@ also, I’ll stay on your Patreon for sure. The project files you upload is gold to me as I usually pick em apart and try to backwards engineer the process🤗 Lots of interesting stuff to learn from that…and sometimes also lots of frustration😅
Oh I’m so glad to hear that! That’s really the main reason I upload them and I’m not sure how many people take the time to pick them apart. The game controller thing is cool and all, but the secret sauce is definitely in the racks :)
@ For sure! I always work from a less is more principle and I’m currently in the process of downscaling even more which means getting rid of as many vst plugins as possible ( there is a few I won’t let go of; Reaktor, Synplant, Serum) and your tips and tricks falls right into this process!🙏🏻 Pure gold🔥
I’ll try to let him know! He’s been tangled up in a bunch of old cables for the past few days. I keep offering help but he just starts yelling at me 🤷♂️
The workflow is most interesting - distilled, constrained, immediate, scalable, dynamic. The sounds here are fire but don't see myself pursuing it. But I can see myself altering things to control, say, melodics. I stopped saying 127 vs 128 on the midi cuz I use launchpad controllers which have 29 steps so easier to say 130 or 30.
Probably not. I really don’t feel like it’s a good idea for anyone to be trying to learn jitter stuff from me yet. I am still so new to it. Check out Amazing Max Stuff, Hearing Glass, and Ned Rush for jitter stuff. :)
I'm so confused, it's not working for me. When I have the effect outside of the rack, I cannot hear the effect yet I see it being triggered by the envelope. I see the Dry/Wet increase momentarily but sonically there's no result. If I play with the dry/wet manually, I can hear the effect (e.g. reverb) OR if I put the effect in the same cell as the sound within the drum rack I can also hear the effect getting triggered by the envelope. Have you encountered this?
You know, I have encountered this. I’m still not really sure why this would be either. Like, without the envelope you can put an effect outside the rack, so why should the envelope part matter? It is indeed strange
@@userfriendlysounds Very. Anyways, I purchased your racks (awesome btw) and saw how you routed everything so I copied that way and it works just fine :)
@@userfriendlysoundsyeh you’re right it’s more stable in remote mode. Strange - at least we can open up the devices in max if it becomes too problematic
Really nice, never thought of using triggered modulation in a rack before, thanks
Genius. Idk how I never thought of this before but thanks homie!
Bought your rack when you released it and became a Patreon right after and it’s some of the best money I spend each month🎉
Thanks so much for the support! Did you grab UFGM? Or this new one ALSM?
@ I got the first one when you released it and I just bought ALSM😎👍🏻

Absolutely incredible work flow, been having fun making mine from scratch endless possibilities
I’m stealing this!
30:13 That's what I am really here for 😀 - and next to that, I always learn some cool new things from you 🙌
this is great stuff
Great video! Say hello to User Friendly. I hope he's okay on his cruise ship holiday 😬

@@userfriendlysounds Cool. Since yelling is more high-pitched, you might even be able to understand him 👍
this is sooooooo my shit, thank you

Hey would you please do a tutorial on max msp jitter on how you do your visuals?

Anyone else finding Envelope MIDI is kinda buggy? Like sometimes it drifts off and a parameter just stops responding properly. feels janky
Yeah I feel like it happens less in remote. But I do feel like it’s a bit weird sometimes
