No worries, I realized that I didn't make it very clear in the video, so I'll make sure to push that out in the rest of the series. It does amuse me greatly how small the UV-5R is compared to the Motorola or Harris radios, even with the extended battery.
As I understand from their description, this is designed for the 3800. I'm doing my testing with the AA battery pack, which according to the specs I found online is a very close facsimile to the 3800.

The flip down visual pouch idea is awesome, I wish they would build this pouch to accept the 3800 extended battery

Could probably improve retention while dangling by wrapping the radio with a ranger band.
Increase the friction a bit? Not a bad idea.
