Have you thought about just pre-recording portions for these marvel legends, since they refuse to fix any of the issues? You could just have like 3 pre-recorded segments for the different bodies and that'd cover like 99% of the figures they release.
I'd like that actually, just as an extra fuck you to Hasbro. I kinda don't think that most of their figures even deserve fair and individual reviews at this point, just lump them all together, except for the rare stand-out releases of course.

I agree with your critics, specially when you say that this is not enough for $25.
For $25 we need better sculpt, better articulation, better paint, extra head and extra hands.

It's such bullshit because we've seen what hasbeo can do for some fighters that are 20 dollars. Like the snake eyes was so well done and it's from Hasbro, not sure what's going on with these Marvel figures. They don't put in the same effort it seems

@@Zombub maybe we notice it more since the price increase haha. Usually since it's only 20 we over look certain things but now since it's 25 a lot of things aren't acceptable. I still feel like 20 is a lot for a marvel legends toy. I'm 30, so o grew up buying the toy biz marvel legends for 7 bucks at target and Walmart. I still remember paying 5 dollars for the symbiote spiderman. I have quite a few toy biz marvel legends figures still

Glad you and talkerart are talking how ridiculous these price hikes are. I'm buying fewer legends than ever because the price isn't worth it for the figure at all.
Most irritating is the fact that Hasbro already fixed those horrible low shoulders and with bigger and higher ones on Shang Chi figure yet they refuse to use those parts for any other figure an continue giving us this horrible mold.
I collect wrestling figures, they’re $23 retail, and personally I feel like they are a LOT more bang for your buck than marvel legends. Hasbro is definitely just being lazy/greedy with that price increase and lack of quality, sucks to see
Maybe just the Marvel team. The GI Joe line is other story. I dont collect Joe's but they have much better figures in the last two years overall.

I get why you score so many of the DC Multiverse figures badly and they have their own problems but when you look at the amount of unique sculpting, even if the paint sometimes betrays it, the idea that McFarlane can sell them for the same price (or LESS if you buy a figure that doesn't come with a BAF piece) is insane.

I nearly POed this figure because of the awesome effects, but then I realized exactly what you are talking about in this video. It's a solid black figure and that's it. They couldn't be bothered to paint the collar or the head crest, and they did the same with Siryn where the 1 head they include doesn't reflect their superpower or personality.
As a kid, I would have hated this wave. I wouldn't have been able to afford $75 for Siryn, Vulcan, and Darwin, and being a kid I wouldn't have known anything about these characters and then these figures do absolutely 0 to teach me about their powers or personalities. They don't come with bios anymore and without any accessories, these figures don't do a single thing that showcases who they are. These figures are so boring for kids and do nothing to spark their imagination. It's no wonder kids have zero interest in action figures today, when this is what the options are.
Man, I feel so bad for kids these days. I simply cannot believe that people are still defending these figures. I want to enjoy them and I want to love them too, but people need to get real with this line.
Also, I prefer Uncanny Avengers Havok and the pointed toe boot look. Just a shame that that figure is even worse than this one.
They literally have the new mold that's supposed to replace the Bucky-Cap IN. THIS. SAME. WAVE. Why the hell wouldn't you just use that?
It's funny because that same new mold isn't even that good to begin with. Sure it may look good in a neutral pose but the butterfly joints are almost useless and the ab crunch looks like a pizza oven when you put back all the way. It would have killed them to continue the sculpt so that this shit wouldn't happen. Plus I like how in past fan firsts the marvel team at hasbro talk about how they have the best engineers for their figures yet they couldn't go back on this mold and fix this shit. Hasbro is pathetic.

I had no interest in this figure but from the thumbnail i knew it was going to take a beating. Didn't disappoint.

Now that I've seen your video I am more convinced there is someone in Hasbro's comic based Brand line in charge of making decisions that they really shouldn't. Hasbro is expecting me to pay $40 (CAN+tax) for a buck painted black, a plain face, and some translucent accessories. I loved that you included Spawn and the Dark Knight at the end. It was good to see what else is out there at a comparable price. I am not compromising anymore by paying Hasbro's prices for Hasbro's lame products.
The all black costume is classic Havok. That's not really Hasbro's fault. Another head accessory would've helped. Luckily they don't make many of this particular version of Havok. Another great review 👍

In Asia these figures cost about roughly $30-$50 so no thanks to hasbro for reusing rubbish molds.

For the new and over expensive price point, these figures should all be coming with alternate heads and hands. Stoic look & alternate yelling/gritted teeth head sculpt. I'll wait for this to go on clearance cuz I'm an ol school X-Men fan & I only need him, classic Banshee and a classic Angel to be done with my classic X-Men collection.
The low shoulders kill me. It’s like his shoulder is separated from his collarbone. It’s a shame since the Outback X-Men look is one of my favorites.

I've said this on other UA-cam channels if Hasbro wants to raise the price then they should do away with the BAF parts, give us lots of accessories, pinless joints, and new sculpts. And it can be a cheaper version of a high end figure for people that can't afford mafex and those types. I'd rather have what would have been a BAF as its own figure and just let us buy what we want.

I LOVE legends BUT I am agreeing with you more and more as far as we’re not getting the super buff superhero proportions on these figs, I’d love the bigger shoulders and broader chests and buffer arms and legs with that V shape your talking about
This is what toys look like when you're trying to squeeze every possible penny out of the line before it gets canceled completely.
They should have waited until the new Vulcan body mold was done being used to make Vulcan to do this version of Havok. This guy should have been in line for that buck after his bro giant size X-Men Cyclops. So close, but so far, yet again...

Like most large companies I worked for…..Hewlett-Packard Packsrd, Agilent Technologies, Amazon….. middle management sucks! Seems like the same thing is happening to Hasbro.

Have you seen the MK 70 Iron Man from the "Controller" BAF wave? That dude actually looks like a man in an armoured suit that could actually beat up super villains.

The paint on the chest does a thing on video that make it look like it is shinning.
This is my favorite version of Havok. I’m not into pointy feet on my action figures unless it’s Tarantula. I’m disappointed that he’s missing the silver collar, but hey…the paint budget can only be stretched so far (j/k) and we need a selling point for the inevitable retro card release (not j/k). I am picking this one up, mainly because I’m a Havok and Polaris fan, but I don’t disagree with you.
To make matters worse, they didn't paint the rings around his neck, which he has in this outfit.
It's X-Factor Havok with the jacket from Peter David's run IIRC.

I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, But this classic Havok is the best because the new power effects for him are awesome and even though I don't have him, I will get him because I definitely need him for my X-MEN display, Thank you for the video Anthony.
I don't like to blame consumers, but too many people have apparently gotten so used to proportions like these that the standards for aesthetics seem to have dropped to abysmal levels. Companies only survive when people are buying their products and considering bucks like these continue to get used, then perhaps the problem is no longer just the product itself but the people who buy them too. There are even buyers who justify these sculpts with inane reasons like "the proportions are realistic" (utter bull as far as excuses go), so maybe the hobby is in need of a culture shift. High-end statues don't have proportions like these and neither do those 5POA toys marketed to literal children. Even Retro series, a line that should be many miles inferior to Legends, is getting a Moon Knight that looks *significantly* more comic-accurate than the latest Legends equivalent. Businesses respond to market demands and lately it seems like the market isn't demanding much. This isn't just a Legends problem either; 6'' & 7'' scale figures in general seem to be affected, as can be seen in Bandai's and McFarlane's output.

It's actually the sunfire body not the retro body. The retro body has its issues tho. I pick and choose figures from hasbro. When the figures are good they're good. When they're bad and lazy it's really bad. I wish there was more consistency
Unfortunately, marvel legends remains to be one of the only readily available line of marvel action figures out there. Not everyone can just go out and buy a mafex or a mezco figure on a whim. And most people generally like playing/collecting marvel legends figures. Personally, I have a bunch of them because they remain to be the only way I can have some of these characters. It's not fair to shit on an entire line because you think that their flaws are what make up the figures. There are figures out there that are genuinely pretty damn good and fun to play with. And at the end of the day, as long as the person who owns it is having fun, it's alright.

@@TheMattTrakker see, that IS a fair argument I'd say. I was more on the fence about someone saying the entire line is shit y'know. I know for a fact most marvel legends are shit, but the few that are good are pretty good, and the few that are bad, well they are the only available figure of them(I'm looking more at the eternals) I personally don't blindly buy any figure, I have to pick and choose which sucks because Hasbro is one of the biggest toy companies out there, so they should be doing better.
It's similar, we've seen this mold in a few Spiderman's even Anthony said they're decent if I remember correctly, like the PS4 Spiderman or the Web Man, but those had paint and were a different price point

I think it’s so odd that Havok and Cyclops have been sharing bodies for years but in this wave we get 2/3 brothers and one has a new body and one is this wiener.

It's even worse than the previous all-black Havok. Sure, I wanted the classic Havok head too, but the entire buck here is a huge downgrade, and the new head is the most bland sculpt ever. Several years of progress to get a worse figure. You are correct, 5/10 is VERY generous.

The only recent Legends figure I've seen that I want is Quasar, and that's just because I want an Annihilators team display.

Just think for $25 or a little more you can buy NECA or basic Sh Figuarts. These have better paint, accessories, and in Sh figuarts better articulation.
They don’t reuse the same body or effect piece a bazillion times either. Marvel legends is catching my eyes less and less because the rehashing is getting boring and feel like a cash grab. Much like the company that owns Marvel.
You will only get a choice to sleep when your baby is closer to 1. Until then, keep feeding...and cleaning
He should have come on the new Vulcan body. I don't have him but I assume that body is better. I am tired of these pencil thin legs on so many characters. And the low shoulders always bugged me even as a kid.
I have huge feet and the current dominant style for dress shoes is pointy and not squared. They look ridiculous. Humans do not have pointy feet. I don’t need to store my keys in the toe of my dress shoes.
