Hey, will you guys talk about the Magnum Camp Knife? It’s my personal favorite. I’ve had one for 20 + years. I’ve never found a knife that is better!!! Thanks
QUESTION - When he says have these 3, obviously one of them is the Bk16, the large one appears to me to be a BK9, what was the small one he had in hand with them?
The BK9 used to come with a bonus companion BK13 which is a small, inexpensive 440A skeleton knife that fills that void for carrying a smaller companion blade and fit in the side pouch of the BK9's cordura sheath. I think KABAR now ships the BK9 with a fire starter instead. One half dozen or the other since then you don't need to buy a fire starter now and can choose your own choice of small companion blade.
This is an awesome knife, however, the coating on it and the crappy plastic scales make it much less of a value. If it came with better scales that had a little more grip and the coating was not present it would be my abolute favorite if that setup could be had for under $100. In addition, a D2 version would be also a nice edition.
The 16 is far one of my favs, but I cannot stand the Tan Sheath. Why doesn't Becker make one in Black or make an After-Market Sheath for the 16 in Black? I have asked about this for years and no one knows why!
@@EveryDayPreppersUSA Becker knives emailed me on my suggestions, sheaths, scales, color options, and they thanked me in a positive way. I think Becker knives is coming out with micarta
Sure, but was the BK 19 around 4 years ago when this interview was recorded? Either way, I'm with you: The BK 19 is an amazing knife for the money. I also have the KA-BAR USN so feel the BK-16 may be redundant, here.
@@applesbighatranch6906 I was just pointing out there's a better option. I think even the bk 19 is slightly over built. I think a knife 4.5" and under should have a thickness of about .14 ish to .1"
My bk16 is by far, my favorite production knife and has been on my belt far more than any other knife I own.
The bk 19 is even better
Just received my B16 today. Love it!
Will be receiving mine in 3 days. Cannot wait. Looking forward to many years of using it.

The BK-5 Magnum Camp knife was discontinued and we've sold out of them, so we're going to skip that one. Cool knife though 😀
But why was it discontinued, it seems to be a highly desired knife !?!

Man’s a national treasure
The bk 19 is the best between the 16, 18, and 19.
