ME TOO! but I've never had a white Christmas because snow is rare and the temperatures are sometimes to warm. But sometimes we'll get down to the 30s and maybe even rhe high 20s
Sitting here now watching this video on my tv. The thing you said about not everyone having a Dollar Tree struck a chord with me. That is what I lije, about your videos. You do things that everyone can do. I don't have a Dollar Tree in my little town. Closest is an hour drive. I'm disabled now since Covid a year ago and came walk enough to go in store myself. My husband bless him does try to go in and find things for me in the town he works in so I get a few things along. My children do to if they are in a town that has one. I can take what they find me and things I have around the house and make things. I really enjoy the challenge especially if it is a trash to treasure. You are my kind of crafter. 💓
I'm 74 and raised in a small town in southwest Texas. Our local florist was a really cool guy and when I was 12 he'd let me hang out in his shop while my parents did their shopping. He taught me to make floral bows so I could help if he had a large order. Some of my best memories. 🎀🎄😁
I want to tell you I love everything you make. Sometimes when you distress something I say to myself stop there Holley you’re doing too much!!! But of coarse you don’t stop and when you’re done, it’s beautiful. Keep distressing you do it so well. 👍🏻
I am so glad that you copy text and pictures the "old fashioned" way (using carbon paper, etc.). These days it seems everyone has to have a Cricut (quite expensive, and, to me, not cost effective unless you make things in bulk). There is even a Cricut machine costing about $100+ for adhering images to blank coffee mugs. How many mugs, may I ask, does a person need? Anyway, just my rant, but again, thank you for showing a truly handmade way to do things!
I have yet to see any projects that couldn’t be made without a Cricut. Most of the channels I watch give viewers w/o a cutting machine other options so they too can create the same projects. A lot of creators with Cricut or Silhouette Cutting Machines don’t have the other expensive Cricut products like the mug press, heat press or mini heat press and instead use an everyday iron. If none of the old schools transfer methods work for anyone there is stickers, stencils, water slide paper, Saran Wrap transfer method and I’m sure many others. There are so many good instructional videos here on UA-cam. I think a project is only limited by your imagination. I would hate to hear any creator feel like they couldn’t create something just because they don’t have a machine either they can’t afford or feel like isn’t a good financial decision for them.
My Dollar Tree has signs to paint for Valentine's growth-tulips, cactus, etc. I am creating a "studio binder" out of ribbons and scraps. The Dollar Tree is great.
Wow. I stumbled upon your video and I sat here for 3 or more hours just drinking in your talents. Thank you for sharing with us. I honestly don't know if I will make a decor piece, but the love that you shared is all the light needed in a room. Peace.
Holy moly! I was an hour into this when I suddenly realized this was A 3 HOUR LONG VIDEO 😳 What an amazing display of creativity and commitment you gift us all with ❤️
I really Love the gingerbread man ! I also Love this truck with the trees in back. I just love everything, this is my favorite time of the year, Love watching the kids, they check under the tree every day,,look for anything new.👍♥️♥️👍👍
I think you’re the only American craft channel that makes the effort to include international viewers in their crafts. I loved the reindeer and I’ve never heard an American pronounce aluminium correctly! X
Aww, I try! This is why I craft with "everyday" items whenever I think of something. I imagine it can get quite depressive not living near a DT after watching a fun vid, lol. Thanks so much! 😊
They are all beautiful you work is very nice it's very clean and is very detailed Thank you for sharing All your ideas Love the snowman ⛄ is gorgeous all my love 💓
You are the dollar tree queen I thought I was but then I see your thumbnail reads just for one video 45 Christmas DIYs and my jaw dropped and I yelled oh my god she made 45 decorations! That's amazing good for you very beautiful work and love you incorporate items that are from the dollar tree so neat keep it going! Blessings to you and all!
My grandmother sewed all our clothes. Patterns drawn from brown paper! She called the RED check "gingham!" Black, when a small check, was gingham as well. Large…she just said "black check". Lol. I like both, whatever the name
Okay, I've watched this video at least 5 times. I absolutely love your creativity and the way you explain things. I know this is an older video, but I still come back to watch it. Thank you🤗
I really enjoy your crafts. They are economical but not tacky and cheap in appearance. Wonderful job. Your creations are truly inspiring. Keep up the great work
I use drywall compound and mix it with paint it hardens like a rock I love it too and I reuse everything too! I love your projects I’m starting a channel too it’s awesome to see everyone’s creativity and the sweet ladies are just the best Bargain Bethany started me off on UA-cam diys I loved it I’ve always crafted and I’m an artist oil ,acrylic ,etc I paint wood signs from scrap wood I love your channel! Yay 😀
Thanks for your Christmas craft video. You are such a joy to watch and your tips are very helpful. Plus your crafts are always top notch. Thanks again!!
Love your crafts and your calm voice. The floral bow is used with non-fraying polypropylene stiff ribbon, with wired fabric ribbon we pinch and twist to build bow then use a chenille stem to tighten down center so that we don't have fraying or cut the wires that make the ribbon hold shape, you can wind the bow the same if you want, just tighten down center to add tension so you can pull and twist using the wire.
Absolutely wonderful! Each and every one is unique and upscale! I can’t even begin to imagine my head filled with all of the creations you gift us with! And you always come up with new and different ones all the time...no repeats..wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! 🌲🌲🌲
I love your videos. I don't own a cricuit, so I do everything freehand. The carbon paper & dollar tree stencils are such a great idea for people like me. I'm retired so, your economic ideas are so thoughtful.
Loved the barn - I'm thinking it might be fun to add a teeny tiny hook to hold the wreath and then change it out to make it really seasonal for each season! How fun to try to come up with near tiny wreaths for each one - My first thought was tiny yellow beads for a lemon wreath for late spring summer - hearts for Valentine's fall leaves - I guess the little girl who used to live to make doll house decor is coming out in me! 😊
Great video of fantastic DIY Christmas decor items. Very high end rustic/farmhouse look, if I had the room, I’d do every one. Great projects, great variety, perfectly finished, well explained & executed! Really loved it all, truly impressed, thanks!
Your crafts are beautiful! Just wanted to add: "large" Black and white or red and white plaid is known as Buffalo Check. Small plaid is called gingham check.
Gingham fabric was what I learned to embroider on. My mom would have me make the little x inside the squares to form the picture on the pattern. I taught my granddaughter to do it when she was 6. My daughter never wanted anything to do with sewing
HI Holli! Oh I LOVE these long vids! I craft to them and I don't have to keep touching my phone when my hands are covered in paint! Thank you! Beautiful DIYS! You are so talented!
Hi, I am a new viewer and I wanted to say everything you make is very well made , I am going to do almost all your diys when I move in my house in December ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love how you use everyday items to create beautiful decor. I have been crafting for most of my years. I have accumulated so many things to craft with and I watch you I say I have all of the items. Hey I can do that! I love your work. You are my favorite. I do watch your every post. You are a great inspiration. 👍
I've used the DollarTree glass candle sticks for tge center between Trays. I lightly sand them then paint them with glass paint, in sections to look like the hard Christmas candies.
When I was scrolling I looked at how long the video was before I noticed who it was.. as soon as I saw it was you , and when I saw your name I said, "oh but she is worth it". I really like how you do nice finishing touches that just add to the detail of the project, and you do that very well, and I think you're you're You're also very frugal, and thats the beautiful part of it all, or for me anyway, and besides making some cool stuff, I really like using all different materials like you do. You just very good at ways to use all kinds of different things in your projects, that are out in nature, so basically free, as long as you have access to it anyway. You are the only crafter who does that type of thing, you are pretty amazing at all different types of home decor. I Just thought I'd tell you that. I really like your style, and how resourceful you are.. You have that whole Market cornered! I Appreciate all your hard work. Im sure a lot of other people do as well. Keep em coming please!!
Thank you so much for all of the time and effort you put into explaining each craft. I love to craft but am a "copy crafter". You are so talented and I'm grateful that you share your gift.
'Buffalo' as the name suggests, is the large check pattern. Gingham is a smaller check. Color does not matter. And yep, the black/white small checked ribbon is 'gingham ribbon'. It's all good :) I loved ALL of your Christmas crafts and very inspiring!
Oh yay! The party hats! I can’t seem to make a cone shape! I end up chopping the whole thing away trying to get the bottom even 😂 Thanks for the awesome tuts! I’m so into Christmas right now! And the aluminum reindeer is one of my favorites!
Hi Holli! I have sat here for the last several hours ENJOYING EVERYTHING I watched you create. I'm saving this video in my email tagged "KEEP! CHRISTMAS JOY WITH HOLLI @ HOT HUMBLE PIE! L8R ✌️
Just a suggestion... Instead of always using paint try paper behind other paper to keep true colors on the top paper. It isn't wet then. Love what you make!
Holly, you make the most beautiful projects. The beauty you create out of essentially nothing is phenomenal. I adore you and your channel. 👏🌟🏆👊💥❤ I have never painted the back of the calendar pages. I used this same image last year. I applied it to the back of a square DT sign with Mod Podge. I never had an issue with the numbers and letters showing through. I have heard that it is best to place them on a dark background. I would think that applying it onto a dark background would also darken the image after Mod Podge was applied? I would LOVE to know how you add the Christmas lights to your bathroom? Christmas lights are one of my favorite things about Christmas decor. I'm curious as to how you decorate with them.
WOW! 🥰 This video is above and beyond when it comes to holiday crafting. There’s enough on here to do for two Christmas seasons, and there’s no way I’ll be able to finish all of them this year. Love ❤️ it. 💚
I'm 2 years late to the party, but I love all of these projects ❤, and they are just as relevant today as they were two years ago. So glad I found you.
I'm SO glad you're doing Christmas!! I'm winding down fast on fall DIYs and am bout ready to start working on Christmas - do thank you thank you thank you!! Blessings!
Holly I can't express how much I love your crafts you are awesome awesome awesome I love watching you do your crafts it's better than a TV show this is Miss Dottie I'm 71 years old I do crafts trash to Treasures to just threw some burner covers away cuz they were Rusty I'm going to go dig them out of the the bad about the trash right now love you
Your projects look so high-end! I have been watching this morning, and even though I watched this before, I have gotten so much inspiration. Your music and pictures are beautiful and relaxing. Your voice is friendly and welcoming. Thanks for sharing these ideas!
Oh my gosh! Beautiful DIYS! Absolutely love the tree panel you painted...a must do for me...the scenery and music between projects is wonderful...put you in the spirit! Thank you so much.
45 of the sweetest crafts l have ever seen. Must make the stove cover snowman for my daught-in-law. Your peace and joy sighs are beautiful. The little packages were adorable.well really l loved each and everyone one of them
Getting ready to start some Christmas crafts and this video has so many awesome ideas!! Thanks for taking the time to show us how to make some of the best crafts I’ve seen!! Love the barn and the pillow!! ❤️💚
It’s my first time viewing one of your videos and I’ll be completely honest, I was expecting the usual slightly tacky DIYs you would do with the kids and then try to hide behind something else. I was SO wrong, each and every one of these ideas are beautiful, well thought out and well executed and make me want to take a week off work and spend the entire time crafting! Thanks so much for this! I’m looking forward to binge watching all of your videos!

Very nice
..excellent crafter, artist.
Goodwill and thrift stores are greT for supplies
Yes, be imaginative with what you have!!!! .♥️♥️♥️
If you have friends or neighbors who craft maybe you could make lists of crafting supplies to share or trade each other ❄🤍❄

Vase or vaice. Either one is fine. Just like cactus and cacti

Look for some of the Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs for your barn. They are not scary.

Awww! Thanks so much! Much love to you and happy crafting! 😊
