I’ve just watched this a second time and realised just how helpful your description is. The whys of same tone but different colours is so helpful. Also the mix of transparency and opaque texture. I’m glad you felt enjoyment painting this. This is how I love to paint too. 🎨❤️🎨
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this wonderful video. Because I have been grieving the lose of my son a year ago and recently my mother and I have been struggling to get back to creating painting, I now can’t wait to try this without Being anxious, depressed or sad. I look forward to doing this tomorrow. I’m going to put on music like you suggested. No pressure. I need to enjoy my passion again. Thanks again.
Missed you a lot Jane. I keep waiting every week for you and your video but when I don’t see I get sad, but after seeing this it has made my day. I boost myself watching your previous videos again and again. Please come back. Waiting eagerly. 😊 Thank you!!
Watching and listening to you has brought a new hope. I had started to get so discouraged with my lack that I had stopped enjoying the process and the journey. I can't wait to watch your other videos, but first i want to try this technic and process. Thank you so much.
Thank you for sharing your process Jane! The painting came out beautifully!! I love the gold with the sort of misty background . Having the gold against the dark makes it look so rich.
So excited for this. I am so glad that you post these videos and they have not only been a lot of fun but kind of therapeutic for me. I hope you are doing great and hoping to paint a lot more with you!
Thank you for sharing your philosophy of painting. You are so unique in your transdential (sp?). You are SUCH GREAT therapy for me and my mental illness. I need to focus on the process not the finished product. Not trying to ‘copy’ a painter to get to the same endpoint. Thank you Jane. You enrich my life. When I feel down I watch and listen to you paint.
That was so inspirational - I too LOVE painting with my fingers and found that this kind of process is extremely soothing as well. I’d love to see more of this technique from you. Wonderful painting and I loved the way you expressed your feelings while describing your process. Thank you.
Beautiful! I love your new meditative approach. This intuitive style speaks to me on an emotional level that more representational styles don't. It's quite spiritual. Please keep going down this path, even if it means fewer videos.
Someone asked me today how I learned to paint... I learned and am learning by painting. Having one experience after another with paint and playing with colors and mediums and brushes and styles..... there is something about being in that process without attachment that has become the goal. I love that you speak about that here... its the real painting experience!
Vaseline on your hands at night with white cotton gloves should help re hydrating your hands. I found that wood stain gives a nice effect over acrylic too! (I bet you would love the results)
@@PaintingwithJane Folk Art paint brand used to make beautiful wood stain but no longer. So off to home depot I went! Do a little practice with it some is oily, but the glow and softness is amazing and with modeling paste i have put the stain over an wiped away and can see designs, faces, people, trees show themselves which further inspire my art process!
It's great to have you back Jane I thought you were gone for good so it's great to have the best art teacher on u tube back I've still lots of your paintings to do so I'm kept busy thanks a lot Paul Walsh ireland
Thank you so much, Paul. I could never leave altogether! I just had to take a bit of a break and figure out what it was that I wanted to do. I'm glad to be back
WOW!!! your awesome paintings are great and your such an inspiration ! I hope you never leave dong tutorials I feel in love with you and what you bring others ones I watch just have music and don't say nothing .....You on the other hand teach so plain and simple that even a child can learn from you.....Thanks again .
Jane!!!! You soo inspired me today! I really enjoy using my fingers and I did today! I captured some of this scene! Loved your choice of colors! I truly appreciate your creativity and talents!! Thank you! Hope things are going ok for you!!
Hey Jane, I know this is an old video, and you are back now online with your teaching, which is awesome, I, for one, surely missed you 😄. This is an absolutely stunning abstract piece, I love it, and would really not mind a lot more of it 🤪
OMG!!! I've never, ever seen anything like this!!! I haven't done any finger painting since playing with poster paints when my grandchildren were toddlers LOL! I just had to watch this through again...totally mesmerizing! TFS
It is so good to have you back on Tuesdays!!! I have missed you. This painting is awesome and what you have said during the painting really opened my eyes on what I was NOT doing that I should be doing. Thank you so much. God bless
This made my day start off so well haha Happy Thanksgiving to you, Vince & Mr. Moon, cant wait to see you back at the easel!!! Much love & Happy Painting Dear Jane 🎨🖌💜💙💛
Love it Jane.......................please do more abstract stuff. It’s great to see how they develop along the way. Your love of forests/trees is fantastic. I am in the process of putting together a natural backtrack from two famous forests here in England (Sherwood forest in Nottinghamshire and Delamere forest is Cheshire). It’s nice to paint with natural sounds in the background..............that is what I have found. So I produce these soundtracks of natural sounds to help with either relaxation, sleeping or creativity.
This just jumped up on my You Tube page, so I thought I’d send you a little note, Hope you had a nice Christmas Jane, and all the best to you and yours in the New Year! Love, one of your admiring fans 😊 ❤️ 🕊️
I’m pretty sure I already commented on this one but stopped to watch and listen again. I’m so in sync with what you’re doing here. This is probably my fave of your videos. Thanks again.
Thank you for sharing this ……. You have such a relaxing voice that I truly got lost in my painting which didn’t come great but as you said I enjoyed the experience so yes I would love it if you make these type of videos 💙🙏
Thank you for all that you do for us. Your tutorials are so calming and help me to not feel worried about the end result. Even though I want to be happy with how it looks I also want to enjoy the process !!
Jane what’s the difference between parchment and bleached titanium? I love the cerebral blue softly blended w the alizarin. One of my favorite colors is burnt umber but so is Payne’s gray. I think I might try this with Payne’s gray. The turquoise deep is fantastic. Burnt sienna looks awesome w it. I think the Payne’s gray would be a good contrast w the burnt Siena also.
Jane, thank you so much for your channel and all the time that you take to do your videos. Could I ask a question you use a hair dryer on the model paste. Is this on the low setting or high? Also when doing this do you need to keep the dryer at a distance? Regards Rahul.
Thank you so much I’m very inspired 😊
Thank you for your honesty about your painting process. I applaud you for that. This was lovely....thank you.
Thank you, Anne

I loved this. You really inspired me to just paint for the experience. I think that is what I need. I’ve been trying too hard for an outcome lately.
Tammy, I'm glad to hear it! I hope you do give that a try. Enjoying your time is way too often undervalued, and it's really the most valuable thing!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for showing this technique.

Anything you like! There's not really a substitute for it. Just use what you have no what you like 😊
