nice improvement in overall feel and grip confidence.
@@DevDog67 Nice! Thanks for dropping a comment and letting me know how the BK18 is doing! I haven't picked up an 18 yet, I was forced to slow down my knife purchasing for a bit (i may have gotten carried away haha). I do have the 16 and I love it, I take it on all my outdoor trips. The BK2 I also love, and I've beat the snot out of it haha. I've found it's just too heavy for hiking with though. I only keep it around camp. I do like the sheath though, which is why I still kind of want the BK18. I do like some Micarta. I think I prefer that it's an option just to keep the initial price point low - it makes it a great knife that's easy for me to suggest. I don't overly mind the hard plastic handles, they're decent. I just wish the micarta option was more widely available (they do tend to run out a lot). I don't think they have any G-10 scales, I believe there are some secondary market ones though.
Have the 14 and 16. Excellent tools for sure. I pair with an axe or hatchet instead of a big knife and know for certain that I can get any task accomplished.
If you make some scratches, with 100grit sandpaper on the becker handles, they start feel like mat micarta. I'm not kiding, I did it, it works more than fine. Just push with your thumb hard, on the plastic surface of these handles and feel it!! Awsome! Better than most micarta and all the G10 handles I have!
@@AGRussellKnivescompany It's the way I did it, which worked! Just put a smaller piece of 100grit sandpaper on and with your thumb, press a bit hard and scratch random 1/3d of an inch lines!

This was excellent and thank you both for your insight. I'm glad that your BK-16 is made in Olean which is close to where I live.
Great info in this video! Definitely makes me feel rad that I too love the 11/16/9 combo. So awesome. Thank you for posting this!
I've got almost all of Ethan's knives. I hope they never stop making them because they are that good that I want 2x+ of each.
Did you see the new Harpoon Bk-18? I may have to pick that one up too. - Jake

I would love to know what the scale on the neck knife is, it doesn't look like cordage and it's not the skeletonised frame. Any one with any ideas?
I'm leaning toward it also being the bicycle inner tube he had on the sheath. I didn't see his knife up close myself though. -Jake
wait a minute. its not ethan becker i was looking for wheres the art man
Don't you EVER threaten artists with ANYTHING LESS than a completely professional Ethan Becker blade
Now I have to buy another Becker
such great video and such low view counts. a silly batoning video simply reach a 90k view counts.

Hear hear.
Many of these kids(semi-men) don't understand this.
They think a knife's needed that can be batoned through a log to make a fire...
If Ethan Becker got into a fist fight with Ken Onion and Bear Grylls was referee, who would win? Wranglestar or Nutnfancy?
Not sure but I'd pay to watch!
Oliver Onions would win.
